001; Action / Video
[You can't really help making an entrance when you're a dragon. It's not like you can quietly sneak in any place. And certainly not when you hadn't expected to be in that place from the get go.
So if you guys heard something rumbling around outside earlier, that was just Angelus crash landing in a way she is never going to admit to ever having landed. Ever. She's old, you know, she knows how to land!
After those shenanigans though? She's helped much like anyone else to register at the school and whatnot. She's even given a dorm room - BW-09, second floor, girl's dorm. She has no trouble finding the building itself but... well.
You folks don't really mind a big ol' eye peeping through windows, right? Particularly poor Eli, once she figures out just which of these rooms is BW-09. What in the heck is she supposed to do with this? :|
For now she's simply settled on top of the building itself, huffing out steam in annoyance now and then. Until she announces in a crisp tone:]
I should have known strange portals were no good. What is the use in all of this?

Caim's been suspected of misbehaving lately.
[The woman mysteriously leaves it at that and makes her way down the roof, expecting the dragon to follow. Whether this is a good idea or not is yet to be seen.]

When she does land though, it's with an amazingly amused, rough laugh.]
So even here he cannot silence his blade, can he. Little surprise.

[Lo, it doesn't take long to cross the distance to the teacher dorms and to room 13. Samus is momentarily filled with a small sense of nostalgia before knocking on the door.
No answer.]
...Hn.
[Samus knocks again, louder. Still, no answer.]

[That said, she pauses in silence a moment. Then she rumbles, tone of voice gentler.]
I will speak with him however.
[Bending her head low as Samus knocks, she quite literally growls.]
He is not here. He does not answer. Where is that fool!
[She's getting impatient now. True, she doesn't have to know all of Caim's movements, she's never asked for that from him. She cares little about what he gets into most of the time.
But there's a part of her that only remembers the Grotesqueries and the sharp bite as they began to devour. And her guilt, her damned guilt at having left that fate without her partner.
Another rumble, lower and irritated sounding. She hated feeling this sort of thing.]
WOW typos I am so sorry.
Something isn't right here... Calling out his name would be a frivolous waste of her breath, knowing Caim wouldn't be able to verbally reply, if this were some kind of trap, or if he were even here at all. A quick search of his place proved the dragon was right...
His computer desk was tipped over. Was he robbed? Samus's eyes trail the rest of the scene, finding a computer speaker embedded in the wall. No, this wasn't the work of a robbery. This was the work of emotional turmoil. Anger.]
He isn't here. Something on the computer probably set him off...
[Another glance around the apartment shows numerous drawings, clearly made from Ai. Flowers. Pictures of Ai and Caim together. Come to think of it, where was Ai as of late?]
...
[A small worrying sense of urgency causes Samus to pocket her gun, and she sets forth to reassemble the machine and the desk. It would likely contain a clue to his whereabouts.]
XD I didn't even see them!
Then you are lucky the thing is still in something more than broken bits.
[Hm, pictures? She studies them quietly. From what she can tell, whomever it is must be younger. That surprises her very little and she says nothing on it, instead turning her glance to the woman busily setting up the machine.]
Ai shall be henceforth known as Aim.
Does Caim have any siblings? A daughter? Someone like that? [A nod to the drawings.]
Come on...
[Nothing like a little whack with the palm of her hand to get the computer to hum back to life again.]
Well, love does aim straight for the heart. /shot
A sister.
[The question Samus asks, though veiled, is obvious.]
He will not hurt the child, if that is what you fear.
I think you're to blame for giving love a bad name.
After a series of clicks and typing, Samus is able to render the last message the computer received, and played. For Angelus's viewing, she drags the desk and single working speaker as far as the wires will give her. What is displayed on screen is both unexpected and infuriating.]
Hey, I'm just playing my part while you play your game, bro.
The world is different and yet the same things occur. Truly humans are to be pitied.
[And this is what she disliked so much about humans. Caim was a killer, pure and simple. He tore people apart and delighted in it. His blood thirst knew few boundaries.
Yet using someone as the fellow in the video did... Caim bore little of such cowardice.]
If Caim has gone after her, you will not find that man alive. Or much of anyone else who would dare try to block his path.
[Not that she cared if he was or not. Her attention was less on saving anyone, even that child, than it was on finding Caim himself.]
Tell me of these others that Caim has put to his blade that the man there spoke of.

Distaste because she agreed with those sentiments, and distaste for the natural defiance that came with such a bold statement. Samus may not of been entirely human herself, but she of course considered herself one--human, in all all their flaws and weaknesses, strengths and triumphs.]
Majima. He's one of the security guards. He said he had a couple of cohorts around the city, and I don't doubt they had a part in orchestrating this.
[To her own merit, Samus gives Caim's poor computer a good, angry kick. How could she of been so foolish?]
Ai, was the hostage, and the girl in the drawings. She's a Pikmin; innocent and naive. ...I doubt they're still in the stadium.
[But having no other leads... that's where Samus is storming out the door for next.]
no subject
She remembered both bits of information though.]
It is a start.
[That said, she let Samus storm all she liked. And the dragon herself? A brief glance back to the room and she turned, taking wing again. She would fly overhead, following the woman's progress from the air.]
