[Oh, a video of everyone's favorite hyperactive, idiot trainer boy. But something clearly isn't right. His cheeks are tear-stained, there's a bright streak of blood across his forehead, and most disturbingly, his hat is missing. Something clearly is not right.]

There's something everyone needs to know! I'll tell you what happened, alright?

This afternoon, I took my Jumpluff out to go train in the forest near the school. While we were out there, I found something really, really disturbing. If you're sensitive to stuff usually, you might wanna not listen...

[Gold leans in towards the camera with wide eyes.]

I FOUND A DEAD BODY.

That's right! I really did. Deep in the heart of the forest, just leaning up against a tree. He had a big... gash in his stomach and he had bled so much. I didn't know he was dead or if he was just unconscious and I don't know how to check. My Pokemon and I, we carried him into the city and to the hospital.

[He starts tearing up a little bit.]

It's sad... I started thinking about if he had a family or who was gonna miss him now. They told me that someone probably killed him and he was probably... that he had probably been dead for a couple of days. [Deep breath.] I'm really freaked out. I just want everyone to know SOMEONE DANGEROUS IS OUT THERE!

[To be reduced to this state... Lucas was truthfully just really taken a-back. The only thing he can really really think to do is to reinforce his hug, just to make sure that Gold knew that he wasn't going to let go until Gold was ready for him.]

[Gold sits there for a good minute or two, crying in Lucas' arms. He found it to be incredibly comforting. For a moment, he gets his mind off the body. He mumbles into Lucas' shoulder...]

Sorry.

[To tell the truth, Lucas doesn't really mind all of this time standing in the doorframe and hugging the younger trainer like he was. He hadn't really hugged someone in a while, and... well, he missed it. He was super glad that he was actually helping considerably with this hug, and shook his head.]

Hey, it's alright. I'm here to help you right now, and it's not like I just hate comforting my friends or anything. Haha.

[Finally, Gold lets go of the other trainer. He wipes his eyes on his sleeve, then stares at Lucas'... chest. He's a little too embarrassed to look directly at him.]

Heh ... Yeah. Thank you, Lucas.

Would you mind sitting with me for a while...

[He grinned, looking at his hair.]

No problem... and, not at all. I know that when I'm feeling really bad, the only thing I was is to just hug someone and know that there's someone there.

[And so Gold toddled over and plopped down on his bed. He pat a spot on his mattress next to himself.]

[And, of course, the boy followed right behind him. Climbing onto the bed and leaving only a hair or two of space between the two of them, leaving him able to lean against him if he wished.

~~No homo~~]

[Once Lucas was next to him, Gold turned his torso to face him, and he wrapped both his arms around him again. No crying this time. Just hugging. Lots of intense hugging.

~~Yes homo.~~]

[Hugging is an amazing thing!!!! Especially whenever there's actually no crying involved this time. Their warm fuzzies are very mutual as he wraps his arms around the hugging bro. Just all of the hugging and feelings and no crying.

~~Yeah this is pretty homo.~~]

[Except... When Gold starts to relax again, he gets a bit weepy again. He tries to get his mind off the whole body thing by thinking about his mom. But thinking about his mom makes Gold wish she were there. That makes him want to cry.

Instead, he tries thinking about Lucas. How nice he is for all this. How good his hugs feel. Gold sorta slumps into the hug and rests his head on the other trainer's shoulder, burying his face in the other's neck.]

[The weepy feeling doesn't escape this boy too easily. He's able to at least catch a tiny bit of it. The feeling that he's felt so many times, where he needed not to. He tightened his embrace to just make sure that he wasn't going to let go. But, that wasn't all, he knew he should try doing something else to help.

So, he thinks back a bit. What made him also help feel better in these situations? Thinking... thinking...

Ah! Right! Another thing that his mom used to do. His hands glided up just a bit from his back, then moved back down. He remembered how much getting his back rubbed helped calm him, and he knew it would still certainly help in this situation. At least, he hoped anyways.

... Geeze, he hoped he wasn't going too far with this. He was just trying to be helpful.]

[And Lucas was being very helpful indeed. Gold would have told him so if he liked the idea of talking. But he preferred the silence at the moment. And the feeling of Lucas' palm on his back, petting gently.

Gold curled into Lucas, practically into his lap but not quite. He let out a quiet hum to let Lucas know he was doing a good job.]

[That very sign that his attempts weren't in vain made him just so dang happy. Even with the ~~awkward~~ shift, Lucas still kept himself very much attached to Gold. He moved from the petting motion he was doing to patting, but still being gentle about it.

Things were a lot different when you were on the other side of getting and receiving.]
