[Video feed turns on, and a face that has been somewhat absent from the school this past month greets the screen. He is astoundingly disheveled, covered in a mossy beard, long, wild hair the usual facial piercings. For some reason he's also got monk's robes on? You can probably imagine he smells pretty strong right now too. Because he does. He smells overwhelmingly of flowers.

Vinnie's still a little out of breath and maybe a bit red in the face for some reason, but he's home. And looking a good deal happier than he did when he left in December.]

Al'right, I'm pretty sure I was gone at least 5 months, so... [He glanced at the calender on the computer.] Is this right? It's still Feburary here? Shit, no wonder nothing's blooming yet.

Uh, I dunno if you got all my letters then. Well. [Pause.] S'that mean there's another one of me runnin' around in Johto right now...?

[Time travel, you were really weird. But he wasn't going to think too hard on that right now. Vinnie shrugged and smiled.] I guess I'm back. Did I miss anything important? Has everyone been okay? Red? Where is everyone? I really miss the shit out've you guys.

((ooc note: thanks to Celebi, Vinnie's been 'ported back to school! His solo logs will, however, continue in 'real time.' So if he mentions something that hasn't happened to him in the logs... chronologically, it hasn't yet.))

[Poor baby. She hovered around his back, gently wrapping her arms around him and resting her chin on his shoulder. She didn't have any flowers, so her attempt at aromatherapy didn't quite work out quite the same.]

There, there. It'll wear off in a moment.

[The faint smell of pine around her was soothing, though. Vinnie closed his eyes and soaked in the feeling of her embrace. It just felt very... right. And safe.

Breathing deep, his vertigo slowly dissipated and he opened his eyes again. The inside of his dorm room greeted him - and for one surreal moment it felt like he had never left. Like it was just a continuation of their encounter in his room.]

...Holy crap.

[Her laughter was a quiet chime in his ear. Celebi stayed there for the time being, peering around all his hair and hobo robs to see how he was looking.]

Quite the rush, isn't it? I'd say you get used to it, but i'm not sure how many times you'd like to di it~

Urgh. I'm kinda hopin' to keep it to a minimum.

[He looked around some more. It was still pretty cold. Sure, they just left a blizzard, but springtime in FDC should've been warmer than this. In fact, all the plants around him were still sleepy.

Vinnie assumed it was just a straight forward teleport they did, but... this didn't feel like April.]

Uh... why's it still winter here?

[Mmm. Definitely not April. Celebi blinked owlishly towards the window and zoomed over to it, pressing her hands against the pane and peering outside.]

Ohhhh~...

[She gave a bit of a smile that could have almost been read as apologetic.] It's February! A little bit earlier than planned.

I... what?! Did we just time travel?

[Oh my god. OH MY GOD.]

[He shook his head. That was kind of a dumb question, but come on, it was his first skip through time.]

So wait, that means there's another one've me out there right now? That's why I can't go to Johto? What happens if something different happens from what I remember?

She set herself on the ground and walked back over to him properly.]

Teeeechnically, yes! You could go to Johto, but I will strongly suggest that you don't. If something different were to happen to that one, you probably wouldn't even know. That's not something you have to worry about though!
