[Oh look. It's a new student. Who came right after graduation. Oops. But she fiddles around with the webcam, curious about the technology. Her face shows a mixture of wonder and apprehension, hidden behind the facade of a cold stare.

She fiddles with the device more and it switches off. She decides to communicate in text.]

Hello. I'm a new student here, though it seems the school year just ended.

[Another new student. Like most of them, GLaDOS files it under "things I don't care about". That is of course...until she read the name. She can't believe this. Really, she can't. What the hell is UP with this school? First Rick, then Caroline. Now Cave, Wheatley and finally Chell? Is this school TRYING to piss her off?

...whatever. Doesn't matter. Game face: set.

You can do this GLaDOS. Who knows? Maybe this will be amusing.]

Oh, hello there. Couldn't take the memo I wanted you gone, hmm? Typical, you never listen to a thing I say.

[No. It can't be. That human with white hair. It's not. It can't. GLaDOS is a computer. Sometimes a potato. Not a teacher. She's supposed to be back at the Lab. How did she find her here?

Chell is understandably alarmed and pissed off. Maybe it's time to pack her bags and move on.]

[It's almost a question, but it's the most she's ever said to her.]

[Indeed, the school year at Smash has just ended, which means Samus is not obligated to be teaching here anymore. As a result, she's become increasingly absent on campus... but not completely so.

...She kind of sort of procrastinated in cleaning out her desk this year. Yeah, this'll take multiple trips to clean out.

Chell my find in her hallway explorations a blonde woman briskly walking up and down the hallway carrying a large box full of odds and ends; papers, supplies, wires, tools, scrap parts, works-in-progress... gun parts? Things that look like they might as well have been plucked straight out of Apert a science fiction movie.

One such thing slips out of the box and onto the floor in Samus's haste. It's a tiny gray and red cube, no bigger than three or four inches in size with little nub-like parts on the bottom.

Samus doesn't seem to notice it has fallen out.]

[Chell does see the small cube upon exploring the hallways of the school. She doesn't know what it is, or what its purpose is, but seeing as she has left her Companion Cube in her room, she curiously picks it up.

Force of habit, she supposes, but cubes have always proved useful to her. So she takes it and walks off.]

[ During her first visit to the school, Caroline had run into Chell, so she's actually happy to see her. There had been some confusion about the logo on her shirt and now she could apologize for the misunderstanding. It was important to keep good contact with future employees, after all. ]

I'm glad you could make it. Getting here early means that you'll have plenty of time to get acclimated to your new school. It will give you a head start once classes do begin.

[Because Carbon is too confusing with her apps Chell doesn't know she's been here before. In fact, as far as she's concerned, this is the first time here. So she doesn't recognize Caroline. But the voice... it's eerily familiar.]

Perhaps.

[Except now she's considering leaving. After knowing that GLaDOS and Rick were here, and the things Shadow said, she pretty much has one foot out the door. Oops.]

[It was brief, but Cave was certain he spotted the logo of his precious Aperture Science while the woman fumbled with the device. The image of one Cave Johnson appears on her screen, wearing his patented salesman smile.]

Well hello there! Good to see new students arriving early. Judging from your shirt, I would imagine you know who I am, yes?

It's so refreshing to see that the good reputation of Aperture Sciences has spread so far that we have a fanclub. Don't worry, if you work hard, and your parents love you enough, they can sign you up for my business ethics course, assuring you some level of success in all future endeavors.

[Well. Chell certainly recognizes that enthusiastic voice. And it's creepier that it's directed at her. He's speaking to her, like his abused test subjects. Well, she is one of the abused test subjects.

This school is out to get her. She is convinced that this is Hell. The five people she would meet in Hell: GLaDOS, Wheatley, Rick, Cave, and Caroline. They're all there.

She can't fathom any sort of response to give to this man. Nothing but utter hatred fills her core for him. He's responsible for everything.

So, sorry Cave, but you get no response from Chell. If you ever run into her, though, expect the worst of glares.]
