Mac hadn't heard any WVBA news for a while. Which is weird, it's been a few months. Not even rematch rounds? What was going on?

Then on this evening was when Mac got a phone call.

Doc called about. Interviews. Mac was actually told to go on the morning news in New York. In front of some million odd people. Talking on the news. Nnnnnooo, Mac didn't want to do that. Nope. No. So many people watching him TALK and not...BOX like a BOXER.

"It's just an interview, Mac baby. Your matches are on TV anyway. Just think of it like that. Except you ain't boxing. It's not a big deal. They just wanna talk to you. About basic things like your career."

...And when Doc said that...well. Uh.

Hn.

Hey does anyone know a way to get real good at public speakin'? Or makin' speeches? Real fast?

Like, seriously. I think I need 'em stat.

Bigger, huh? Well, the size doesn't matter, anyway! It's all just talking, right?

Which part do you need help with? Thinking up what to say?

Oooh, you're shy? I'm totally the opposite. I got a few interviews after I became Champ and did that whole Team Rocket thing, and I thought it was just about the coolest thing in the universe. I guess if that's something that scares you though, uhhh... just try to focus on talking about stuff you love! Nobody's awkward when they're telling people about their passions!

[ANYTHING FOR YOU, MAC.]

Well, there you go! Once you get started talking about boxing, I bet you'll relax in no time flat.

...Hey, did they give you a list of questions ahead of time or anything? Some people do that, so you can practice ahead of time and make sure they don't ask anything you don't know, or whatever.

A couple days? No wonder you're nervous! Don't worry about a thing, Mac, I'll help you prepare the best I can!

Ooh! If you want, we can do a practice interview! My Pokegear's got a camera function, so I could have Rui film us and everything! It'll let you rehearse, and when you do the real thing, you can just think of us and maybe that'll help the jitters!

Just you wait, Mac. You're gonna be so ready for that interview that you could do it in your sleep!

...Just gimme a second to dress up like a sports interview guy. Gotta be as authentic as possible, right?

Well, how hard can it be to be a sports interview guy? All you need's a suit, a moustache, and a bad haircut, right? The last one might be a bit tricky, but I've still got the suit from when I was dressed like Giovanni.

A mastery of disguise is an important thing to have, Mac! You never know when you're gonna need to infiltrate something. ...Plus, I really like dress-up.

Haha, how gross would that look? Not sure how I'd fit my pigtails under it, but maybe I can just be bald except for pigtails.

Hey, it might come in handy! Maybe I'll sneak in while you're being interviewed, using my cunning flawless disguise.

Wow. If I could add a combover to the mix, I would literally have the worst hair in the world.

Keep an eye out! If anyone tries to trip you up during your interview, BAM! I'm on it. I'm like a tigress.
