Are any of you familiar with the legend of the Dragon's Gate? They say that there exists a huge waterfall running off a great mountain. Fish swim upstream against the harsh current, but most tire out and are swept away. But those who have the courage to persist and make it to the top of the waterfall are transformed into a beautiful, powerful dragon.
It's a good lesson, isn't it?
That's right! Even though this school has countless obstacles and hurdles and dangers looming quite literally right over our heads, if we give up, we too will be pushed back and will make no progress! We must press on through the unforgiving current, and when we make it, we will come out stronger than ever! All right! Let's do our best to reach the top!!
[What brought this up? Is someone trying to keep himself from going nuts at the idea of one last year here... probably.]
On another note... There are many Pokemon and trainers here, so if anybody has any advice on raising a Magikarp, I'm all ears!
[Ah. Ah. That's it.
ACTION TIMES: Kiyotaka can be found bonding with an ugly fish he lets swim in a kiddie pool out in the stadium some days. Most of the time he can be found studying. Livin' on the edge. Although whatever he's doing, he seems to be favouring his left arm a little.]

Why didn't you just call them... Well whatever, we'll deal with the rest of them later. Grab your partner and let's go.

Too late for regrets now. He grabs the Pokeball off his desk and opens the door, though he frowns a little. If they're headed downtown...]
This is about the trainer's exam, isn't it?
[Maybe part of his slow texting had to do with also talking to Sonny in the meantime W H O O P S]

Pretty much. We're gonna keep you outta Pokejail.

POKEJAIL
POKEJAIL]
The-- the right thing to do would be to turn myself in now, wouldn't it?! If I've already broken the law, I can't just get a license now and pretend that makes it all alright!!
[You teased the wrong guy, Blue.]

[She's going to lightly nudge him along. Let's go before your face leaks more.]
no subject
What--?! Why would you even joke about something like that!? That's a serious issue!!
[HE TAKES THE LAW SUPER SERIOUSLY. But okay. He'll just take a seriously deep breath and calm his tits instead.]
Alright, let's go. We need to catch that train!

[SCOOTING ALONG TO THE TRAINBUS.]
I sort of figured you'd think "pokejail" sounds ridiculous... But don't worry, the fact that you have him in a pokeball means you are already more or less officially his trainer now.
no subject
How does it sound any more ridiculous than PokeMart or pokeball?

--Anyway, that's not important!! I need you to help me do an emergency review on everything I need to know to get this license! Go on, quiz me!!

[Blue thought about it as they hurried along, folding her hands behind her head. What kind of questions... This was some Professor like stuff. She laughed a bit to herself, but then dropped her arms to point at him melodramatically.]
Here's one for you! Why is it important that you get a license? You can take your time to think about it if you want.
no subject
[...he didn't stop to think about it AT ALL]
no subject
Why do you think you need one?
no subject
Okay, no, there has to be an actual answer to this. A personal response, beyond all the technicalities. These never were his specialty, but it just meant he'd have to take an extra few seconds to think about it.]
...Well, it's... to prove that I'm capable of doing this in the first place, isn't it? This is a living creature we're talking about, not a toy! If I can't prove that I'm responsible enough to take care of him, then I shouldn't be allowed to have one at all! Basically, it's the same reasoning behind getting any other kind of license!
