oo6; a dire announcement.

[ Just a small text this time, but everyone in the academy better listen up. It's serious. Absolutely serious. ]

A former staff member of the academy, Miss GLaDOS, was found dead in Ferrothorn Park on Saturday, March 9th, at 1:13 AM. Signs of decay are imminent, suggesting that she has been there for some time. Her body has since been removed from the property and has been sent for autopsy.

There will be no further details given.

[ That's it. He's not about to drag any personal feelings into this, no matter how much it makes his gut wretch. ]
voltecpower: Pulse thinks this is srs bsnss. (serious)

[Upon discovering this announcement in his daily review of the school's online BBS, from his usual vantage point inside the school network's servers, it took him a rather long time before he was capable of posting a reply; most of this time was spent huddled inside his dorm, muttering to himself in an attempt to process what had happened, and talking it over with his girlfriend, who was still his go-to person for anything and everything which troubled him.

Only after he had decided once and for all that it wasn't his fault, that there was absolutely nothing he could have done to prevent it, and that he should focus his energy toward bringing the ones responsible to justice instead of wasting it worrying about all the things he might have been able to do if only he had been more suspicious about the lab monitor's disappearance... did he finally approach the word processing panel in his dorm to type out a reply to send to the BBS.]

Was this incident related to the violence going on in the city, sir?
voltecpower: Pulse is focused on something. (concerned)

Do you mean that the drugs are causing the violence? Are there drugged lollipops that can cause people to become violent and attack others, and make them want to kill?

Also, I've never had to repair a robot before, but if there was a way you could connect a computer to her so that there was a screen I could jump through, I could try to find a way inside her memory banks, if they aren't too damaged. All robots have some kind of computer or data storage inside of them, at least as far as I know.

On the other hand, if you needed a source of electric power to restore her battery, or whatever she has, I could provide that, too. I wouldn't need to go inside of her to do that.
voltecpower: Pulse is in his usual high-strung state. (nervous)

[That... was disturbing, to say the least. Pulse had experience in dealing with cybercrime, hacking, robotic assault, and general theft, but never once has he had to combat a menace possibly driven by drug use. He had once saved an entire population from being controlled by electromagnetic waves, but solving this problem wasn't going to be as easy as breaking into a besieged television station and knocking out a few thugs...]

Yes, sir. I'll be waiting for the signal.
