The end of the year is approaching for all of us. As a reminder, please return the books you have borrowed from the library by the end of the term.

If you have any outstanding fees in the library, it is recommended you take care of those fines. Student grades are with held for any student that has overdue books or fees. If you would like to avoid this and the potential for your graduation to be affected, please pay your fines. Faculty paychecks are with held for any faculty in the same position.

If you have neglected to return your materials for a long period of time, you will be expected to pay the placement fee. Mr. Falcon, this does in fact include you.

Guess who's back?

[Early that morning, a rumbling sound filled the sky. Something was flying over the academy. Something familiar: the Egg Carrier was back. And that could mean only one thing.]

Well, no thanks to any of YOU, I'm finally BACK! Admittedly, my plan failed in a fairly spectacular manner, but don't think this is the end! I've got much bigger things in store for all of you!!

[Katherine's still not sure what she's getting herself into--teaching fashion design at a fighting school. A very bizarre fighting school at that. She doesn't even know what to make of it yet. There is a very slight twinge of nervousness in the midst of her otherwise confident demeanor.

I'm looking to hire some help.

Have you heard the proverb "Cheap things are not good; good things are not cheap?" It means, if you want anything of value, you'll have to be prepared to pay at least equal to what it is worth. This boat, while still functional requires much tuning to reach my desired specifications. It was cheap, but to get it fully working... well, that's another story.

I just need a couple of people who are good with basic mechanical work who can take direction. You'll be recompensed for your time and effort. Please let me know if you are interested.

After the whole eventlog thing of course

Time is relative.

We have all heard this phrase, most often used to describe the illusion that time has slown or sped based on interest in a subject. But what it truly means is something vastly different.

...I recall the first time I heard of such a thing. An illustration in a book I read as a child, the planet's orbit shown as the swing of a pendulum. An astronaut left the planet, leaving for the depths of space, his journey shown as a straight line.

He aged only a few years, traveling as he was at the speed of light. Surely this is impossible, but that was beside the point.

When he returned to the planet, he found that it had continued without him. Thousands of years had passed, and the world had forgotten him.

I often wondered about that man. What became of him, what the world he returned to was like... I doubt the writers of the text intended for us to think on it much. It was meant to illustrate the passage of time dependant on our speed through space.

For years I had forgotten it. But upon my return...

I am not that man. I am that world, and countless ages have passed through me.

Am I perhaps twenty nine? Have I remained twenty eight? Perhaps I have even regressed. Twenty seven, twenty three, twenty.

Time was impossible to tell. It both remained staid and sped past immeasurably. I have aged, I have remained the same, I have returned to a previous age. All at once, or neither?
