This killer tried to get Mac, huh?

They better pray I don't land so much as a finger on them. I was concerned before, but now this punk has my full attention. I almost hope the police get to 'em before I do.

Can't promise you that. If it comes down to it, I dunno what this freak is capable of and if they're unlucky enough that I get a solid lead and track them down? I gotta get in there and stop them however I can. So far as we know they're picking on a certain type of person - Young Human Males.... but I'm not gonna let that fool me into thinking they're soft. Mac was able to keep himself alive but barely and I've gone toe to toe with Mac... he ain't a pushover.

[Goombella was so worried and afraid she couldn't take it. And hearing Knuckles talk about putting himself in harm's way wasn't making her feel any better. So she decided to go see him and straighten it out.

[The door opens and there is a Knuckles, looking as though he's dressed up to go out. He was about to head down to the hospital being he was no longer in 'OH GOD FLIP ALL OF THE SHITS' mode.]

Oh... hey, baby. Everything OK?

[She wanted to say so many things. She wanted to tell him not to make her worry. Not to do something stupid. To be careful. That she didn't know what she'd do if anything happened to him.

She wanted to. Instead she just threw her arms around him and hugged him tightly, trembling a bit.]

[Oh no - was she going to cry? He'd never done particularly well with crying people.]

[But satill. He hugs her back.]

[Goombella couldn't think of what to say just yet. She just hugged him tightly, and nodded in agreement. He was right. There was probably nothing to worry about. But she was still afraid.]

[He hugs her a little tighter]

Look, Baby... I know you're worried. But I have to do this. Bad things could happen to good people if I don't... I might be able to save some lives. People who don't have the abilities and strengths I do to back me up. You understand, right?

[Goombella nods again.]

I know, you're right... And I'm not going to stop you. But I'm still going to worry about you. I can't help it.

I know... but don't worry TOO Much. Like I said... I've fought some pretty intense battles. This guy probably can't even catch me, let alone hurt me. Who else do you know can work his feet like me? ....apart from Sonic. And. Blaze. Who I don't think you've met anyway.

I'll try. But I'll only really feel better when this creep is brought to justice and the city's safe. In the meantime, please, try to be careful.

Yeah... I think I'd like that... I'm sorry to distract you just to deal with my insecurities though.
