[Gordon wasn't sure exactly what to make of the new tensions in the City. On one hand he feels a little vindicated that someone else even considered talking animals unusual here other than him. It meant he hadn't quite gone nuts yet. But on the other hand, this was a pageant of redneck reasoning and good people were already getting hurt over it. But that wasn't what was on his mind at the moment...]

Out of curiosity... is there anyone here who, at some point, couldn't return to their own world? Or can't now? [He scrubs at his beard thoughtfully.] By accident or by design, it doesn't matter. And if you can now, how did you manage it?

[He knows he's not exactly being subtle here. But he's at his wit's end. He's having trouble even crunching the numbers to find the coordinates for his world and time, let alone finding a way to build a portal array back there. As much as he hates to admit it... he needs help.]

[Or at the very least, solidarity.]

[Tails wasn't used to this kind of thing. After he heard what happened to Sable, he started fearing a bit for his own safety. Sure, Tails could defend himself. And he'd defend his friends if he had to.

But he couldn't fight back against humans if they attacked him. It wouldn't be right. It would clash against his morals something fierce. They weren't as bad as Dr. Eggman was, and even Tails wouldn't try to directly hurt Dr. Eggman. He was never much of a direct fighter; he'd be in a machine, carrying Sonic and/or Knuckles around, or using gadgets.

The situation hurt and angered him quite a bit. But he couldn't fight people just because they were hurting others. It wasn't right. And that made him even more upset.]

I don't get why people in the city hate us non-humans so much... I can't fight them, it wouldn't be right. But I'll support my friends regardless. Don't let them bully you, don't confront them if you don't have to. There's no reason to cause casualties just because they're trying to do the same to us. It won't solve anything.

[ Manah looks a bit troubled by the recent news casts and trouble within the city. ]

This violence. It's feeling more and more like home.

[ and that's not necessarily a good thing. Too many memories. Too many things best left forgotten, but the recent violence has brought them back to the surface. She seems to look through the computer, almost as if talking to someone else on the other side of her desk. ]

The Watchers have come to play
The Watchers have come to create a new world.

The Watchers sing.
The Watchers dance.

........

[ but as soon as it came, it had left. She's not exactly aware of this side of her. It comes and goes and she seems to lose time. Her red eyes focus back on the screen as if nothing happened. ]

I really hope all this violence gets resolved. This seems to be the only safe place in the city. I had planned on going out but it seems that plan isn't going to happen. Perhaps another time.

[ ooc: I've been waiting to do one of these :3 ]

A video from Max appears on the network.

Vinnie must have helped him make it.

Max is clearly wearing a pair of steel bear ears on the top of his head.

"I made a bunch of animal ears down at the forge. Like, to wear on your head. If you wanna wear 'em to show your solidarity, you can come get some from me. Free. Don't cost you nothin'."

Max pauses and takes a breath. "Lemme just say one thing. I been in a situation where people decided to pit all sortsa groups against each other so they could take advantage of all of us while we were fightin' with each other. Don't let whatever pack of douchebags who's behind all of this whatever the heck it is push you around into bein' afraid. A lotta my friends are pokemon or echidna guys or all sorts of stuff. And just let me say -- you pull shit on one of my friends you got these to answer for."

And here, dear viewer, Max flexes into the camera. Slowpoke appears over Max's shoulder somehow, grinning happily into the camera that he isn't aware is there yet. Your computer screen probably just broke from the sheer majesty of it all.

In case your screen didn't break, what you see is an exasperated Vinnie appearing from behind Max (he was evidently here the entire time, but just, you know, eclipsed by Max's giant biceps) leaning over to push the very obvious 'video on/off' button that Max has no idea how to work. The video feed cuts off.
