[video; filtered away from Falcon] I'M LOOKING FOR SOME BALLS...
[Normally Samus would be inclined to secrecy and mystery through either text or audio-only messages to the school's network; bounty hunter habits were hard to break and usually for good reason. However, this time she deemed it important to showcase her normalcy for what she was about to request, dry and unamused in delivery as usual;]
If I could get a headcount of who has and hasn't been afflicted with the latest outbreak of whatever strange and wonderful circumstance has befallen the school this week, I would be appreciative. I know it's probably been rough for a lot of you so far... but things like this in the past have never been permanent.
[I dearly hope that remains the case.]
Also...
[Samus squirms a little in her chair, uncomfortable. Been rough was putting it lightly... She has purposefully angled the camera so she andher cleavage the floor occupies the majority of the screen, though some of the background is viewable. Most of it is unassuming brick wall with scattered pieces of highly advanced, almost-alien looking technology along the periphery of the video. A sharp eye could determine she was not currently anywhere at the school.
...And that there was, very unknown to her, a golden feather lodged in her hair, easy to miss among her blonde strands.]
I'm-- [ASKING FOR HELP IS SO HARD] I need information on Pokecare. Of a Blaziken, specifically. And how Pokeballs work in the event of an emergency.

It better not be permanent. This nonsense has to end.

Previous... transformation epidemics have typically run in a week, though they were instantaneous and never as slow as this.
[How do express concern to strangers...] How are you handling it?
no subject
A week full of this nonsense? How pleasant. I am starting to wonder what by the gods is with this place.
[ here, have a frown. ] Horribly. I feel like I've been struck in the head by a knight's shield.

[What a surprise, it's Gold.]
What do you need to know! I don't have a Blaziken, but I know a ton about fire types! Do you need to borrow a Pokeball, Samus? Er, Ms. Aran. Sorry.
I'm familiar with their physiology and... morning habits [There's a little eyeroll with that. Everyone else on campus has probably heard him too.] but what kind of diet should they have to stay healthy? [She doesn't expect dead animals/people food/traditional animal food will suffice for very long.]
And... there's different types of balls, I've noticed. What are the differences?

I'm not sure how many aren't afflicted, Miss Aran. I feel like things are a little too chaotic to even trying to approximate. When stuff like this happens, lots of people just lose their composure and start to panic. [She's a little surprised she hasn't done that herself.]
As for information on Pokécare, I'm sure any of the trainers here could help you out.
It's unfortunate, especially given how many episodes and events of this sort have occurred here on a regular basis.
[translation: I'm old and jaded.]
Maybe you could tell me what it feels like being inside a Pokeball, if you've ever been in one before yourself? It doesn't appear to be a painful transition.
[You know, condensing from physical matter INTO A BEAM OF RED LIGHT...]

SHE REALLY IS.
YOU'RE A GREAT HUNTER.
BUT SHE COULD DO A LOT BIGGER/BETTER.
Also these woodland creatures really smell after a few hours in the sun. A lot. Like a lot a lot. And it's really gross stepping in them right after she wakes up to let Megaweapon out. So when she's not trying to not let them go to waste by chopping them into doggy treats she's outside scrubbing the porch. Trying to get the stink of death out.

In contrast to Samus' careful angling of the camera to focus on her instead of her surroundings, Kiyo-tan here has done the opposite - enjoy the scenic view of a neat and organized dorm with minor... claw damage on one wall? Oh.
Anyway, a pretty damn loud voice pipes up:]
My roommate and I have also been affected by this! How often does this happen?! Has a cause been determined?
no subject
A lot of suspicions are being cast at the bake sale from a few days ago, though I can account for at least one instance where it's either a coincidence, or there was a similair airborn contagion in the vicinity.
[Which makes it difficult to point at finger/the angry end of her gun at something without any doubt.]
How are you and your roommate handling it?

[Wow she obviously doesn't understand how painful this is for some people or she wouldn't be so disappointed.]
But I know about Pokeballs! They work really easy! You just press the button and throw it, right?
no subject
More or less, though there seems to be varying degrees of success in capture depending on the quality of the ball... and I guess depending also on the target Pokemon.

But I may have a suggestion, maybe it's possible to pint-point the culprit by getting a hold security footage before the transformations started to happen?
We've never seemed to have much luck with security cameras in the past.
[She herself has done the dance of evading cameras before and it's not an impossible task.]

What, regarding pokéballs, is necessary for you to know?
[She drags a hand through her hair, voice calm despite that gesture of apprehension.]
I've never trained a Pokemon before, and I'm suddenly in the care of one. He's running wild for now, but if he becomes too unruly I'd like to restrain him.
Safely.

You're not experiencing any unusual physical transformations?
