A notice to students; over the next few days, if anyone from Final Destination City tries to talk to you about the incident or makes any sort of threat towards you or your friends, get in touch with a member of the faculty as soon as you can. It doesn't matter who; if nothing else you can reply to this message, or visit someone's office hours. Do not try to solve any problems by yourself. Remember that we're here to help you and keep your safe.

[There's no response until much later, at which point Ishimaru looks exhausted. But still upright and presentable, because he still has responsibilities and all that. He dutifully delivers the summary of events, but without any of his usual passion.]

We were confronted by a group of men in the city. They had those drugs that have been all over the news. Rick made the first move and things escalated from there.

No, but I can't say they're not a good idea. In light of recent events and press coverage I thought it would be prudent to let the students know not to leave themselves open to assholes problem characters that take it upon themselves to crusade up the hill to our school and take this species thing into their own hands.

Now I'm the one who's going to sound uninformed, but who's working on those patrols?

[Connor had heard. Everything. This is even more serious than he thought. No fooling around now. He hadn't seen the news report, what is television. But he would hear the locals talk, be scared. The tensions were so much higher than before...it was astronomical. Connor didn't know what to tackle first...The network. This was the first time he had even checked on since he heard the news. He was so busy being out and about trying to find anything. ANYTHING. But he saw this man; he turned the video on. He knew what he could do to start.]

[Gordon's eyebrows raise at the man's frankness. Not that it isn't appreciated; the small smirk that comes with it says that. He liked this guy already. No bullshit, no posturing, he just wants things to get done.]

You're the... new custodian, right? It's my theory that the news reports are going to make a target out of the school. A bunch of non-human kids that are relatively defenseless would look like easy pickings for a mob outraged at what they'd heard on the news and too damn drugged-up to care if they had anything to do with it. Ron Delite works security but he's just one man, and he looks like he could use some help.

Talk to the Hands, and they might give you some temporary security status. I plan to do the same. They may ask for some extra patrol hours, so be prepared for that. Hell, even if they DON'T give you the position, keep an eye out for anyone from the City that looks suspicious.

None other than what Ishimaru mentioned. Drug-pops ere involved. Rick... instigated things? I'm still trying to figure out how. I mean shit, he's a volleyball with a flashlight installed...

[He scratches his head and shakes the idea away.] Point is that this isn't much different from the other things we've seen happen. Except for that yellow press coverage... people get their rage up, and decide it's time to go to the seat of the problem, and unfortunately they think that's US now.

Do you think you could elaborate on what's going on a little more for me, if it's permissible? I haven't been in the city for very long now, and while I did see the news report the other day I can't say I understand everything that's going on very well, admittedly. It'd help me a lot if I knew what to look out for and avoid.

Several violent incidents have taken place over the past few months in Final Destination City. It's a result of tensions between non-humans and humans that, simply put, just don't like non-humans.

If you are human, then you may not have a problem, however I'd still be wary. At least two of these incidents are traced back people under the influence of drugged lollipops that have been found on campus. Stay away from them.

If you're not human and don't look it, I'd recommend staying out of the city for now. If you have to go in, go in a group. Stay out of alleys and empty spaces.

If you use any sort of special powers, keep them to yourself while you're out there.

There was a fight involving three of our students. Three humans were dead. From what I understand it was in self-defense, [Mostly. Dammit, Rick...] but the news story painted it as an unprovoked attack.
