[Considering how infrequently Knuckles had made network posts this entire year, seeing him in another one so soon after his first was a little odd. The fact that he looked royally pissed wasn't too good of an indication either. He was in his apartment and the TV could be heard in the backround. Some news station.]

I dunno how many folks knew her, but a student got killed a couple weeks ago. Her name was Charlise, though mostly people called her Kitty. She was a Drifblim, and a member of Lash's Pokemon team. She was a collossal pain in the ass sometimes, but she was still a friend of mine.

It was on the news the other night. No names were mentioned but I went to the Police station in town and checked. I also got a good description of the guy who did it. And how it happened.

So, this is kinda a cautionary tale for Ghost types. If you get killed while you're in Human form, apparently it's for keeps even if you're TECHNICALLY already dead. Least, that's how it looks.

I dunno what's goin' on so far as a funeral or whatever. Was just her Birthday a little while ago too....

[That last part was a bitter sounding mumble.]

Caim. You need to think real hard about how to answer this question. Did you kill my friend? Because a tall, dark haired swordsman is the described culprit. You just get back into town and someone winds up dead... Can't blame a guy for wondering.

I don't. I mean.... it's hard not to think of 'what if's in a situation like this.

Blue, huh? Let me guess - You're a Pokemon trainer? I mean, I know Green, knew a Red, know a Gold. All trainers.

[He manages a small smile.]

I know. I can understand that, on a less significant scale... It's hard not to think about it but... try not to let it keep you down.

[She mustered up a small smile for him in return.]

That's right. I'm from the same town as Green and Red.

Believe me. I'm trying.

That's cool - I've been pretty tight with Green's Pokemon team and him for a while now. They're good people. Never really spent much time with Red but his Charizard, Sasha, is pretty cool and we've hung out.

[Here her smile softened to something a bit more relaxed.]

Then you can consider yourself a friend of mine as well. Hehe, I imagine they must have been somewhat of a handful sometimes.

Alright! Works for me. And yeah, they can be. Wouldn't have 'em any other way though.

[He's actually kind of gratefull for the switch in gears - It's nice to concentrate on making some new friends opposed to the alternative.]

Yeah they are. They're a huge amount of fun.

I'll keep an eye out for them and be sure to say Hi if I see 'em. One of my best friends was an arcanine who used to go here. He was really enthusiastic about everything.

They'd each be really happy about that, in their own ways. And you're in luck. Jock is also really enthusiastic about everything, haha. It comes with being a puppy. ... A really big puppy, ha.

....I wonder if they've ever tried that. Using arcanine hair for knitting or weaving or whatever. It's probably naturally flame retardant and everything.

Haha, they do, actually! My mom had a real nice pair of oven mitts made from recycled Arcanine fluff. I think it's pretty common for the bolder Pidgeys and the like to follow after them for nest fodder too.

Hmm. I should borrow some of his fuzz for my bird houses if he doesn't mind. I made a bunch of them - you can see them all around campus. Lots of birds stick around here for the winter, you know?
