[Cyrus was awake, but just barely. In fact, he'd only awakened about a minute before and was very much still in bed, in his star-and-planet pyjamas that Mars had gotten him as a joke but that he wore anyway because they were practical and it wasn't as if anybody was ever going to see them.

The screaming wasn't so much what got him out of bed as it was Houndoom and Weavile's shared defender reaction, which was to let out attacks towards the door and window in anticipation of intruders. That forced his feet to the floor as he grabbed their pokeballs and recalled them with a sharp word about ensuring there was a target first. And since he was up he might as well attend to the matter at hand. In the dim light of the main room, he picked up the microphone.]

Sleep is necessary for not only health, but basic survival. Your inane ranting has no place in the day, but far less at an hour most often slept through.
