Hey guys. Two things.

First thing! Whoever put up all those Anti-Eggman fliers in town? You are awesome. I'm not even kidding - Whoever you are? I'ma buy you lunch. You are a friend to every sane person in this city and I salute you.

Second Thing! I'm lookin' to take some folks to my Island next weekend for a couple days. Most years I invite some friends over there and we have a little get together and folks run around and go nuts in all the different places my Island has to go nuts in. I'm gonna make the invite a little more open this year - If a weekend on an Island sounds like somethin' you wanna do and you can promise not to leave the place in a mess or be a jerk? Drop me a line and let me know.

O-Ohmigosh-- A tropical island? You own an island? I thought people were lucky to be able to go to the beach at all, but to own an island...!

Yup - It's been in the family for generations. Funny thing is, it used to fly through the sky, and the beaches didn't have any water at all. But I parked it in the ocean a ways off shore, so now it really is like a tropical island.

You can come along and check it out, if you want. Don't think I'vce seen you around before, though? You new?

It's a long story, and there's some limited control over it.

Really? I mean, it's gonna be on a weekend AND it's still technically summer, so, no classes or whatever. How much work can you even HAVE at a time like that?

I should think about it. I think it would be really nice! It's been a long time since I've had a vacation, now that I think about it.

Alright! Sure thing - Ittle be good to show someone new around the place. I'm sure you'll enjoy it just fine. And I'm sure you'll be able to get done whatever it is you need to do, too - Like I said, it's a weekend, and it's summer time. I'm sure there can't be anything TOO major goin' on in the admin block.

Hopefully not...! But you might already know that things can spring up at any time here. The academy is really spontaneous, huh? That could be a problem waiting to happen...

I think I'll be alright, though! I'm very excited! Would it be too bold to ask if I could bring some seashells home? [ They're some of her favorite little things. So pretty and cute. <3 ]

Tell you what - so long as you're not in one of the caves or some of the deeper ruins, you can still get cellphone reception. If you need to, you can always call the staff here to check and see if anything major's goin' on, and being as we're gonna be travellin' there by warp ring? I can set it up to send you back if anything really crazy goes down and you really need to get back. Sound good?

And sure! I'm more'n happy for folks to take souvenirs - so long as they aren't botherin' the wildlife it's all good.

[She has no interest in being so public about what she was doing when she developed the plan to use fliers as a means of resistance. For if there was some desire in glory, she would have done it in the very broad daylight. Consequently, she has no plans of exposing herself via video feed or audio, or even by text. Nothing about this is secure and she understands - with Gordon's concern (and likely others) in mind, that she cannot put herself so directly into harm's way.

So once she figures out precisely who Knuckles is and his shared living arrangements with one Goombella, she makes the effort to leave him a hand-written note beneath his door, consisting of refined stationery and legible calligraphy.]

It warms my heart that I was able to stir yours. My only intent had been to make the eyes of this town more in understanding of what must be done to obtain the freedom they once had and have now lost.

While I concern that meeting so directly would be less than wise at this time, I should like one day to be able to join you as you've so graciously offered to me. But until that should arise, I can only ask that you would be careful. Undoubtedly and inevitably Professor Eggman's disapproval has already caused him to strengthen his patrols and perhaps his grasp over us.

You should - You'll love it there. There's plenty of fruit to eat and plenty of places to nap in the sun. Plenty of places to go adventurin' too if you and Kazx want some... uh... Y'know. Alone time in a cave or jungle.

[ Oh, Furiae certainly remembered the talks of Knuckles's island. That it had once been floating, but was now... not. Though the invitation is right there, and the woman believes that her presence for the Echidna isn't unfavourable, she does have to think about it for a while before answering him for a few reasons.

And a possible wrench in this thought going comes up in this thinking. Ah. In that case, a simple confirmation becomes a more personal e-mail. ]

Dear Knuckles, I saw of your open invitation to your island on the academy internet. I remember you speaking of it to me, and would like to see it if I am able to. If my visit is possible, would my brother's presence be unfavourable to you? Yours sincerely Furiae

[ Truthfully, what the Echidna thought of her brother these days were not entirely known to Furiae. Their meeting had been because of him, to help to shift eyes away from him over a murder that she knew was personal to Knuckles. Did the Echidna believe that Caim was behind it still? If he did, he had never been vocal about it in front of her.

She was fine with Knuckles. Fine enough that there was some concern when she sent the message off to him of a disappointing reply. Or maybe it was more of a concern for her brother. Despite how he had gone behind her back in an attempt to find somebody to wed her, how too far it all felt...

... He was still her brother. And his presence with her meant more than an island or her acquaintance with anybody. ]

[Huh. So. That was a... thing. He did like Furiae. She was a really sweet young lady and they had had nothing but pleasant interactions... Her Brother, however, was a different matter.

Despite his willingness to help during Knuckles' investigation of Kitty's murder, Knuckles couldn't quite shake his distaste for the guy. He'd killed a lot of people, for no other reason than he could. Sure, it hadn't happened recently but.... weren't people usually locked up for life for committing just ONE murder? And this guy was roaming around free at the school? Let alone his home on the Island...

Well. What it all came down to was, did he want to be a jerk to Furiae? And the answer was No. She loved her Brother and he couldn't blame her for that.]

Hey Furiae. Good to hear from you.

Sure, you can definitely come along. And so can your Brother, if he wants to. Same rules apply to him as to everyone else - just don't hassle the wildlife on the Island and he's as welcome there as anyone else. So, no hunting or anything like that.
