[First comes a video. It's Sonny Moe. You can see that he's been eating pies. There's a couple of pie tins sitting there with a few crumbs in them. Also, he may have a few stray crumbs in his stubble.]

I really love October! Can you believe that some places have sale priced pumpkin pies already!? I bought a whole bunch if anyone wants one! You might want to speak up quickly, though - I can't guarantee they will last very long!

So, anyway, Halloween is this month too. I know it's kind of early to be thinking about it, but does anyone already know what they're going to dress up as? I'm not sure, yet. Maybe a Ninja Squirtle guy.

1) Now that his hand is mostly healed, Sonny can be found sitting around outside near whatever piles of leaves are the biggest, practicing his Ukulele skills. Feel free to interrupt him, listen in, or jam with him if you have an instrument handy!

2) Autumn is the start of Baking Season. Sonny can be found in the student kitchens most days making things with cinnamon and nutmeg and pumpkin spice and chocolate and ham. Want a bite?

3) Other than that he's being a good guy and going to all his classes and taking orders from his awesome boss Bowser and doing all those other Sonny Moe things. So, wandering the halls, wandering between classes, wandering around the grounds, in the cafeteria, in the weight room, in the everyplace.]

Hehe! Silly! Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtles! It's a cartoon I like to watch! They're four Squirtle brothers that were mutated into superheroes along with their Master Spliner, the Raticate! They eat pizza all the time!

[It's hard to tell whether he admires their heroics more? Or their diet.]

If you figure it out early, that gives you a better chance to find or make the costume you want.

[Sonic has no instrument on him, but in his daily zipping from branch to roof to branch he hears this interesting music from below.]

[There's a rustle of leaves above Sonny Moe and a shower of leaves, as a little blue critter in red shoes lands on a branch above him from somewhere else on high. In turn, a similarly-blue face peers down among the leaves.]

Hey, big guy! What's that you got there?

[Sonny looked up, but seemed unsurprised to have someone talking to him from up in a tree. Hey, he was a Pokémon, after all! He'd had his share of conversations with bough bound Pidgey.

This guy wasn't a Pidgey, though! He looked like a blue Sandslash of some kind. A Shiny!?]

Hi! This? This is a Ukulele.

[He gave it a little strum.]

I'm still learning to play - I hope I wasn't bothering you with my practice?

Nope, in fact I liked it! I just heard it out there in the courtyard, and came to investigate.

[He hops out of the tree and riiiiiight into that nice convenient pile of leaves, popping out the top with a big silly grin and plucking leaves out of his quills.]

I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. [He shakes a leaf out of his glove and extends a hand up to shake.] What's your name?

[Sonny took the hand and gave it a gentle shake.]

My name is Sonny Moe Snorlax! I'm happy to hear that you liked my playing! Thank you!

[He tried really hard, after all.]

I can play you another one, if you want?

Those protein pumpkin pies you're eatin'?

Nope! They're just regular!

[He can see how disapproving you are, Max. He can see it. Heck, he can almost feel it in his bones.]

But I'm washing them down with a gallon of milk with protein powder in it!

Do you want a pie, Max?

I ain't bulkin' yet. I'll start that in November. No pie for me til then.

You sure you can't find a way to make 'em protein pumpkin pies?

[ Vivian tried to do a little reading on Halloween after she caught Sonny's post. She didn't quite understand the reasons, but the concept of 'fun' was really all she ended up needing. She wanted to talk to him about it, but when she finally found him, he was making weird noises.

Oh, what is that?!

She runs up closer, on her knees and peeking around the pile to watch him. A couple of leaves are stuck in her short hair, but she's pretty into what he's doing. Music is something she loves in a way she isn't aware. ]

[Sonny waved enthusiastically for her to come over - he was always happy to hang out with her.]

This is my Ukulele! It's a musical instrument that I've been learning to play. Would you like to hear a song?

[ Were she actually a robot again, her eyes would kick on the headlights. She quickly rushes to his side, slapping her hands together and nodding. ]

Please...! [ Oh maybe she could even sing along! ] It sounds different, Sonny...! Ukelele... [ Committed to memory. ]

It does sound different! I think the thing about Ukuleles that I like most is that they only really seem to be able to make happy noises. I don't know if you could ever play a sad song on a Ukulele!

[He thought about it for a moment, trying to decide what song to play. Then...]

I know what I could play! I'm still just learning this one, so, I might mess it up a little! Sorry in advance, if I do!

[There's someone lurking by the vending machines. She'd wedged one scrawny arm in through the flap at the bottom, in vain effort to extract some gum, or whatever she could reach. At the sound of Sonny's approach, however, she squeaked, squirmed loose, and did her best to hide between the machine and the potted plant next to it.]

[Sonny was on his cellphone at the time, chatting to one of his many and varied co-workers.]

You're such a good guy, Goombarry! Tell you what, OK? I'll help you with your shuffling back and forth regimen if you give me the recipe for that Koopa Tea you make? Yeah, you know the one. I think my Brother would really like it. Weird question, but I have to ask - It's not made out of...? No, OK. Not actually made out of Koopas. Just Turtley Leaves. Right, good. Oh, yeah, my Brother is a Vegan, so... Haha! Nope! No turtle soup for him!

[He placed a dollar bill in a vending machine, still not paying much mind to anything around him.]

Anyway, it's time for my afternoon snack. I'm having Doritos! I'll see you tomorrow morning, OK? Bring that recipe and be ready to shuffle back and forward!

[The machine clunked and banged and dropped the bag of Doritos - Nacho Cheese! Mmmmm. He bent down to pick it up out of the flap at the bottom and his eyes settled on something pink.]

Huh... ohhhh... OH NO!

[Phone and chips were both flung to his sides as he scrambled backwards and thudded into the wall. A worried voice could be heard coming faintly through the speaker of the phone as it skidded across the hallway floor.]

I WASN'T GOING TO TRY AND GIVE YOU CHIPS! I PROMISE!

[zombnambulist]

[Her shriek goes up in time with his yell, and she presses herself back further against the corner of the vending machine while he scrambled away.]

I don't, I don't want, I don't, I'm sorry I'm sorry I don't want them I'm sorry I didn't mean to I'm sorry!

[Her hands buried into her hair and her face had buried in her knees as she repeated her terrified pleas for mercy. She'd gotten caught, this was what she got for going out, she should have known, it was what she got.]

Take them, take them all, I don't want them I'm sorry you can have them!
