Case 02 - Detectiving Goodfellows

The notions of what goes on in terms to dealing with crime in this city is a near farce. I have noticed already a few abusing their positions of power, and the crime records of some of the students and teachers span years and multiple accounts. Either this city is accepted as a neutral ground or all are given a second chance - one that not everyone seems to using for their benefit and more as an excuse to behave worse. There is something definately unique about the entire area, that is for certain. The fact I was able to call upon my Persona powers confirms it.
After handling the case's files, I understand why they have asked for me. None of the police can come into the school without raising suspicion and a student will perhaps ease up to speak with me than a man in a uniform bound by a strict set of rules. Preparation of trail against Caim of Caerleon advances, but I must ask the witnesses what they say and continue to collect samples.
From the criminal dossier, the human victims are as follows;
- Gaston Loszynski, a bartender at the Golden Cup, discovered by a Smash Academy student by the name of Gold
- Frédérick Réginal, a waiter at the Hanging Garden discovered in a dumpster by a civilian
- Donovan Fitting, a worker at Needle and Thread, a department store specializing in tailor-made clothing. There was also an attempt on his step-sister, Clotho Fitting, but she avoided death. Donovan's body was found by Phoenix Wright, one of the teachers and Ema Skye. Miss Skye is no longer a student of the school, and getting her story will require a video interview in a few days.
Additionally one of the students, Mac Little, was nearly killed and serves as a primary witness.
There was also the murder of what appears as a school mascot and pet, the Kraken, who had been living in the nearby lake. Its guts were strewn around the school like garlands, affecting some of the students and teachers mentally.
The suspect does not seem to feel any guilt from any of his murders so far. However, I have not met him in person yet. This must be rectified.
Moreover, his capture was done under a code of conduct that goes against everything of a proper one, giving me fears this may be used as an argument in the court. Instead of using police force, the suspect was brought to the school's stadium, where one of the members of the security Majima Goro, taunted him with a kidnapped child, Ai. One of the members of the security confirmed as much, along with Ai's mention of his name. It is best to speak with him, despite my reservation in dealing with members of the Yakuza crime organization. From what I understand, the child, Ai, is important in Caim's eyes and this was used to get him to cooperate before being captured and thrown into the school's holding cell. Charges were brought upon him, but he was released on probation today, with Ganondorf Dragmire, head of security serving as his watcher and held on school arrest until the trail beings. While I think a prison would be more fitting for him, I can only wonder if having him in jail here would be too dangerous to the others on a holding cell with him. Regardless, I should not judge on the school's decision if it seems to serve its purpose. The rules here are quite different and they must have their reasons.
Apart from the DNA, hair and tissue samples collected on the victim's bodies and video footage, There are fingerprint marks etched in the Kraken's blood that were photographed. I suspect that the blood was not completely washed off from the school's walls and will use a blacklight to search for more evidence in a short while.
Still...there is much to do in regards to this case. Interviewing all of the people involved is my first concern, but Caim's guilt seems more than apparent. I must speak with him as well, although my notes tell me he is mute. He must be well written, I suspect.

I do not wish to endanger your lives for any reason and you are freely allowed to refuse, but I would feel more comfortable having the three of you out of sight and nearby in case anything happens. Caim and Majima Goro are the two that I suspect will be the hardest to interview and could provide unpredictable.

An additional update in regards for a place for all four of us to converse outside of the school. A woman by the name of Bob Heather Arceus approached me during lunch and mentioned she had a detective office available on the upper level of her cafe in the city. A bit of research in both the school logs and library seems to confirm she is the equivalent of a Creation God to the Pokemon, and displays abilities as such. I can't quite explain why, but I believe she can be trusted.
I have already visited the premises and found it more that sufficient. Too good to be true, actually, but I understand it seems that Arceus tends to do these gifts without warning. Just from the small notes, she has done such things are growing a coffee tree in one of the teacher's dorms and [more Bob shenanigans go here].
I did not find and surveillance cameras installed. The office has a small personal library, a garden, a room filled with sewing material, a single large screen television with movies that I am certain Chie would like, a mini karaoke bar...there are cat doors installed everywhere. It's like she knew all of us personally and decorated to fit out tastes.
Regardless I am not going to refuse such a boon, if you three agree to it.

[While you converse with him, you raid the police archives since you have access to them. Majima's file is rather large, and mentions that he not only works as one of the enforce groups in the Kanto rejoin, but is used to keep the other branch families in line. Considering how the file goes on that police dealing with him (what little do) mention he is sarcastic, insane and uncontrollable, you have a good idea how he keeps men in line. This does beg the question why such a high-profile Yakuza leader would be here in the first place, but that is not important right now. Your family has dealt with Yakuza for all generations, especially after their prominent rise after the Second World War.
It is an unfortunate reality and as much as you hate it, there is not much to do. You wish to anger him, but you know that your friends would worry about you. You still have a feeling they'll be angry at what you said next, but you figure it is the safest way to deal with him and get the information you require.]
My primary objective is to solve the case and get a clear picture. The justice department is not under my jurisdiction, it merely takes in the research I give them and do the arrests on their own.
[That part was painful to say, but as much as you'd want to see someone like him behind bars, two would rise up behind him, just as worse. Trying to fight the Yakuza in Japan would be trying to shoot one of the Hydra's heads and hoping nothing else springs up.]
