3rd Test: Summer Announcement
Hello again everyone, this is Ms. GLaDOS. To those of you who are new and did not have the pleasure of being in my class, I am the computer teacher in this...fine academy.
[How did she say that with a straight face?]
At any rate, it's been a while since we last spoke, but I've been terribly busy. As such, I couldn't bother wasting my time with such trivial affairs as this. Luckily, I've finished my work so I can take a bit time off to address my students. Since you all mean so much to me, I've decided to host a summer class for Computers 101. That being said, I would like to be able to get into the more complex aspects of computers. Ergo, if you are uninformed in them, I strongly suggest taking up the summer class.
I'm not going to be babying anyone here, so don't expect handouts. You want to learn? Pay attention. That is all.
[PRIVATE TO CAVE JOHNSON]
Sir, the project you requested has been completed. Feel free to stop by my office to pick it up at any time.

Sir, the project you requested has been completed. Feel free to stop by my office to pick it up at any time.
[Action]
[She waved her hand as if to dismiss the question, sat up straight in her chair, and pulled a coaster out of her drawer. Then, she placed her mug on it and turned to Sonic.]
If you really desire to learn about these computers, then I'm not going to turn you down
because I don't have a choice. Don't, however, waste my time. Pay attention and do as I say. Am I understood?[Action]
He places the laptop down on the nearest table with a hard clunk, then opens it up to reveal a messy keyboard and an upside-down D key. How did he even get it to stay on? .... oh dear god, super glue. ]
You've got my fullest attention.
[Action] 1/2
[The teacher visibly rolls her eyes, clearly not looking forward to this. Well, at least it could be worse...]
[Action] 2/2
In one foul swoop, she grabbed him by the ear with her left hand, pulled him towards her, then lead him towards the back of the room.]
You've got a lot of nerve asking for my assistance when you damage school property like that. You ruined a perfectly good piece of technology and expect me to work with it?
[Once the teacher reached the back of the room, she let go of his ear, opened the closet in the back, pulled out a heavy-duty labtop, and handed it to him.]
This one shouldn't break. However, should you attempt to damage it you will be met with...quite the shock.
Re: [Action] 2/2
When she finally relinquished the poor thing, it began to swat at invisible flies. He sighed with relief, her complaints almost flying into one throbbing ear and out the other in the process.
When presented with the laptop, it occurs to him what she said (though her warning went right over his blue skull) and a small click of his tongue sounds off his suppressed annoyance. ]
Soooooorry. Yeesh. Not my fault that thing couldn't handle my typing speed. [ Too bad that didn't equally translate to quality... ]
... So, this one should be okay?
no subject
[She sighed, before closing the closet doors behind her.]
Yes. It should be able to handle a lot more ware and tear than the last model did. That doesn't mean you can throw it against the wall for sport, however. Understand?
no subject
[ He sniffed back his guilt.
He didn't throw it, GLaDOS. It... hit the bed a little too hard, bounced, and smacked into the wall. ]
But! Yeah. Gotcha.
[ He's about to drop the machine down on the desk, but stops himself short and slowly places it down. Maybe he could be reckless elsewhere, but Teach has a helluva grip and he wasn't about to be subjected to that again.
He pushes the top open to start the machine up and looks back to GLaDOS. ]
There's one thing I really wanna learn before anythin' else: Can you show me how to make messages private?
[ Because he ain't got a clue. Recent events have made Sonic realize he's going to need more discretion. ]
no subject
Of course. It's simple, really. I don't know how you didn't figure it out yet, but I suppose I should be grateful you can at least turn the computer on...unlike some other students.
[She logs on to the network and opens a message to work on.]
Alright, you see the drag bar on the upper left hand corner? Click on it and it gives you the option to filter away from certain people, filter to certain people, or to make your entry private to one or more people. Once it's been selected, you search for those that you wish to filter to, filter from, or private and then type the message.
[She turns to the hedgehog.]
Simple enough for you?
[I give you a total success yet failure.]
[ Rolling up the sleeves he doesn't have, Sonic spins the laptop in his direction while remaining beside her, knocking out her view in order to try it on his own.
After a moment, he looks satisfied with himself and leans back into her view. ]
Man, I got this down.
[ And however GLaDOS receives her messages
Does her butt tingle or something?, she was going to find herself with a private video chat heading her way. ][Oh Sonic.. XDDD]
yes her butt goes numb for a bit when she gets mailOnce the message was sent, the AI's headset lights up. She pushes the button on it, and a holographic screen is emitted in the air, with...Sonic on the other line.]
Well. At least we know you're not hopeless.
no subject
[ Who wouldn't.
But now he was talking to the camera instead of the teacher right there. ]
