[Narrative/Action - Happy New Year]
He'd done well for himself. The town was down by a few people, a few obnoxious people with absolutely no backbones or any other means of assertive nature. But it hadn't been any grand feat of ease. Caim had not emerged the victor conveniently. All the same, it wasn't the pathway that really mattered. It was the end result and no matter what the case may have been, success was something he defined as utterly inevitable.
Failure was not an option.
And when he made a full realisation of his 'success', his lips upturned into a crooked, unnatural smile. A smile of pride and glee. A smile incomparable to all others.

There was a lake frozen over by the cold season of winter. Beneath it, slumbered a grand creature, a type Caim had never had the privilege of laying eyes upon before. It was curiosity and 'folklore' that had taken him to the lake, however. How could one see what was beneath it without shattering the ice? Undoubtedly potential ice skaters for the season would be disappointed, but Caim's ambition would not be stopped. Oftentimes, once a path was begun, he had to see it through - unless, of course, he knew immediately that it was a bad idea. When Furiae had been placed within that Seed of Destruction, he'd known it was a bad idea. But still Inuart had done it.
Idiots. The world was infested with idiots and it would be easier to progress without them. That was what had started Caim's rampage. Well, partially. The memories locked within his mind and in his heart were not ones he could escape. The closest thing he had was to cause others the same kind of pain that he experienced, or physically what he imagined his emotional suffering was equivalent to.
Ice rested beneath his feet, hard, unmoving, and stubborn. Like himself, he thought in hindsight. Far too headstrong to be easily tamed or restrained. Madness did that to one over time. But with his madness, came a sense of logic that no one else could be privy to. It left Caim not only unique, but impeccably one of a kind. His free hand lifted and from the palm formed spheres of red before he propelled them towards the ice. Of all the things for him to arrive with, he had to admit that it was supremely useful. Never mind that once the summer hit, it would probably be worthless to him unless he wanted to burn the entire forest down.
...That was an idea, wasn't it?
Little by little, the ice broke beneath his feet. He found the shore, stable ground to keep him upright, and chipped away at the protective cover of the lake. It took little more than stirring the surface tension of the water to awaken the beast that slept within.
The Kraken. Caim knew little of it. In fact, he knew nothing, other than the name. He'd been completely unaware of the flames that would emerge from its mouth, or its interesting array of abilities. Green flashed across the ground, the idle air, and the sky as the being of great power and Caim squared off against one another. He had hoped to do his business without attracting attention, but unless he silenced his opposition, such a thing would never come to pass. And even then, he was sure someone would see. Goose had the security cameras, after all. If he wasn't watching them, someone was.
He would be discovered, which he realised much too late. However, there was no going back and redoing his actions. He would simply need to press on. The less time he showed up on security, the better, which meant there would be neither dillying nor dallying.
The wit of the Kraken versus Caim's was not something the prince could measure. On physical strength alone - not to mention its extra skills that Caim was short on - the Kraken excelled and easily would have come out on top. But the creature was so aesthetically displeasing that Caim imagined he could use his intelligence to trump over brawn. From one side of the lake and to the other he led his opponent, until the ice across the entire lake had been broken into idle shards, creating a sea of obstacles for the serpent. And it was when Caim's broadsword avoided the twisting and turning of the Kraken's neck, that the appropriate turn of the wrists sent solid metal through green scales and flesh.
Like a gruesome story or legend, the Kraken proved to be as mortal as Caim. Its blood, red as it emerged, steadily darkened over time, stained his clothes and splattered across his cheeks as though he were some great soldier of war once more. He donned the leftovers of his victim as he severed its life with every furious cut. A bit of what he thought was a fin here. A bit of the mane, red and radiant, there. Caim's utter tearing of the creature was not compassionate. In fact, to watch him likely would have been horrifying. And he did it all so easily, without a moment's hesitance, even with a bit of an amused expression. For there was nothing more enjoyable sometimes than to spill a little blood.

The Kraken would serve as two things. A 'gift' for the academy. And a warning. That Caim was not to be trifled with. That he was no pawn. That he was no creature to be strung about on a leash. That he was not at the compassion of the Nameless, but rather that he was a man who controlled his own destiny. And those in the academy would find that out the hard way if such was necessary.
So he decorated the campus and the town with the innards and the outside of the serpent. And the head, he impaled atop a sturdy branch from a tree in front of the administrative offices.
Happy New Year, Smash.
[OoC Notes!
Long story short: Caim killed the Kraken and pretty much displayed his killing by leaving pieces of it everywhere for people to find. So the dormitory halls, the classroom halls, the unlocked classrooms, the cafeteria, the bathrooms? Yeah. They all have at least something, even if it's really small. If you skimmed the narrative (which I wouldn't blame you for), then just note that the head of the Kraken can be found put on display in front of the main office for the Hands.
For those who did read the narrative, Caim's reference to the Seed of Destruction can be seen here. It might be a bit spoileriffic for anyone who doesn't want to know, so don't click it if you're trying to avoid everything. (Also, it's a bit graphic and not for the faint of heart, I suppose.) This is one of the last things Caim actually saw before he came to the academy. /useful tidbits of information
Also, for those who don't know who the Kraken is, you can take a look at this here, which I used to reference a lot of stuff in this narrative.
For those who may wish to confront Caim (as he didn't go in disguise for this) once they've discovered it's him (or if they've known all along), you can either contact me about it, or form up a mob (as I'm sure more than one person would like to give Caim his just desserts). I'd be happy to work with anything as long as I know beforehand.
Additional Notes:
I understand this may come as a shock to a lot of characters (and possibly players). If you have any issues with it or questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. You can leave a note on my HMD, or send me a PM, or contact me over AIM (afkmkdirarf).]

That was it.
He was not going to be satisfied until he knew this man went to rot in a place he deserved. He knew it was the same guy. He could feel the cold, cruelness, through the death around him. It was from someone who had no regard for the innocent living, it would just die the same right? Mac had never felt so much hate for someone. Never in his young life. It made him shake with sadness, rage, and sickness. He wanted this guy down. Now.]

Pool Kraken from Zoology 2008 is that you? The loving monstrosity that was accidentally shipped to him with a bunch of fish he ordered for dissection?
Unless the city had more than one Kraken... This was definitly a Kraken. Ot The Kraken. By the time he picked up the third piece outside, he didn't have to wonder anymore]

SAMUS ARE YOU WIPING OUT ECOSYSTEMS AGAIN GOD DAMN[The news reports made all the other murders sound pretty gruesome, but nothing to this extent. Whether or not this is actually connected, the culprit was obviously all over the school.

He didn't have any emotional attachment to the kraken. He didn't even know it. This wasn't the first time he was ever exposed to death either but the way it was killed and gruesomely chopped apart without one hint of mercy from its killer, no one deserved that type of death.]

with permissions of mako
Someone here was a maestro. And more than ever, Majima wanted to find out who it was - though he still wasn't sure if it was to get rid of him, or to fight him.
Well! First things first. Get informed. Sink his teeth in and taste it. The security guard tapes, well, they were quite revealing. Either this man got sloppy, or he wanted to be seen. Not much of a difference to him. He was no one Majima knew personally, but it wouldn't be hard at all to pin the face with some manpower.
Sea life didn't fit the killer's usual M.O. so definitive proof this was not, but Majima nontheless made himself a private copy.
To watch. Study. Admirrre the handiwork. This was no mere butcher, this was an artist~!
This. Was. So, so much fun. And of course, he neglected to inform anyone else of this little discovery of his.]
