Dance ♌ 01 / [Video]
[There's nothing quite like being pushed along and having your shrieks be ignored.
'This will be your room,' they said.
'Classes aren't in session right now, but they will be in a few months,' they said.
'Take the time to enjoy the summer and get to know everyone first, they said.
But no one's explained what exactly is going on, where Lord Chrom is, or the other Shepherds. In fact, no one's really explained much of anything that truly makes sense.
She stares at her computer and the video feed, mostly clueless. She doesn't really know how to use anything she's looking at. Finally seating herself, she's still for many moments before her head suddenly turns and there's the audible sound of her chair rapidly scooting across the floor. A mess of limbs flies up and she introduces herself by way of a screech.]
EEK!
Stay back! I'll—I—I have a sword and I know how to use it!
[It could be a bug. A pikmin. It could be nothing at all. The world may never know.]

[If she uses a sword, then it's probably not as easy as taking a train or looking for directions on Moogle Maps. Tricky.]
You could always try to explore or ask around, though... but in the meantime, if you need a place to stay, you're absolutely welcome here! It's very safe at the school, and the food's really nice.
[She gives a very slow nod.]
Since I can't find a way back yet, it looks like my only choice is to stay here for the time being. Can... you tell me what the people are like?
...But I should mention! I don't know what's normal where you're from, of course, but... not all of us are entirely human, even if we look that way, so please don't be scared if you see any of us turn into turtles or dogs or anything.
I am... surprisingly not surprised by such. People like that exist where I come from as well. That seems to be the only thing the places really have in common.
Well, it's definitely a start! My name is Alorah, and I'm a Jumpluff -- one of those monster-people, I suppose. If you'd like, I'd love to help you feel a bit more at home here.
Is that really what they call you? What a horrible name for someone. Monster-people...
[Olivia shakes her head.]
You said Jumpluff. I'll try to remember, but if I don't, I'm sorry. [Meaning there's a good chance she'll need to hear it once more, or twice, to commit to memory.]
[Considering the word Pokemon has its roots in the word "monster" anyway, it's not like she can really get too riled up about referring to herself like that. Plus, it's like Olivia herself said -- there are a lot of Poemon names to remember, and she only has just arrived.]
Don't worry too much if you can't remember it; I won't mind. You've got a lot to get used to before you're all settled in, from the sound of it.
It's hard to look at a girl as daring as Alorah and call her a 'monster.' Olivia doesn't think she can manage that. She just has to remember what a Jumpluff is. She makes a note to write it down later.]
I... Yes. I guess you're right. It seems like so much all at once. I'll fall and I... don't want anyone to see that. [Ever.]
Um, but in the meantime, maybe I can help you feel more at ease here. What sort of things do you like doing? Maybe there's something you'd like to eat? I'd love to make your first impression here a good one, if I can.
[So kind that Olivia's almost not sure how to take it. But Alorah has given her no reason to distrust her yet, so maybe it's okay to let her guard down a little.]
I'm not too picky about food, but I like pies. I can bake a little. Sort of. Probably not very well. So I guess I like some kind of sweet things. Like pies.
That's great! I love to bake! There are student kitchens right here in the dorm building. If you'd like to get familiar with them, then I think it'd make a nice welcoming gift.
I guess I could, but again, I'm not sure I'm too good at that. But it'd probably be a good idea to do something instead of nothing.
[Or flailing around with a sword.]
[Although to be fair, Olivia may be the one teaching Alorah instead.]
[How hard could it possibly be?]
Sh-should I meet you there?
['Little' referring to about the five or ten minutes that Olivia takes trying to put herself together and make sure there is nothing, in fact, bug-like in her room waiting to take over her when she returns.
And naturally, the concept that she takes a couple of wrong turns in getting to the student kitchens, which appear to be in an entirely different segment of the living quarters.
No, really. Why are there three plus floors of nonsense.]
