[ Manah looks a bit troubled by the recent news casts and trouble within the city. ]

This violence. It's feeling more and more like home.

[ and that's not necessarily a good thing. Too many memories. Too many things best left forgotten, but the recent violence has brought them back to the surface. She seems to look through the computer, almost as if talking to someone else on the other side of her desk. ]

The Watchers have come to play
The Watchers have come to create a new world.

The Watchers sing.
The Watchers dance.

[ but as soon as it came, it had left. She's not exactly aware of this side of her. It comes and goes and she seems to lose time. Her red eyes focus back on the screen as if nothing happened. ]

I really hope all this violence gets resolved. This seems to be the only safe place in the city. I had planned on going out but it seems that plan isn't going to happen. Perhaps another time.

[Caim will not openly respond to this for a couple of reasons. The primary one is that he still doesn't have his sword and while he probably should have seen her dead some time ago, he's not at all surprised to see some of her bolts coming loose. She could only feign her sanity for so long.

...And he's probably not too different in that respect.

Suffice it to say, on his list of things to do is to make sure Furiae is safe and once he knows she is, he'll be keeping a close watch on a certain blonde...]

[ Furiae hadn't forgotten the presence of the girl turned woman from her own history. How could she? But the blonde-haired one had been pushed and kept back from haunting her thoughts, and it made her life much easier to not think of her at all.

She hadn't flinched much -- not too much, anyway, the last time Manah had made contact to the public on the network. Furiae saw it, but had nothing she wished to say to her, and so went on. Maybe she would have done the same today...

If not for those words.

Furiae had heard them before, back when she had been captured. Words of the Watchers. Love for the Watchers, love for you...

Even now that she stood much older, the priestess's voice as she said her words were all too familiar for Furiae. She didn't know if she watched the whole thing or not, but soon enough her computer was shut down completely.

That day, Furiae decided to keep to her room longer than usual. Their paths hadn't crossed in a long time, and Furiae wanted to make certain it wouldn't after witnessing that.

She was, perhaps, a tad bit shaken up. Juuuust a tad. ]

[Pit's looking at Manah like she was possessed or something. WHICH... doesn't seem to be too far from the truth! Needless to say, he's kind of worried.]

Uh. Hey there! You okay?

[ not possessed. not anymore at least. ]

Just a bit on edge, I suppose. It's been some time since I've been in this sort of chaos.

Yeah, I can understand that. Things are getting weird lately. It's kind of uncomfortable.

[A brief pause hangs between them, like he's considering whether or not he should say something.]

You wanna talk about it?

Very weird. This place is usually strangely peaceful. [ well most places are more peaceful than her own. ] I'll have to carry my staff around again.

[ though talk about it? Manah's not really the talk-about-it person. She's lead a cult then lead a revolution... ] I'm not sure what there is to talk about. [ though that doesn't mean don't... ]

To be fair, I wouldn't even know where to start. I don't get why we can't all just... talk it out or something. I feel like the entire city's fighting for the wrong reasons. Maybe they're scared?

If only things worked that way. People tend to want to fight instead of talking things out. It's a pity that it's often that way.

They could be scared. Fear does a lot to people.

I wish you weren't, but you're right. [He looks down, like he's feeling around his memories.] I've seen people fight for really dumb reasons. But when they want something bad, they'll do anything to get it. But in this case... no one's getting anything, are they? Everyone's just getting hurt.

Sometimes a fight is just to prove who's right or to blame the other side. [ there was a lot of that. ]

People fight for a lot of reasons, don't they? ...I just don't want anyone to get hurt. These lines people keep crossing between each other remind me of something I don't really like to think about.

[He keeps glancing around while he talks, like he's trying to talk about something just out of his comfort zone.]

So that's why... I'm gonna do my best to keep a lookout for everyone. If I see anyone try anything funny... I'll put a stop to them! Nonviolently. ...Well. Kind-of-violently. But nothing cruel!

People fight for many reasons. [ for gods, to fight the gods, for the hell of it. ]

It's hard to look over everyone by yourself. Perhaps you'll need some help. I wouldn't mind joining the good fight.

[The angel finally brightened up some.]

It's always nice to have some help! With you on my side, it should be a lot easier keeping innocent people out of harm's way.

[Like Sable...]

Definitely. I know my way around a battle.

You said something about a staff! Is that what you use to fight?

I do. I can fight with that and magic.

Wow! You're definitely well-equipped to take on anyone that crosses the line! I wield staffs too. Among... many other things!

We'll make quite a pair.

No one will be left unprotected with us around! We should come up with a creative team name. Like "Staff Meeting"!

[His face drops after that.]

...Except maybe a little cooler than that.

That would be a good idea, though I'm afraid that I'm not very good at creating names.

It's ok! I obviously blew it the first time around. Well... Hope you'll feel better soon. And... if you ever need someone to help you out of a tough break, I'm always a shake of an angel's feather away. Count on it!

I hope so, too! I haven't been out in the city for a while, but now I don't know what I should be doing. Why is everyone becoming so hostile against one another like this? I don't like it.

[ True to his words, Chili appears distraught. However, it seems that he hasn't noticed that Manah was acting strangely. ]

I'm not sure what there is to do. Trying to calm the crowds hasn't done much good. I don't like it either.

[ Well, this is kinda normal for Manah. it comes and goes. ]

Have you tried? What do they do? I hope they haven't hurt anybody more than they already have! That's unacceptable! Still, I'm going to think about what I can do to make sure my classmates and my teachers are okay... Definitely!

I have. [ Manah's pretty charismatic. ] Unfortunately most didn't listen. Some did, however.

They didn't listen? [ That is a little disheartening. ] You'd think that everyone would just want to get along! Maybe that's easier said than done.

The best we can do is just stay positive and help everyone out! Maybe a positive attitude will be contagious! [ He punctuates this point with a grin. ]

Unfortunately it doesn't always work that way. [ nope, not at all. ]

That is a good plan.

Hahaha, at least I came up with something that checks out! That's what I'll do, then! I won't let anyone get hurt if I can help it, no way!

I'm certain that'll help a lot of people.

[Uh oh the guidance counselor is going all creepy, that can't be good.]

It does. I wish there was a way to quiet the fighting.

I've seen a lot of war and fighting. I suppose it's made me a bit more accustomed to it.
