[Once the recording begins, Chili waves. He appears to be sitting at a desk in his dorm room.]

Hey! I completely forgot about introductions on this network thing; this school's a busy place, I'll give it that! If we haven't already met, my name's Chili! I'm the blazing hot Fire-type gym leader of Striaton City, but I'm here because even I could learn a thing or two from a wacky school like this!

Now that that's out of the way, I have a question. [His expression becomes more serious. He motions to the paneled layout of the room, and to those circular doorways and whatnot. He doesn't appear pleased.] Is this get-up permanent? This interior design scheme, I mean! It looked fine before, why did it have to be changed in this way? Now it's just creepy. Who thought this was a good idea, anyway?! [He huffs.]

I just thought this would be the place to ask, since I have no clue who else to go to! I really hope it'll be changed back!

[ Ah, yes, he should have expected such a remark. People will still think he's a bit of a troublemaker, won't they? Such a shame... ]

Former Team Plasma. [ Might as well correct him, but he can believe what he wants to believe, natch. ]

This is an academy, yes? This means, of course, I am here to learn.

I'm not so sure about that! That sounds like it could be an excuse, easily! Even though Team Plasma has disbanded, how can I be sure that you're not going to cause any trouble?!

Ah, because, fair gym leader...

... I was fooled into thinking I was Team Plasma's leader in the first place.

[ A vague statement, but he'll let him take that as he will before he continues on. He isn't going to get too deep into the personal and emotional aspect of it, but he is going to give the general gist, the important details. It's no secret and hardly even should be. ]

Fooled? [Chili flares up. He thinks he has this all figured out.] How could you be fooled into being responsible for the separation of trainer and Pokémon?! And that aside, what would you have to learn here?! I don't get this!

It is far too long and convoluted of a tale. [ N tilts his head away just a little, yet his eyes remain solidly on the camera. ] I will allow you to believe what you wish to believe.

I will say that I have abandoned that cause and I am here to learn how to help Pokemon peacefully.

[ Trying to cause a fissure with a legendary vs. becoming a professor? Yeah, that's... a kind of drastic improvement, at least, but he can't blame him for not believing him, either. That's going to happen, and it should not affect him and his goals. ]

[His eyes narrow suspiciously. There's not much he can say... He has nothing to contradict his word.]

Right now, I don't know what to think. But mark my words, I'll be the first to respond to anything suspicious! [Chili almost forgets that he did not respond to the last time they were needed. He says this next bit as an addendum:] --This time, for sure!

I would not expect any less of you. Fear not, however; there will be nothing suspicious to respond to in the first place.

[ He hardly is saying so to `comfort him`, given that he doubts he'll have any sort of cooperation in the sense of making him relax. He is merely saying his piece, the truth. ]

[Sometimes this guy talks so fast that he can't really tell what he said... but he gets the gist of it, and gives the camera a side-eye.]

I guess that means I'm gonna have to give you a chance, huh? I said so myself, so I'll stay true to it! So, in that case... this time, I'll greet you with a fiery passion, and hope things work out well!

Therefore: It's nice to meet you, N. Are you gonna be a student here, or what?

[ That is a far better reaction! Hopefully nothing goes awry with this one. He definitely does seem to have fiery passion, whether it be positive or negative, so he decides that treading carefully will be best. ]

Why, yes, I am a student! I'd been here just a year prior, but I left to do some soul-searching...

[ He dons a much brighter smile now. ] Now I've returned with a goal in mind. I am majoring in Pokemon Studies to become a Pokemon Professor of the Unova region.

[Chili blinks at the video of N. He didn't expect the person he thought to be the leader of Team Plasma to look so kind like that... It leaves him feeling a bit confused, but he keeps a smile on anyway.]

That's not half-bad of an idea! It's not anything I'd be interested in doing, becoming a Pokemon Professor, but it sounds like quite the challenge! There's probably a lot of work that goes into a job like that, and a lot of dedication, too!

[ Kind, yes. Friendly, yes. All the same, however, he is a creepy manchild. Sorry, Chili, but even though he's ~~a canon-stu~~ full of good intent, he's still not a perfectly pristine flower. ]

It especially requires dedication. I want to know as much as I can about every kind of Pokemon there is. I wish to dedicate a long amount of time with each one to know them inside and out. I will update the Pokedex to its fullest accuracy and include only the best of information to ensure that they are well taken care of.

[ ... That's a bit overdoing it, though, isn't it? A long amount of time to each? There's... kind of 649 Pokemon to examine, N, not to mention a good amount of those are legendaries. ]

[He blinks, looking a bit startled and hesitant.]

Whoa, that's a lot of dedication, all right! Do you think you'd even have time for all of that? It's good to have ambition, but maybe you shouldn't expect that much out of yourself!

Of course. I have not much more to life than to help Pokemon, frankly... although I do enjoy my human friends, as well.

[ obviously or else that'd be kinda rude ]

I have plenty of time and ambition. I will pursue even my highest of dreams.

[His face continued to display the same expression of hesitancy, on the edge between being unsure and accepting. There was a lot to think about here...

But then he smiles again.] Well, good luck to you! I'm sure that if you put your best intentions into it, you'll do great!

Thank you. I will give it nothing short of my best.

[ A-Aheh-- there's not much more to say here, isn't there? This is kind of awkward, but N just takes it more as his nerves acting up and less as the tension in the air. He tips his hat down politely, shutting the feed off with this: ]

Good day to you, friend.

[ Friend? Already? WELP. ]
