Hello! [She gives a small wave and a bashful smile.] This is Chiyo. I was just wondering... since Valentine's Day is coming up, would anyone like to join me in making some chocolates and other goodies? I've got a lot of the stuff prepared in the Home Economics room, but we can always buy more if we need it.

[She briefly looks off to the side to see if she forgot anything.]

Um... and, well, I just thought it might be good to get a head start, but I'll probably be in here most of the week, especially Friday to finish up some things. If... there's something you'd like to make but don't know how, then I'd love to help you. Um.

Is everybody ready for the new semester?! It's always difficult to readjust to school life after a long break like that, which is why I recommend keeping up with one's studies each day to keep prepared! But if you haven't done that, don't worry. You still have one day left to review the coursework and refresh your memory!

[Boy, that sounds... exciting...]

It looks like the mistletoe infestation has worn off just in time for us not to worry about missing class due to being stuck, too! I understand that it was particularly unpleasant this year. I'm sure many of us were reminded of... of things that we would much rather forget. The past should definitely be learned from, but not so heavily dwelt upon. Right then! It's a fresh new year, so let's all leave that behind us and remember to focus on the future! Let's hear some resolutions for self-improvement! You've all already made them, haven't you?

Here, I'll start. This year, I resolve to-- [Wait, simply maintaining perfect grades through to graduation isn't necessarily an improvement, uhhh]-- find at least three new activities to enjoy with friends!

...And to maintain high grades until graduation. [Just so we're clear.] But that should go without saying for all of us students!

Ciao! How is everyone today? I hope the winter break has been treating you well?

[It takes a moment for Mona to realize that the crowd of people listening in on the network are likely not her usual fair. Habit of popping up randomly to address her fellow employees seems to have gotten the better of her.]

Oh! How silly of me, you're probably wondering why the heck a strange lady is babbling on, and on. Well, maybe I'm not so much of a stranger to most, perhaps there might be a few at the academy who might recognize my face? I mean, you never know, I might have delivered pizza to your door in the past, or maybe you know me from that huge video game company? It is a small world after all.

[Mona makes a sharp waving motion with her hand]

Anyhow, before I go flying off on a completely unrelated tangent, the name's Mona! I'm what you could consider to be the 'newbie' at school. Though mind you, back home in Diamond City I'm a senior student, so not incredibly new to the whole school thing. As of now, I'll be attending classes at Smash Academy as a transfer student. Sounds fun, huh?

[Only then does she realize how long she's been on the road and how late it's suddenly gotten. Time sure flies when you're having fun.]

I took a little trip, but I`m back now. You haven`t forgotten me, have you? It hasn`t been THAT long. I think I should be upset if I`ve been forgotten already, or something!

In case we haven`t met, my name is Henry. Since I already graduated and all that, I`m gonna be a teacher this time! Won`t that be fun? If you take my class, I`ll teach you all sorts of neat stuff. From how to turn your friends into slugs, to granting sentience to a dismembered chunk of flesh, to plotting out an episode of magically-induced hives for an entire army, I can teach you anything about sorcery and dark magic. (What if the hives were SO itchy that the soldiers started flaying off their skin just for relief? That would be something to see...)

Juuust so you know, I`m not responsible for any accidental injury, disease, or death experienced in my class. Neither`s the school, more fine text, blah blah, risk of possible and permanent side effects from malevolent spiritual interaction, your responsibility... you understand. Keep it in mind, okay? Bye!

An Open Question

I've been thinking pretty hard about this for the last few days, and I'm really not any closer to figuring out an answer... I mean, there's no denying that what's going on is trouble. The sky looks freaky, we're cut off from our homes...

But aren't these shadow bug things, well, alive? Do we have a right to kill them? My dad wanted me to respect and value all life. I guess I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do when my enemy isn't another robot...

[Jeez. Check out this gorgeous but somehow pretentious-looking asshole on the screen. He flashes a confident (more like smug) and winning smile.]

So, this is the famed Smash Academy!

[He actually hadn't heard much about it before coming to FDC. But apparently it has garnered a fair bit of attention in the city itself, hoo boy. He knows he's got his work cut out for him.]

Allow me to introduce myself to those of you I haven't already met. My name is Hayato Saionji, but for those of you who are students here, Coach Hayato will be fine, as I am your new physical education instructor. [He figures it's probably slightly easier for the non-Japanese kids to pronounce. Slightly.] How could a fighting academy have gone without such a vital class for so long? Not to worry! I'll be sure to keep your bodies and your spirits in top shape from now on.

--I also noticed that this school has a cheer squad that lacked a faculty supervisor up until now. [RAS DON'T COUNT.] I've volunteered to fill that little hole as well. It's the least I could do, as something of an expert in the field.
