[Video] - Cupidbot Aftermath
I should like to say that I, personally, am quite relieved to have not fallen in love with a cow this year. Mind you, there is nothing wrong with a tender steak dinner. Simply that a line ought to be drawn between loving animals and... well.
[Soryk pauses.]
Loving animals.
[With a flick of his wrist, he continues.]
On a related subject, after a good deal of thought, I have decided it is far past the time in which I should like some information on the creatures we refer to as 'Pokémon.' Their properties, naturally, and other such traits.
[Someone's poisoning extravaganza didn't go quite the way he planned.] For instance, what allows a Pokémon to die and yet, miraculously return from the dead? Eating habits. Life cycles. And so on.
I always thought they were merely animals with a higher intelligence than that of a house pet, yet it seems there is something more to them. If you are a Pokémon, share with me some about yourself. If you have a Pokémon, tell me about your companion. I would very much appreciate it.

[He gives a grand smile.]
I rather like it.

You're, um...welcome? I think? Least you're being honest about it

[Contrary to popular belief, Soryk is trying to be a better person. That's just difficult to do when he's spent his entire life being one way and one way only.]

[Like a certain elven girl who's never been too lenient about putting Soryk in his place.]
Heavens. I could never claim to be perfection and I believe the saying that to err is to 'human.' [Even though he's very obviously not human, or what he thinks 'human' is.] A most earnest misunderstanding, I assure you.

[Surprisingly.]
Merely a little surprising. I was not expecting it.

Say, allow me to apologize for going off like a bomb on you earlier. You don't seem like a really bad guy, and as you said, a simple misunderstanding. Maybe even on both are parts?
I'd like to start over on the right foot if it's okay with you?
no subject
Yes, of course. Although you had every right to be defensive. My wording was careless. A valid point is never one I intend to ignore.

[Isn't that what they say in journalism? Get the full scoop instead of scraps of information?]
By the way, my name's Mona if you were at all interested. In knowing what to call me I mean, not that you might be interested in me personally.

[A concept that Soryk is quite familiar with and still seemingly disconcerted by. He practically sounds like his long eyebrows are knitting together in thought and consideration.]
...And yet perfectly enlightening.
[An instinctive motioning to himself follows as he puts himself back together.] I am Soryk Val'kaeon, the instructor for the poisons class. Most refer to me as 'Val,' I should think.

[Her eyebrow is arched and her voice is so unsure of itself.]

[He clears his throat and this is the part he likes best. Soryk knows poisons like the back of his hand and there's a transparent pride in his voice.]
I do not teach how to make or apply poisons, but rather the traits and symptoms to poisons. Specifically, poisonous properties of flora, particularly that native to this area. You could consider it akin to a survival class, miss.

I do think it could be catastrophic if I attempted to give my students such ideas, though.

You might have an upper hand against me however, but I like yourself have no training in the fighting arts whatsoever. Sure, there is the argument I can punch and kick a person with relative ease, even resort to biting someone if the chance was given. Properly defending myself or knowing other tactics are a complete loss for me, which is why I came to the school in the first place. In case I ever needed the skills to fight back. Cause you never know!
