[Video feed on! Greeting you is a lithe looking blonde boy, or rather the very close up view of the freckles on his cheek because he pulls away from the computer webcam. He adjusts said camera for a moment until he produces a small, satisfied smile. There we are.]

You know, that was quite the party last week. [There's something subtly sarcastic in that smile of his. Maybe it's just the pointy looking canines or the glimmer in his red eyes.] I'd almost forgotten how welcoming this place can be at the most inopportune times. [Like, you know, during Very Important Cat Nap times.]

Oh, that's right. With the beginning of this new school year I had nearly forgotten to introduce myself to all the wonderful new faces. My name is Seth Richardson. I'm a ne--[pause] well, I guess I'm not so new any longer, am I? I came in a bit late this last year, so I'm technically still a senior. And you know what every senior needs? A fraternity.

Frankly, I'm surprised this place doesn't have a dozen of them already, but they're a bit uncouth for my tastes. So! I'm starting up a Host Club. Anyone of any age with any sense of class is invited. Just a nice little weekly get-together down in, AE-13. There will be tea parties, entertainment, maybe some fund raising here and there, and intelligent adult discussions on real-world issues. I know that might be hard to come by in a place like this but if you can handle that, do leave a note here or drop by. Snacks and drinks are on the house~

That automatically excludes unruly and violent pyromaniacs, so Blaze won't be joining us. It's for the better, really.

Oh, well, they just taught me when I got 'ere really. Don't really know the details none, other than I can now and it's admittedly pretty neat an' all.

My roomie's some nice gal named Midna. She's pretty cool~

So you were "wild" before coming here, or do you have a trainer?

[Her face drops a little at the mention of a trainer, but keeps her smile in place, fidgeting with her bedsheet.]

I.. yeah, well, not anymore. I used to have a trainer... he passed away recently.

Oh?

[His brows instantly furrow into that of utmost concern. His voice softens to match. It's clear to see she's suddenly uncomfortable.]

What happened?

[She hesitated for a moment, looking to keep her composure. A small sigh escaped her lips as she rested her head on her pillow.]

He was sick... well, he had always been sick, since birth. This was as far as his life took him I suppose...

[It was clear she wanted to keep the details to a minimum, both to not burden others and to keep her thoughts calm.]</small.

[If she was displaying an open wound, it would be nearly impossible for him to not want to pick at it.]

Oh no... I'm so sorry to hear. Was he in a lot of pain?

[That... was an odd question to ask. It certainly made her frown a little as she averted her gaze from the still going video.]

I didn't really want'a ask... he always smiled tho... At least while I was 'round.

Oh my dear, you poor thing, what a trooper! [He puts a hand to his chest and looks positively moved by her tale.]

Being left alone to fend for yourself like that at such a young age. I'll never understand the bond between a Pokemon and its trainer, but I imagine it's something very special.

I'm sure he was thinking of you all the way until the end.

[She remained silent for a few moments. It took every ounce of will to keep her composure as the idea began sinking in again that he was gone for good, and that she in fact, was, alone... However, she had promised them both that she'd pull through and not let anything keep her down, so at least she kept her tears from running down her face, even as her eyes glossed over... at least until the video was off.]

I... y-yeah, I bet he was... A-anyways, I reckon yer a busy person an' ya gonna have plannin'ta do fer the party an' such... s-so, I...

[She rolls over and out of bed and shuts off her video feed.]

[Oh drat. The cute, shiny new plaything escaped from his grasp by turning off the video feed for the time being. No matter, there'll be plenty of time to get to know her later.]
