Video / action
[Not much preamble to the video.]
Happy New Year.
I got a piece of paper I need studied - I wanna know where it came from, who's touched it and pretty much anything else about it that might be unusual including whether it's been handled by a ghost or some other undead type person. Handwriting expert could be useful too because I wanna see if it matches the writing of someone who was on campus. Methods scientific or occult or a little column A and a little column B - Don't care. Just need results. I'm willing to pay.
ACTION! Choose your own adventure.
Scenario A: Knuckles is in the Gym in the afternoons beating the snot out of the training bag, or in the weight room, lifting the custom weights Max made for him in ridiculously high volume. He's less his normal cheerful self and it's pretty clear he's working through some frustrations but don't let that stop you saying Hi! He's more than happy of the company, honest! And if you're up for a spar, he would be more than happy to oblige you there, too.
Scenario B: Inbetween or after classes, you can find him in the halls or finishing up whatever work he didn't get done during whichever class you happen to share with him. He may also be walking inbetween buildings or across the quad or to the gym or anywhere else you may have reason to run into him.
Scenario C: In the city, at night. You're less than likely to spot him unless you're on the rooftops of FDC or doing something you shouldn't be doing and he happens to find you. He's been patrolling late evening through to very early morning, especially in the area near where they found Charlise's body, and wherever else recent violence has been reported on the six oclock news. Feel free to either be also inspecting and looking for clues, Oh Fellow Warriors of Justice. Or just be someone who happens to cross his path.

[She blinked as she took the pen from him and after a moment of looking around the store to the said accessories, she looked back down to the paper she'd let him glance over for her sake.]
There's quite a bit to this, isn't there... What an undertaking. I never would have imagined to have such an interesting day, or such an interesting shopping experience. [Voile smiled appreciatively.] Thank you for being here, Knuckles.
no subject
[And he was - If it had seemed like a chore to her he would have felt supremely guilty, even though he was just doing his best to do the right thing and ensure she was kept safe.]

[As she filled in her paperwork, she offered it over to the clerk with a more modest and shy smile, as if she seemed a bit apologetic that she didn't really know better.]
no subject
[He said it quietly, not wanting to look corny or sappy in front of the clerk who was, tankfully, now busy filing Voile's paperwork and mmaking necessary notes on the computer just a little way away from them.]
no subject
Everyone needs someone. I suppose that would make you mine.
[What a comforting notion.]
no subject
Sure. Hey, you do the same for me too, so, so far as I'm concerned, we're even.
no subject
[She leaned onto the counter and found herself looking at the accessories again. Then she slyly gave Knuckles a softer look.]
What kind should I get? Aside from my green case.
no subject
Well, there's charms to hang off of it and there's different kinds of straps to loop around your wrist so you don't accidentally drop it while using it and walking. There's decals - things kinda like stickers for you to put on the phone or the case to make it even more personalized. There's all kinds of options, really! Just depends on what you see that you like. And there's no pressure to get extra stuff today if you don't pot anythin g you want. There's a lot of stores that sell this stuff so you can wait until you see something that really grabs you.

Then she moved over to Knuckles' opposite side, eying the variety of goodies they had to offer.]
Charms sound cute. I don't think I have any possibility of dropping mine, and I tend to be pretty careful with most things. But I think I do want some charms. A charm, at least. I think I can only fit one from what I was looking at. And I know I definitely want a green case. Think they have any flower charms?

[She almost pouted, but then she thought better of it. As she looked him over, she realised that she couldn't tell where his ears were either. So she decided to opt for something different. She reached for his cheek and gave it a gentle pinch, but didn't quite let go.]
I'm sure you want to come with, right?
no subject
[He really didn't mind her pinching his cheek like that so didn't move away. He chuckled just a little bit - He probably wouldn't much like that if it were anyone else doing it.]
no subject
[Voile shook her head with a smile.]
I can't carry you or anything. So I just don't want to become so dull or anything that you somehow fall asleep.
no subject
[He started walking toward the racks where the charms were hung. There were a great number of different things, from little animals to geometric shapes, to popular cartoon characters and political figures, pokemon, and yes even flowers.]

So for many moments, she said nothing, simply turned her head from one way to another and back again, simply skimming the wall. She was in no grant haste, no desire to rush through this, that, or the other thing. And considering she might have looked a little amusing, she reckoned that Knuckles wasn't going to particularly dislike watching her. Provided that he was.]
Wow. [Finally, some words. Well. A word.] Now I'm not sure what to get. Too many options...
no subject
[He pointed to each as he made mention of it.]
no subject
[She thought about skimming the others, but instead, she decided to take a closer look at what he'd offered. The roses were nice. Voile liked roses. Not as much as lilies, but they were definitely a higher ranking flower in her opinion.]
Probably not. Most people aren't into lilies, I don't think.
no subject
[He scanned the collection, doing his best to spot any.]
The closest thing I see are those. They look sort of like Lotus flowers?
no subject
[Voile had to stop and think about the possibility for a moment. Lotus flowers were incredibly delicate and required special care to survive. Well, many of them did. She imagined some breeds weren't quite as sensitive. She wondered if Knuckles knew that, or if he put two and two together.
She certainly was a fragile creature on her own.]
These are pretty. I think these will do just fine. They suit me, too.
no subject
....I think this one is the best one.
[He offered it to her.]
no subject
Perfect. Thank you for picking it out for me. Admittedly I don't know a lot about orchids, so perhaps with these I can learn how to be more like one.
no subject
[He loved nature, but he was no botanist.]
And you're welcome for the pick - but I won't be offended or nothin' if you wanna get your own instead. You should look a little more just in case something else catches your eye.
no subject
[Voile laughed and she reached for a rather small book with print that was probably way too tiny to read. Evidently she'd had it solely for the pictures. After a moment of squinting, she halted and skimmed a few pages.]
Well, it's not a water lily, though that's a common misconception I guess. And it's definitely not like an orchid. We are both wrong.
