I probably should have done this when I first arrived but with the masquerade and everything ... now is as good of a time as any. Though the network is super annoying right now.

Anyway. My name's Ray. I was here ... some ... number of years ago as a student, but things are gonna be a little different. I'm going to be teaching Atmospheric Sciences which is basically a fancy term for Meteorology which is just another fancy term for this is going to be an easy class as long as you pay attention to the simulations and, oh I don't know, read. There will probably be a lot of out-of-class observations since the weather tends to botch when I'm around. Gonna try and get that under control but. You know, whatever. It'll probably be useful to you flying types, if you don't already know how to look out for bad flying weather. But that's it.

I don't really have anything else to add.

I look forward to joining the class, Sir Rayquaza. Though I'm not as acquainted with the sky as I am with the ground, if you are ever in need of a hand, I am one of the teaching assistants here.

My name is Riley. I feel like I should be polite to those in greater stature than I am.

A position of authority which still commands respect, do you not think so?

I believe I have a settled in well enough. Though I am one of the more recent recruits yes.

I don't mean to cause any discomfort, so I shall call you Ray.

Very nice to meet you, Ray. I look forward to learning about the changes of nature in your class.

[identity profile] shootgeodudes.livejournal.com 2011-11-16 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I am curious, you mention your class being useful to flying types.

Are you a Pokemon yourself? I am a Rhyperior, you see, and it is always nice to see more species present.

[identity profile] shootgeodudes.livejournal.com 2011-11-18 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
You are right. Being raised in the Regions, you become accustomed to the terminology applying to creatures of the regions alone.

Actually, I am from Kanto. As a little, in comparison to my current self I suppose, Rhyhorn, I spent my days in the Safari Zone. Until I was captured by Green Oak. Joining my trainer is the reason I currently reside at this school, as well as the pursuit of further knowledge and a clearer understanding.

[What Sasha meant to do was to use the type function, so you see her type out something. Ray gets that part first, along with witnessing Sasha's epic one-finger typing skills (she's gotten pretty good at it).]

Hello! It's nice to meet you Ray. According to Riley you are THE Rayquaza right? I guess that makes sense with both your sister and brother here.

[Yes she calls them bro and sister since that's how they presented themselves]

My name's Sasha by the way! I'm a Charizard and one of Red's Pokemon. Welcome to Smash Academy!...or welcome back since you were a student. That's so awesome, by the way, returning after you left. Even the Legendaries come back to teach, it's really neat!

[Okay. Enough fangirling. With a dramatic flare, she hits the send button, and then gives off a wistful sigh]

Ahhhh. A dragon-like Pokemon. I bet he's pretty cute.

[Yay for being 18 years old. Sasha does not notice the feed continues either, as you get a view of her continuing to type. Seems to be for other posts, however.]

I didn't realize Legendaries needed babysitting.

Oh yes! Definitely! It's nice to meet you too, Ray.

Ray. Like a ray of sunshine....

Shit, dude, for real? Long time, no see.

[identity profile] readuringbattle.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
Atmospheric sciences? That certainly sounds interesting. I hope you don't mind if I stop in just to observe your class...

Oh, my name is Canas. I do not recall meeting you, so... It's a pleasure to meet you, Ray!

Science-related subjects have always struck my fancy. When I arrived at Smash Academy, I was astonished to find that there were so many things I did not know... and so many things I thought I knew that have been proven false. I do not mind, however, for learning is something I love to do.

[identity profile] readuringbattle.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed... There are so many opportunities for them to learn such amazing things. I hope, at least, that there is a substantial amount who take advantage of their education.

A class on flying weather? Hey, that might be useful for someone like me! I wish I remembered you, but I don't, so... maybe we're meeting for the first time? I'm Pit! I'm a student that goes here, if that wasn't obvious.

[identity profile] pitticus.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'm an angel! That means I should know a thing or two about weather for flying. One time I went out soaring waaay up high with one of my good friends, but out of nowhere a HUGE storm gathered and we were in big trouble! I swear our very lives were in the hands of fate... It was one of the scariest moments I ever knew. Pretty much all I could do was fall, ahah...

In that case, it's nice to meet you!

Everyone always seems so surprised about angels.

Then maybe this is a class worth taking for me? I have to watch how many classes I take or else I might take too many, but... luckily I think this one will be a perfect fit for me so I'll have no room for regret! Thank you, Mr. Ray! Or do you like Professor Ray better?

It's interesting to see! I get a lot of surprised reactions about me.

Sounds good to me, Ray! I hope to learn a lot from you!

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Meteorology does intrigue me...

[Gee, I wonder why? Couldn't be the scientific aspects of it, no. Couldn't be the fact that Reshiram and Zekrom affect the atmosphere in a way, no no. Nope. NO WAY.]

My name is N. Expect me to attend your classes.

What exactly do you mean by being around makes the weather botched?

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Aha. I'm sure that is very useful then.

Yes, my name is just N, or at least, it is what I prefer to be called. [He finds it better than saying the full 'Natural'. Really makes him feel like part of an equation. how dumb] Ray... so you are a Pokemon, according to your ability. You aren't from Unova, are you?

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-11-12 02:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Abilities in Pokemon are ingrained. Some Pokemon can withhold them, yet others cannot because of their strength. This can be an advantage, yet a disadvantage. There is only so much Pokemon can do, despite them being near-perfect.

[Probably not a reality that they're all 'near-perfect', but see, N's just a little blind to that.]

I see. Then that is why I do not recognize you as a Pokemon. You could say I have a veritable knowledge of the Pokemon in my region. [Especially of the legendary kind.]

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-11-14 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
I could. I couldn't divulge on the more technological aspects of Unova, as they are still unfamiliar to me, but everything else shouldn't be out of my reach.

[haha technology what is knowing it apart from the computer... to a point...]

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-11-14 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Nor do I, but I felt it obligatory to mention, at any rate. Humans seem to hinge on technology, when all I need are the numbers in my head, my own body, and my friends.

[well and food but you know obvious things and all!!]
