So there used to be a pokemon who lived in the volcano, yeah? Named Pele or somethin'?

Is she, uh, back? Or is there some other pokemon in the volcano makin' things noisy? My forge is on the side of the volcano and, uh, it's been sorta noisy out there for the last couple of days. You know, volcano sounds. The sorta sounds volcanos make. Rumbles. Little shakes. Volcano stuff.

I ain't fireproof or nothin', or I'd go in to check it out, unless somebody can make me fireproof with magic? So, what I'm sayin' is, I need somebody to make me fireproof with magic so I can see what's goin' on in there.

This ain't an invitation to turn me into a pokemon again. Nah, if I type that somebody'll think it's funny and turn me into a pokemon again. End up as a fire pig thing this time. That girl had one who used to be here, he looked pretty cool, had like a big iron breastplate. I'd better delete that. Wait. Oh crud, how do I turn this voice software thing off? Uh. Computer, stop. Stop doing the thing. Computer, stop typing. Computer no. Computer, knock it off. I guess just, delete it with the button. Backspace. Maybe stop talkin' to the computer and sayin' what I do. Yeah.

Yeah, if Pele and that water-guy were back it'd probably explain what's goin' on at the lake and stuff, too.

Uh, you ever met a pokemon trainer before? Like, seven year old kids jump outta the grass and throw pokemon at you. Ten year old kids beat up pokemon gods all the time.

And their parents just let them go out like that without so much as a worry?

I dunno, that place is sorta weird like that. Kids just walk around wherever they want, 'cause they got a pokemon.

There's other Pokemon that live in lava, but... maybe y'oughta consider movin' the forge. Or at least gettin' your stuff outta there. With the earthquakes an' water levels an' shit, it can't be a coincidence.

I can't move it. I use lava for the forge, you know that. This is Dwarf Fortress. And pullin' out ain't my style. Feels wrong to abandon a post.

...I mean I guess you could try an' punch her, but... y'know, I can't remember if you've ever punched a god. Doesn't seem like the best plan t'keep the forge though.

T'be honest, I always figured they were takin' it easy on the kids out've admiration of their bonds an' teamwork, that kinda thing. You beating her up for the right t'use her volcano might not get the same response.

Aw, I already asked her about settin' up the forge on the volcano back when she was here. Told her what I was usin' it for, and she said that was a good use of her volcano. I musta impressed her with my argument skills.

Maybe she was more impressed with your muscles.

Ah, dang, there's stuff going on in the Volcano too? Or maybe it's the same thing... There's been a bunch of dust and ruckus around some of the other mountains. Hikes are getting kind of perilous!

I just hike from the school to the forge is all. What sorta other thing is goin' on in the mountains? Just dust?

Heck of a lot more landslides and chucked rocks than usual, for one. For two, chucked rocks aren't even usual! And Edel- that's my Absol- hasn't been able to figure things out either so i think there's something else involved, yeah.

What's an Edel or an Absol?

Oh! Edel's her name. An Absol is a type of pokemon- they're very good at detecting natural disasters before they happen.

Oh, okay. I know a lotta pokemon but I never met one like that, I don't think.

I'm not surprised. I don't think there are any living around here, but who knows! They can be really elusive.

With all the earthquakes and stuff too, it almost seems like the mountains are trying to move.

Lava, huh? Pyrrhon's the Sun God, so not exactly the best at telling what's going on with earthly matters, but he could go down there and check what's going on if you like!

So, if you're a sun god, can you make me immune to fire?

Pyrrhon's capable of channeling his godly powers to others, yeah! So long as they're angels.

You, though? Nnnno, not so much.

That seems sorta... you know, crummy. Why can you only work your god magic on angels and not regular people?

[pyroblasters]

Dunno. It's just a thing! Pyrrhon's not the one that wrote the rules here.

So wait you're a god but you didn't make the rules? Who made the rules? Super God?

[pyroblasters]

Well, there are rumors like that, yeah. Some even MORE all powerful being that designed my whole universe! Treats the whole place like some kind of game! And you know, I somehow get the weird feeling that in a way, he's responsible for this 'Smash' place too.

That's just a hunch, though.

Okay, so, you can't help me out because Super God says you can't, unless you just wanna fly down into that volcano all by yourself and check it out?

Yeah so that still doesn't help me get down there and check out the volcano.

Uh, maybe? I mean, it ain't spittin' out chunks of lava like that one volcano back in Green Earth but it ain't like I'm a volcanoologist or nothing.

Knuckles, Blaze and I went down there no too long ago, and it wasn't all that active. If what you're saying is true, then it's the start of a trend that I don't like the sound of.
