[Not much preamble to the video.]

Happy New Year.

I got a piece of paper I need studied - I wanna know where it came from, who's touched it and pretty much anything else about it that might be unusual including whether it's been handled by a ghost or some other undead type person. Handwriting expert could be useful too because I wanna see if it matches the writing of someone who was on campus. Methods scientific or occult or a little column A and a little column B - Don't care. Just need results. I'm willing to pay.


ACTION! Choose your own adventure.

Scenario A: Knuckles is in the Gym in the afternoons beating the snot out of the training bag, or in the weight room, lifting the custom weights Max made for him in ridiculously high volume. He's less his normal cheerful self and it's pretty clear he's working through some frustrations but don't let that stop you saying Hi! He's more than happy of the company, honest! And if you're up for a spar, he would be more than happy to oblige you there, too.

Scenario B: Inbetween or after classes, you can find him in the halls or finishing up whatever work he didn't get done during whichever class you happen to share with him. He may also be walking inbetween buildings or across the quad or to the gym or anywhere else you may have reason to run into him.

Scenario C: In the city, at night. You're less than likely to spot him unless you're on the rooftops of FDC or doing something you shouldn't be doing and he happens to find you. He's been patrolling late evening through to very early morning, especially in the area near where they found Charlise's body, and wherever else recent violence has been reported on the six oclock news. Feel free to either be also inspecting and looking for clues, Oh Fellow Warriors of Justice. Or just be someone who happens to cross his path.

Yeah - might have to be pretty damn advanced, though. It's a note that got into my place, into my room, attached to another item without me or Goombella waking up, no other traces left and I'm.... well. I'd bet almost anyhing I know who it's from. Just don't know HOW.

Uh... I know a little bit about spirits and, um, ghosts. There are some shamans where I am from who can touch some objects and feel its - what should I call it - spiritual connection? Um, something like that, they feel it right away! I am not that good yet, probably, but maybe I can try to help a little bit depending on what you are... ah...

[Mac saw the video post but...honestly? He had no idea what to say about it. On the network anyway. He actually made his way to the gym to think about what was said. Punch some bags and what not. Clear his head. What he usually likes to do here other than just train.

And what do you know? There was a Knuckles punching a punching bag too. Might as well then. Talk to him here. He seems just about as cheerful as Mac was, honestly.]

[The poor punching bag. If it was physically possible to break it, Knuckles probably would have done so by now. As it was, his fists were a white blur and the noise of impact was very loud at each strike. He did, however, stop when he saw Mac out of the corner of his eye. He placed a hand on the bag to stop it moving and whiped at his brow.]

Hey man. You come to get some punchin' practise in?

Uh, yeah! Yeah...

[Though something is on his mind. And with Knuckles pounding on the bag like that well. Mac is now more inclined to ask. Before Knuckles can ask what was up with his behavior, Mac started going down that direction.]

It is. I think Charlise left me a message. Have a couple of people trying to figure that out for me.

[It had stuck with her. That ever consistent possibility that someone would happen to her. That she was the perfect kind of person to make a victim out of. Except there were still things about her that people didn't know. And unless they had the knowledge on gardevoir or a pokedex - she imagined - they wouldn't be informed.

She didn't even know the extent of her abilities. Very loosely Voile knew two things: she was empathic and she had precognitive abilities. The latter not incredibly strong, but the story went according to some professors that gardevoirs were prone to visions of the future. And she imagined that was very circumstantial and not at all something common or frequent.

And she couldn't think of a single time she'd foretold the future. In any way.

At any rate, she had kept her word. Knuckles wanted to take her out to get her something that would - she assumed - allow him to keep an eye on her. In the unlikely event that she would wind up in trouble. So she had gone to the campus gym to see if he'd stopped in... dressed like.

[Knuckles had just finished pounding that poor, poor sparring bag and was ready to head out for the day when she walked in. Conversely, he was wearing some pretty simple shorts and a little white tank top. But he always dressed pretty simply and she always dressed really pretty. His face went from surly frown to bright grin in the space of a few seconds of having noticed her.]

Hey! How you doing, buddy? Come to pump some iron, huh? I can spot you if you want.

[He was kidding, of course. But she knew that.]

Scenario B

[ Furiae hadn't seen the Echidna since they had arranged to meet, to discuss Caim's location during the time of a murder. The murder hadn't left her mind too quickly after, but it had moved more and more to the back of it by the time she happened to see Knuckles again. It was by chance, on her way to the library, and the young woman had to think why the bright red lengths looked familiar - but a name came to her, and she stopped in her footsteps. ]

Mister Knuckles?

[Knuckles was pretty well lost in thought when he heard his name. His head perked up and he looked around before spotting a sort of familiar figure. He smiled - it was a genuine smile. He remembered her and how pleasant she'd been. He offered her a small wave.]

Hey, Furiae. How's everything been?

Scenario C

[Knuckles isn't the only one patrolling at night. If he looks over, he might spot Eikichi walking in the streets himself, the telltale bluish spot of hair and outfit walking around with...a giant guitar case.

He looks unusually serious, especially considering how he conducts himself at school during the day.]

[That blue hair was a dead giveaway if nothing else. Knuckles spotted Eikichi through his binoculars and made a run along the rooftops to catch up to him. He assumed his fellow student was doing some investigating of his own.]

I don't think it was a Zombie. I think it was a Ghost, though. I actually think it was the ghost of my friend who got killed in the city. Charlise.
