[She speaks up again for him.] My name is Voile. Unfortunately, I'm not as charming as fire types. I'm a gardevoir.

[She blinks. Then she chortles.]

Let me preface this with, I'm not a battling Pokémon. I've a move set for contests only. I highly doubt I'm going to be any threat to you.

[It's a good thing she's such a nice person.]

I never did any contests. Don't you have to eat poffins until you throw up to do those things?

Pokéblocks. At least in Hoenn.
I've heard of poffins, however. I think that's from Sinnoh.

[She taps at her chin.] And it's not until you... get sick. I've never had to have too many. But I also like Pokéblocks.

Oh, okay. I remember poffins more - it's been awhile since I've been to Hoenn. They taste alright. I'm not much of a berry guy, though. Raw meat, lots of it. That's me.

Well. You did say arcanine.

[Voile smiles again. Beg pardon, she never stopped smiling.]

I would be a bit surprised if you didn't like meat.

What do gardevoirs eat anyway? I never really spent a lot of time with one before.

I like salads.

[It's very simple.] And fruits. And vegetables. Except celery. I don't like celery.

Ew. ::Jock sticks his tongue out in disgust::

That is exactly what I think of celery.

[The point. And Voile's head. Something's clearly not connecting.]

No that's what I think of all of that. Ugh, how do you stay alive?

[She frowns momentarily, but his question distracts her from having a long-winded conversation about having 'manners'.]

Uhm. Well.
It's not like I've never had meat. I just prefer vegetables and fruits. I have no problem surviving.

I'm pretty sure I would die without meat.

Maybe you just haven't had the right kind of veggies yet!

I'm a carnivore. Growlithes in the wild eat rattata and pidgey and sentret. It's, like, the only thing I ate as a pup. Arcanines eat bigger things than that.

Well, don't eat any of your friends.

[She pauses.]

Or mine. And we'll be golden.

I guess I'll be careful about eating pokemon around here. Are there any rattata or pidgey or sentret or bidoof students?

I think there are some bird pokémon, but I think they'll sooner beat you up before you can eat them. So maybe you should just ask everyone you meet before you eat them.

Yeah, I guess I can do that.

It's just a suggestion. You don't absolutely have to take it.
