[Oh, look! It's Lyra! NEAT. She's got her Furret on her lap, and they've both got expressions that totally say Important Business Ahead. Totally.]

Hey, guys! So, I had this really great idea. I know there's been a whole lot of awful stuff going on lately, what with the riots and the stuff that happened to some of the students here just recently, so I was thinking we should try to get a little positivity going. I figured since the school's been involved in some... bad stuff... with this whole humans-nonhumans thing, it'd do good if we could give back a little, you know?

I wasn't really sure what to do, but I thought about it for a while, and I think I hit on a solution. I talked with the Headmasters, and they gave me permission to hold a Bake Sale out on the school green. All the profits we make are gonna be donated to Brookhaven Hospital, one of the first hospitals in the area to have non-human staff.

The Bake Sale's gonna be held this weekend. I'll be working as hard as I can to get ready, but if anyone wants to volunteer to help with the baking, I'd really appreciate it. If you can't pitch in, then try to stop by on the weekend and show your support then, okay?

Look, we all know this FDC riots business is bullshit. No one needs me tossin' my two cents in, but unfortunately, I feel the need to. All the fuckin' Pokemon trainers on this campus better keep a close eye on their Pokemon, humanized or not. Take it from someone who knows, you don't want to be sitting there, lamenting the fact that you were too late to stop something from happening.

It's not a good feeling.

I know my own can take care of themselves, but it's not stopping me. Bulba, Char, Jolt, Nyx. If you wanna go to the city at any time, I'm coming with you. I don't give a shit, we're going together. Not a single one of you looks especially human, so that's that.

[Caim's found few reasons to address the network publicly. His attention has mostly been focused elsewhere. Whether he's trying to keep an eye on his sister, on Manah's next downfall into an abyss of despair, or the investigation surrounding the murder of Charlise, he's become quite the busy prince.

However, there comes a time when his thoughts must finally be addressed. He sits calmly and wears thought well, as if it were a set of armour and he was fully protected by it. His hair has grown too long, without a trim, but at least he doesn't look so completely disheveled. In fact, perhaps he likes the longer hair, which is why he's kept it. ~~Or perhaps he's truly becoming the Lord of Vermilion version of himself.~~]

How do you suppose nobility selects betrothals for their kin? In books, there are tales of grand feats to accomplish in order to prove one's worth. In other texts, it seems to be most accepted over frequent discussion and decision. The very idea, however, is one that should not be taken lightly. How would you select the other half for your own?

[He pauses again with some consideration and continues, though not without a degree of hesitance.]

[The camera flicks on to show a familiar view of Lyra's big dumb grin, though from what's visible of the background behind her, this is somebody else's room. ...Mac's? Huh. WEIRD.]

Guys! You're never gonna guess who I found! C'mon, Silv-- Rui, he's heading for the door again! Uh, hold on.

[Lyra ducks out of frame. There's some scuffling and some hard-to-make-out grumbling, followed by a few eager remarks from Lyra:]

No, c'mon, it'll be fun! How are you gonna make friends if you don't say hi? Oh man, Gold's gonna be so surprised!

[Finally, with another thump or thud or two, Lyra manages to drag her ~~poor, poor victim~~ lucky friend in front of the computer. Who's that surly-looking redhead? Care to enlighten us, Lyra?]

This is Silver, you guys! We're pretty much best friends. Right, Silver?

[Grumbled:] In your dreams, maybe.

He's a Pokemon trainer from Johto, like me, and he's really strong too. I know he looks grumpy, but don't let that Granbull pout scare you away, 'cause he's great. Dunno how he got here, but I'm pretty sure it's probably because he missed me that much. Oh, but don't let me do all the talking. Silver, here! Say hi to everybody!

[There's just a sigh from the red-head as he realized that with things as they are right now, the only thing possible for him to do is:]

Name's Silver, as she just said, and I'm sorry if my friends made your life a mess, those are things they commonly do, I guess.

Well babes, it looks like Michel's birthday is tomorrow and he's turning 17! And considering that's not exactly something any of you would know, so he doesn't mind telling you himself!

[It's going to be quite lonely without the gang to celebrate, truthfully. But he's intent on making the most of it.]

And Michel is intent on celebrating! Do you have suggestions as to wear he could go to enjoy himself? Nothing that would be illegal of course...besides he doesn't drink and smoke anyway, but I'm sure Final Destination has many hidden gem just waiting to be discovered!

[Video feed gives way to a mostly dark room. A lamp in the far corner is dim, implying the bulb is likely on its last 'limbs'. Caim sits at his desk, so like the one he had before. Almost everything is the same, except the layout is a little different and the wall once filled with a mural in the making - later covered in black - is no longer there.

Idly the prince wonders what might have come of his room.

He makes no initial movements, simply sits and stares at his monitor. He seems more like a silhouette in those moments, but eventually his hands move. A bracelet on his left wrist makes a very soft sound as it meets his desk.]

Divine providence. It delights me not.

[It seems as good a greeting as any.]

In which Eikichi gets an idea - PUBLIC POST

While I must applaud the art class, I believe that still life is all well and good...but there needs to be more real life! A human model to learn how each part of the body can be drawn! Our life is art in motion - are not some of the greatest pieces of artistic creativity portraits?

Ahh but where could one find a model in question? I propose...myself! I've drawn my share before with my mother over the years. It is high time for Michel to give back to the art community and allow you to study the human body a little more intimately! After all, there is nothing to be shameful of ~~especially if you're me~~ especially if you're me!

Besides, it is an art class.

Mister Garry, what do you think of this proposition?

Log 001 [Video + Action]

Shoot!

[There was someone in the shot, but he dove down too quick to really get a look at him. But the scenery behind him is nothing spectacular: a dorm room, a bit too empty, save for a few hero figurines on top of a dresser, and a box or two lying about.

For a moment, there's nothing, just the sounds of some shuffling and mumbling, both of which are hard to make out through the speaker. Moments later, a young man with messy dark brown hair, green eyes, and wearing the summer uniform comes into the center of the shot, his head popping up from what looks to be the underside of a desk. On appearances, he would look...well, extremely normal, except he has what looks to be a long ethernet cord hanging out of his right ear.

Blinking, he notices the camera, and he smiles sheepishly.]

I thought I turned that off...

[As he scratches his head, you may notice there's a book in his hand (Plato's Apology), which he sets upon the desktop as he sits, fully, in his chair.

He sits in the center of the shot.]

Well, I guess since I'm here I might as well do what I'd intended.

[He clears his throat, but it sounds rather false. Like there's no real phlegm in his throat, and it's just a bare imitation.]

Um, hello everyone. My name is X, and I just transferred in today. I'm a tenth grade student, and I came from Abel City.

[It's like he's going down a mental checklist, trying to pick out what important things to say. He pauses for a moment, looking thoughtful, as though to ask himself: Did I get everything? Did I leave anything out?

He seemed satisfied, though, and smiles.]

It's nice to meet all of you, faculty and students alike.

[A small flicker came over his eyes, before the video feed shut off.]

[Aaaaand Action!]

[If you're wandering around the BE / BW common rooms, you might spy X lying on one of the couches (still in his uniform), reading over one of his newly-acquired textbooks, with a stack of his others sitting neatly nearby in a comfortable stack.

For reading school-sanctioned material, he sure seems happy about it.]

[The feed flickers on, and at first, not much more can be seen beyond a ball of very creamy fluff with a leaf attached to it. What a way to start a video introduction, what with the Leafeon dipping its head and sniffing at the camera. What a funny contraption, it might think.

From behind it, however, a voice rings out, one that is gentle yet awfully fast.]

Thank you for greeting everyone, Leafeon...! How very kind of you.

[The Pokemon cries out with joy and hops away from the camera, leaving it focused on a very familiar face, one with hazy grey eyes and minty-green hair cascading down his back. His ponytail is notably undone for now, a nearby fan blasting in his direction as he tries to cool off. Despite his clearly weary and scalding condition, he smiles brightly into the camera, hands clapping together.]

Smash Academy! It has been far too long. [He glances off to the side, seeming a bit bashful.] I, ah... I must apologize. I had more of the world to see, and I left rather quickly. I was uncertain that I'd done the disenrollment process properly, as well... [He faces the camera again, looking more uplifted again.] Regardless, the hands have given me a warm welcome, so I suppose I have done nothing wrong. In fact, they have allowed me to increase my grade. It seems I am in college now...!

[He briefly pauses, a hand cupping his chin as he ponders.] Yet, I am not sure how to begin with my major... What does an aspiring Pokemon professor take...? [He shakes his head.] I would think that is not urgent yet. I have to check on my friends! My dear, dear friends...

[He folds his hands neatly on his lap, grinning.] I have missed you all. How are you doing? Are you all still here?

[ When the screen zaps on, there's a man that no one's ever possibly seen on campus before. He appears to be outside hiding under a tree, laptop in his lap and trying to keep out of the smoldering summer Sun. Though with the state he's in that's visible, sharp blue hair piercing against the light skin of his shoulders and collar bone (all burnt pink), maybe he is familiar if you were paying attention at prom...

He looks pretty distressed, though, and when he speaks, it's with some tinge of anger. ]

Who just leaves those stupid balls just lying around?! Who does that?! I ran right into one. RIGHT. INTO. ONE.

[ Fingers start to tear into the thick locks of azure spikes, green eyes on the verge of ripening to red. ]

I can't find anymore! I went lookin' as soon as it happened, but they're all gone!

[ Which means he's probably been running around naked as the day he was born, but what does he care? He needs out of this body NOW.

By the end of his outburst, he's crossed between looking upset and looking annoyed. ]

Thiiiissss is not cool. AT ALL. [ He touches his shoulder. ] ow.

[There is a tap on the screen as Eikichi works around with the tiny camera - being from 1999, he isn't very used to all this ~modern technology~ and the fact the thing is so tiny. However, it is obvious he is very excited about it...yet also that this guy is, for a lack of better words, an idiot about it.

But finally...VICTORY! Well for him anyway. Everyone else just gets pain.]

Whoa, okay, I forgot to do this for way too long! Guess I was so excited to be back I forgot all about the journal network.

So uh, for everyone who does know me, hi! Missed you guys, like, a ton. I'm totally surprised how little's changed! For people that don't, my name's Lyra. I come from Johto (that's a Pokemon region), and I'm fifteen going on sixteen. I like radio dramas, I watch a lot of Pointed Love and Steel Samurai (except I kinda like the new Pink Princess series better, I think), the Witch Detective books are my favourite, and I like pop music, fanfiction, exploring places, fighting crime, and Pokeathlon. Oh, and Pokemon training, but I guess you could kinda assume that, huh?

Don't be shy about saying hi, especially if you're big on Pokemon too. I'm gonna be working hard over the next little while -- I still have Gym Badge number sixteen to win, so I wanna be ready for it.

Oh yeah, roomie! I know my team takes up a lot of space, so just lemme know if it ever bugs you that they're out of the balls. I can just keep one out at a time if you need a little room.

I had a lot of fun making Halloween treats with everyone! If you see any Halloween-shaped cookies in the lounge, please feel free to eat them.
