[Action/Video]
SUPER BACKDATED HOSPITAL ACTION:
Back in ye olden days of late September, Vianca got completely wrecked. The pikmin was carted off to the hospital to have her checklist of injuries taken care of. Concussion, bone fractures, internal bleeding, some unexpected respiratory problems, an alarming amount of black and blue. THE WORKS. WHAT A GOOD TIME.
If you would like to backdate a hospital visit you are more than welcome to do so. She was there for an indeterminate amount of time before hobbling back to the Academy to try and fix the library.
---
[MEANWHILE IN THE MORE OR LESS PRESENT she was actually making a video post, which happened practically never. It was, however, still too cumbersome to type very well, and she had a number of things to bring up. None of which were her extended absence, which she didn't expect anyone to actually notice.]
Hello... I'd like to apologize for the disarray in the library. We are working to put it back in order as quickly as we can.
[Because it got wrecked. Wheatley has been doing the best he can, but he was Wheatley. Things were going about as well as anyone could expect.]
In order to speed this process, I would like to ask if there is anyone currently present that is skilled with robotics? My assistant's robotic chassis was... unfortunately incapacitated. It would be greatly appreciated if we could ask for your assistance in repairing it.
[She looks about as uncomfortable as someone who only linefaces could. The little girl looked down at her desk for a few moments and then she picked up a piece of paper with a crude drawing of a flower on it, holding it up to fill the whole frame.]
... I am also... searching for this flower, if anyone has seen one. There used to be a small patch of them in the forest, but that part of the forest no longer exists. I do not know where else to look... They are somewhat large, and come in different colors. I would be very grateful if anyone could point me to where they have seen one. It is... very important.
Thank you.

[Optimism doesn't cost anything, right?]
If you wanted, maybe we could search together? I can fly, so I can cover a lot of ground.
no subject
... I could do that. I should put effort into the search as well.
[Sure she felt guilty that she'd be putting a hold on getting the library back in order, but she could hardly expect people to go out of their way for her if she was not willing to help look herself. Of course, the idea of going on her own was less than ideal, which was mostly why she hadn't...
Besides, if there were actually any underground, there was a good chance that she'd be able to find them.]

[Though it's likely Vianca'd already have checked the most obvious places, Alorah's still chomping at the bit to be as helpful as she can. Wouldn't it be nice if all it took was a trip to a flower shop in town?]

[
And it was too bad that respawn logic was not in effect because this entry would be super boring otherwise I meanVianca held her tongue about what she thought of the chances of them being in town were. There was no reason to shut the idea down when Alorah had meant it helpfully.]Whenever it is not a bother for you would be alright for me.
no subject
Solution: use pokegen to hack Vianca into another colour video game logic triumphs againAlorah thought for a moment -- Vianca probably had full hands with the library situation, but too late or too early would make it too dark to search well.]Why don't we try looking around after breakfast-time? There should be enough daylight to get some good searching in before classes.
no subject
It was so simple. She nodded.]That would be fine. ... Thank you.
no subject
...Ah, and please don't be confused if I'm a lot smaller and bluer. It'll be easier to search if I'm not human the whole time.
no subject
Alright. I shall meet you then.
[And there, dear reader, is when it was a convenient time for the Song of Double Time. We fast forwarded to the Dawn (and a few hours) of the Next Day. No longer were we on a video post of the network, but outside on a crisp autumn morning while the steam of the earth dissipated under the morning sun.
Oh and there was Vianca. Cool.]
no subject
And there was Vianca. Thus: one Jumpluff wafting her way over, bouncing happily in the air as she waved her tufts in eager greeting. She was ready to flower hunt. So ready.]
no subject
Good morning. Thank you for coming.
no subject
It's no trouble at all! Just lead the way, and I'm sure we'll find the flower you're looking for in no time.
no subject
[Leading the way, huh. Vianca turned to look in the direction the woods were in with a vaguely robotic fashion. She was just going to. Lead. The way.
There she went. She was walking. At a rather brisk pace, too, but that was just her standard speed.]
no subject
So, um, I'm not sure if I asked, but what are we finding this flower for? Are we picking it?
[Please let's not pick the flowers. ...Though it might have been kind of close to the end of its lifespan at this time of year, for all she knew.]
no subject
[Though Vianca didn't imagine that the result would please Alorah much anyway.]
I need to use it to change my form.
no subject
Oh. Change it to what?
[A pretty spectacularly silly question to ask, but it was the first thing that came to mind -- she was already picturing a Sky-Shaymin, but it wasn't like everyone out there worked like that, right?]
no subject
[How incredibly helpful.]
Pikmin come in different colors and types. What I will become depends on the color flower we find.
[If they found one, anyway.]
no subject
[Who knew if this was temporary or not, after all. These kinds of things sounded really important! In fact...]
Ooh, I'm getting a little excited. This is like getting to witness an evolution!
no subject
I believe it is similar in concept.
[She inclined her head in Alorah's direction, studying the other girl.]
Jumpluffs are their final stage, correct?
no subject
[Nothing she especially minded, of course; Pokemon (and maybe Pikmin) all grew at their own paces, and being a tenacious little dandelion was a pretty lovely thing.]
Either way, I'm happy I get to be part of such a big change. I'll definitely do my best to find one of those flowers for you.
no subject
Thank you... I am not sure that it will be very exciting. We do not always change very drastically.
[They were upon the trees now. Vianca did not think any candypops would be particularly close to the edge of the woods, otherwise she might have known of some sooner. Even still, she started to keep a closer watch of where they were going and what hadn't gone to sleep for the winter just yet.]
no subject
That was the time for listening -- this time of year, the thrum of life was already ebbing down to a muffled, deeply-buried pulse. If this flower they wanted was still anywhere to be found, it probably wouldn't be very loud. Everything was either dead, dying, or winding down for the season-long sleep.]
Hm... a white flower with yellow tips, right?

[The current of life around her ought to be easier for a grass-type to tap into with her feet on the ground, maybe, but for a Jumpluff, things came far more naturally in the air.]
no subject
[It wasn't like she was going to be engaging Alorah in very much conversation, honestly, simply because conversation wasn't really one of Vianca's things.]
