[Video] - Cupidbot Aftermath
I should like to say that I, personally, am quite relieved to have not fallen in love with a cow this year. Mind you, there is nothing wrong with a tender steak dinner. Simply that a line ought to be drawn between loving animals and... well.
[Soryk pauses.]
Loving animals.
[With a flick of his wrist, he continues.]
On a related subject, after a good deal of thought, I have decided it is far past the time in which I should like some information on the creatures we refer to as 'Pokémon.' Their properties, naturally, and other such traits.
[Someone's poisoning extravaganza didn't go quite the way he planned.] For instance, what allows a Pokémon to die and yet, miraculously return from the dead? Eating habits. Life cycles. And so on.
I always thought they were merely animals with a higher intelligence than that of a house pet, yet it seems there is something more to them. If you are a Pokémon, share with me some about yourself. If you have a Pokémon, tell me about your companion. I would very much appreciate it.

While I prefer not to use my hands directly for close combat, I would be greatly interested in merely watching. Since I am not necessarily a man of combative nature, it is more enjoyable to observe.
[And quietly, Soryk files away the information regarding toxins. One more failed attempt to see how poisons work on the people at the academy. It's been an equally enlightening experience, even in failure.]

[And by that he means burned, frozen, electrocuted or poisoned and then eaten. The Monsters of his own world would oftentimes not be nearly so gentle barring perhaps Catgirls. Maybe Sasquatch would be alright with Human kids.]
You use weapons, then?
no subject
[Although he doesn't sound completely heartbroken by just such a thing.
At Jon's question, Soryk nods.]
Aye. So I do. Daggers. One-handed swords. I prefer daggers, if I must fight with anything. I also have some skill with throwing knives, bows, and crossbows.

[He'd heard of a few kids getting shocked by Pikachu or getting soaked by a Squirtle. But he'd never heard of one being stung to death by a Beedril or dropped off a cliff by a Fearow.]
Swords and daggers I've used. I prefer the nunchuks, of all the shorter range weapons I've dealt with. Bows I'll have to admit I've very little knowledge of.

I suppose they understand that children are meant to be treated with a bit more care than their true opponents. [Like he even understands what goes through a Pokemon's head. Because he doesn't. Animals that fight one another. How very... animalistic of them.]
[He nods once more as Jon continues.]
I can admit I am not familiar with nunchuks. Not completely surprising, all things considered.

[He reached over to bring his own nunchuks into the view of the video feed.]
They're simple but versatile weapons. They take a lot of work to master and tend to result in a lot of training bruises, but I've found them well worth the effort.

[Selfish disgusting round eared things. But that's probably Soryk's history leaving a bitter impression on him. No run-ins he's ever had with them aside from those in the academy were ever remotely good. And that's likely due to the factions at an ever consistent war with one another.
No one likes the Alliance anyway.
His attention turns onto the nunchuks, finding them... intriguing at best. Certainly not his kind of weapon, but what ever has been?]
I suppose they would be, aye. I must admit that they do not have enough blade for me. I have a fondness for sharp things.
no subject
[It was a long time before he'd extend even the tiniest amount of trust or goodwill towards any Human. Felicia had taught him to appreciate them somewhat back when he was at Capcom High. But still.]
I prefer a weapon with a blunt edge. If I want sharp, I've plenty of teeth and claws.
no subject
Amusingly, this is the most he's spoken with people in some years.]
Right. I suppose an animal would have access to such things. [But he's not an animal and would never care to be. He likes keeping his hands clean.] That must be immensely practical. If not here, then certainly wherever it was you came from.

[Remind him, Jon, to one day tell you about when he used to work for people called the Grey Wolves.]

[He has not yet learned of the Worgen.]

[There. Be educated, Sir.]

[His interest is piqued, well and truly.]
