In spite of the chaotic events of this year's graduation, the school and even the rest of the city seems at peace! [He said, jinxing the entire school.] Truly, these carefree, idyllic, lazy days of summer...

[He suddenly points at the camera, his brow furrowing into SERIOUS BUSINESS MODE.]

Should be anything but! Summer break here is too long to waste on doing nothing!!

[Whoops, he has to check himself here. Deep breath, Kiyotaka. He's trying to prove to a certain someone that he's not just a stick in the mud.]

However, while it certainly is important to refresh one's memory when it comes to schoolwork, all of this free time is also a perfect opportunity to have fun and enjoy ourselves! Even I know that one cannot just spend each and every hour cooped up studying.

[But if you listen closely you can hear the tortured screaming of his soul.]

So tell me: what does everybody do for fun at times like these? There's a whole world of hobbies and recreation that I have yet to experience, but I am looking to change that! Let's work together to make the summer enjoyable, shall we?

Well... I've made a habit of hiking in the woods, and swimming in the lake in the evenings. You wouldn't happen to be fishing for ideas, would you?

Of course! Broadening the mind and experiencing new things... That's part of what life is all about, isn't it?!

[Mostly he just wants to make sure he has a good idea of what other people consider fun so Leon can't tell him his own ideas don't count.]

But hiking and swimming are both excellent! I swam a lot last summer, and plan to start again soon! [Once it stops being awkward to be near a certain lifeguard.] Ha ha ha! Exercise is both fun and beneficial!

[Had Gordon known about that, he'd tell him to PLEASE, go swimming with said lifeguard. Nearly drown on purpose and get mouth-to-mouth, and don't forget to enjoy it! That's all part of growing up!]

Probably some hunting and fishing, as well... [If Ziio has anything to say about it. Not that he's complaining, he's spending less time in the river then the fish now, at least. However, he's starting to wonder if she's teaching him how to, just to see him in the wild without a shirt on.]

I admit, I will do SOME work this summer, but it's mostly on research projects that don't really have a due date attached to them.

I find training in the stadium both enjoyable and productive. Spending time in the wood out back is also enjoyable and would also do most of the student body some good. Get away from computers and cellular telephones and television for a day or two and rediscover nature.

You're absolutely right!! As big as this city is, it's still surrounded by so much beautiful nature! It would do everyone some good to go out and appreciate it! I wonder if a camping trip could be arranged?

But you're right. The simplest things are always the best things! Sunshine and hotdogs and spending time with friends. I think so long as you can keep enjoying the good, little things you'll never have a bad life.

Of course I haven't forgotten that. It's important to be cautious as long as those things are down there, but... while there is nothing we know of that can be properly done so far, there's no point in wasting precious time just worrying about it!

Very funny... Is it really that unbelievable that I can do things that aren't studying?

[Fun? Pulse was always a bit conflicted with the subject. Many of the things humans saw as fun during the summer, he didn't find fun at all, especially when it involved being out in the local hot and humid atmospheric conditions. And what was wrong with staying inside? Does it necessarily involve a coop? ...Was he doing it wrong?]

A lot of internet crime happens during the summer, when people steal information from vacation and cruise booking sites... so I'm usually really busy then...

But when I have time to myself, I suppose... I like to participate in online simulations of traditional human sports, like, um, football.

[Not American Football. Why do they call it that? Usually they're moving the ball with their hands. They should call it "Handball" if they're not going to be consistent.]

Though I rarely ever play against actual people... One time I tried the multiplayer option, and after one round, some of the other players said something like "wtf h4x" and then everyone disconnected for some reason. I didn't really understand why they thought they had been hacked, since I didn't detect any unusual activity in the data transfer, but maybe that would explain why their avatars were moving so slowly on the field...

An... online sports game? That doesn't make any sense! It's all about actually being on the playing field, isn't it? You can't exert yourself just mashing buttons! No, let's host a real sports match!

However! The pursuit of justice is far more important, even in the summer. No, it's even more important when everyone is letting their guard down! Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the internet...

That which is called "fun"...It is beneficial to the mind and body to withdraw from active work. However, we must never be idle! To do so is to betray the very world we must serve.
