video; this guy is back i guess
[Suddenly, a man with a strange seaweed hair style. He looked rather upset, or did he? It was unclear. Because at some degree, Garry was happy about being back; but there was a very big confusion. Garry could've sworn this place seemed far more different than when he last left. Then he saw the calendar, and well.]
I...I don't believe this! How could so much time have passed since I left! I was only gone for a couple weeks and now this place tells me it's been months??
That makes no sense!! I didn't want to have been gone for so long, now the school year is over!
[He took a moment to then calm himself down. Forgetting that this meant there were those who didn't know him, or hadn't seen him for a while. This made for a great impression/return to the school. Garry had to recover, quick. After all, he wanted to come back to the crazy. People he missed and the teaching he missed, let's not screw this up.]
Anyway-! I'm Garry and I'm your old, er, or new Painting teacher. Nice to meet you all, or see you again. Whichever!
Aaaah, I suppose if anyone still needs me before the school year for anything, let me know!
Oh gosh, I'm so embarrassed.

[And another unsightly human.]
That hardly makes sense.

I enjoyed teaching, though. I'm not saying summer is bad but to think it's been only a couple weeks back home and I must've missed far too much longer than that here? It's just disturbing.

I expected to come back and it not be many months later, after all.
[Was he not clear about his frustrations? He knew maybe he acted silly but he hoped his confusion at least made some sense.]

[He had the feeling he just got scolded like a child, and to be honest, he felt like he deserved it. He just threw an unnecessary temper when he was supposed to be the adult.
He knew he couldn't help it sometimes, but that was besides the point. He understood where those frustrations were, and was really being straight with him.]
I see, perhaps I was acting very childishly. I should know how this place works; unexpected.
My temper was unnecessary, sorry.

Apologies are empty, boy. Make the best of your situation. At least you have not died.
no subject
I understand but did you need to be so brutal?
no subject
[Except Zelda. And that's a secret.]

[A little rude, sure. But he was being straight forward with "advice", when he didn't have to.]
You didn't have to say anything but you did anyway, so I'm grateful.

[A little harsh truth has sometimes been for the greater good.]
no subject
Well, if what happened to me was any indication, things just sort of happen here anyway sometimes.

For a while, I suppose I did fair. I mean, I don't have any flashy superpowers or any experience fighting. I'm still kicking.

[But Soryk's done what he meant to do and he's never been one for tarrying along.]
A most esteemed welcome back to you then, Instructor.

[Opinion on this man was up in the air but, eh. He got more than what he expected, he supposed.]

That kind of thin' seems to be the usual, the whole sci-fi time and space being messed up deal.

[Hey man, no dissin' the hair.]

So you were sayin' how long have you've been gone exactly?

Well, here goes! ]
Hello! Do you... remember me?
[ Granted all her hair was buzzed off now but the eye on her chest had always been signature. ]
no subject
He didn't want to be rude and forget her name. He really didn't, oh goodness.]
Ah, you were one of my students, yes?
SEVEN HUNDRED YEARS LATER
Maybe...? Uhm, I'm Vivian. It's nice to meet you.
Is painting fun?

[Cyrus knows all too well what it feels like to be yanked out of time]

But I guess it's been almost a year or so?

The world is truly a miserable place, and it must be fixed.
no subject
I...pardon? Fix this world?

...to live in a world of peace. That is my ultimate aim, what I dedicate my life to.
Does this interest you?
no subject
He was teetering between noble and crazy, more to crazy.]
Of course, peace does interest me, as it should be what everyone strives for.
[How did we get here?]
But what did you have in mind to help stop horrible things from happening like wars?

The population must be influenced, taught that violent actions are abhorrent. As surely as we teach math and science, these basic facts must be taught as well.
no subject
People usually should learn this from their parents or guardians when they're toddlers. Or, they're supposed to.
If you were to influence people...have you thought perhaps teaching goodwill? I mean, you can always say certain actions are wrong; but you could make the public feel negative.
Many wise men and women had swayed others with words of hope and kindness, not oppression.
