What were those blasted floating hands thinking when they decided they would write me up for a teacher? I don't teach, it's not what I live for. There is little use for this place, and I must get back to where I came from. And from the looks of things in this place, there is no sign of that girl lingering around. I would rather spend time training on my own magic if I have the time to teach.

I suppose I shouldn't decline free occupancy, though. As much as I'd prefer to live in a cave—I'll tell you, I found the perfect one just before coming from that strange world called Primp—having free space is an attractive deal.

To those who enrolled in "Introduction to Magic" class, there are two textbooks you will all have to read before class. The final test will cover all basic concepts I will teach. Written or in actual practice, will be determined by your performances. Do whatever you want, but don't come crying to me when you fail the class.

[There is the names of the textbook written here. If one were to look at the book, it's a pretty thick book covering all sorts of magic. The other one consists of basic rules about some puzzle-solving.]

[She's read this a few times over. It's clear that Schezo's not necessarily thrilled about being in the academy, which she can respect, however, it's his subject matter and class that's really caught her attention.]

Are you capable of instructing all individuals in magic? I was under the impression only select scholars could benefit from such training.

[Because she doesn't have a single magical affinity in her, but she wouldn't mind learning about it.]

If one is enthusiastic about learning magic, then I suppose I will do my best to assist. But I would think if they are that willing, they would step into the library and read about it themselves.

Even if the user does not excel in magic itself, there are numerous ways to benefit from it. I personally know of one who do not have any magical powers, and yet she can defeat any wizard with just her fists.

This girl you speak of, however, if she is using hand-to-hand combat, doesn't that imply it's not magical based? Unless you mean the seeming observation that many mages and sorcerers do not take well to a front assault by melee.

[At least per Eirika's observation and she doesn't have too many of those where war is concerned. She's never imagined Artur or Lute taking a punch well, though.]

I find magic useful in itself, but I have no training in it and have not been groomed for any such thing. I think where I come from, only certain individuals are permitted to read those tomes and take their knowledge.

Some mages may be. I would specifically treat that lady as something special, though. [Special, and in a way, kind of ~~love-~~stupid.] Some mages take on a similar fighting style as her as well as incorporating some magic to assist their powers. I believe there is no consequence in learning how magic works.

My world works similarly, with reading tomes and studying magic... Although, I have learned much of my magic through practice. [And gaining his title by killing someone. But he's not going to say that.]

Your class, specifically then... Is it on magical theory and history, or on how to actually use it?

[This is what she really wants to know. She hopes it's the former, because she wouldn't be against learning about where it came from. Or the differences that surely exist between Schezo's magic and that of Magvel's.]

Since it is just an introductory class, I don't suppose having both aspects would do any harm. I myself am also curious to learn about different theories and histories, so I may end up using whatever I learn from this school's library for class material.

[That's a rather good idea. Eirika's gone once when she first arrived to see if she could find some history on the academy itself. It'd not crossed her mind to look for additional information.]

I imagine you'll find no shortage of knowledge there. I did go once and there is an overabundance of spines and pages. There's likely to be a great amount of information on other worldly magic.

Yes. Not only it is useful for any information, the atmosphere and lighting libraries have is relaxing for me.

[Meaning murky, kind of dark, and quiet. The former trait aside, Schezo wouldn't say no to a place like that.]

I doubt there could be such a peaceful environment that compares to that of the library. If you need help locating it, I would not mind showing you the way.

Of course I do, but I have reasons for remaining. I control time and space. I can leave at will without fail. I just cannot.

As for you, I may be able to send you home, but it would take massive amounts of energy. You would also have to be able to handle Chaos. Many humans likely cannot survive that.

[ Basically, hey, Shadow can try to send Schezo home, but all his homeland might get is a nice, crisp Chaos corpse. Yay, meat? ]

I've been through dimensional travel[Albeit accidental] before, don't take me lightly.

I'm a dark wizard, seeking darkness and silence. Chaos is the complete opposite of what my element is. I'm not willing to jump in as experiment, but I'm curious to see how your powers work.

Going through it is different between magicks, to be sure. Chaos is a very turbulent energy, and being the opposing element of your own, it is very risky.

Nevertheless, if you can travel dimensions on your own, why should I care to show you my power now? Surely you can leave with what you have... unless my suspicions are correct.

Alright, I was dragged into a summoning spell of some sort, and was dropped from the sky like some meteor into another world the last time. I admit, I can't create dimensional warps on my own without a powerful magical item, but with the proper item, rituals, and spells, anything can be done. [Like get your own doppleganger to try and kill you and take over the world...]

As for your other point, you will end up having to show your powers if you have ended up in my class. How will a teacher be able to teach the students effectively if they don't know what the student can do? If you already know the material in this class I will personally kick you out.

View it as an opportunity~ It's not always that one has a chance at teaching others your perspective on things.

Many times they will appreciate the knowledge you have bestowed upon them and that can be a pleasant feeling in on itself.

Maybe you'll enjoy it once things get rolling hm?

Hmph. My only concern is becoming the strongest wizard. To do so, I must train my own magic, not waste time talking to kids.

No one is stopping you from continuing your training though. If anything, going back to basics during class should serve to strengthen your advancement.

Can't fulfill the intricacies of the more complex advanced magic if you can't harness the basics to their full potential.

That's a rather intriguing and mysterious name Mr. Wegey. It's pleasant to voice.

[Schezo can't hide his surprise, since no one has ever complimented on his name before. Not that he really cared for his name that much ~~other than being called a pervert~~...]

Do you think so? I've never cared much for it before.
