[Hey look who it was! It was That Janitor Guy and he's all super serious with his robes on. He received work from the man who called himself "Shiek", the one who ventured to the basement with a small crew. He heard from everyone else. Now he was here.]

I have heeded to what you all have been saying on the network about the strange insects and the basement.

I will be venturing to this basement and I will alert you all if I find anything else.

There is reason to suspect we have not seen all there is to see. If the safety of any who live on these grounds is threatened, rest assured I will get to the bottom of what is happening.

Hold on, it's dangerous to go alone! You didn't heed anything at all!

[Thank you, Kid with Large Eyebrows. Connor was used to going into dangerous things before and coming out of it, it came with the life he had led until this pinnacle moment. He wasn't about to hear that he can't go, because he was.]

I know it will be. But if no one ventures further to find the problem, more will be in danger. I will not sit by idly, I know what the risks are.

[Besides, he didn't know if Desmond wanted to come or not. Up to him really, Connor was going regardless though.]

That's right! They were deep and vast! Besides those small creatures that attacked us, you must be warned - my companion developed... some sort of illness when we returned. It's unlike anything I've ever heard of... It may not be related, but there's a chance that it is! Don't stay down there for too long!

[Surely, if it happened within a few days, then yeah, it was cause for some kind of alarm. Also, he assumed this companion was getting the proper care the place had to offer.]

Do you have reason to believe it was the insects about the school? Did you see anything attack your companion specifically?

It's hard to tell where it came from... But it certainly isn't anything that was spreading around the school! It could have been from the insects, or it could have been from that thing we accidentally activated down there...

I didn't get to see it before we fell on it! Whatever it was, it... it did what I can only describe as powering us up!

I have an ally, it is plenty that way. The smaller the group, the more success we could have at maneuvering around what this bunker has to offer.

If there is an enemy afoot, we both can handle ourselves at combat.

[Little did he know, the group was about to get larger. More over a group of people helping out as opposed to people all going in individually and getting themselves into trouble. Going into semi-large groups wasn't his style but...hell, whatever happened, there was back up. But again, he was used to doing almost everything alone.

We will manage just fine. I fear though that more of the masses would get curious and want to venture down there, if it is as dangerous as some say, then I promise I will keep an eye out.

[Basically, he's saying that maybe groups could get larger and larger and more visits would be made down there. Maybe he would have no choice than have more volunteers if it meant that more ground would be covered and...sure, if more back have to be covered as well. We're in for a ride, Smash.]

[It's none of his concern how well he looks out for himself. What mattered to him originally was if he'd bring a second party along to make sure that any information made it back safely in case one person was incapacitated. Who knew what it was like down there? But Ulki realizes that Conner might have thought he was concerned, which... he should have been from the get-go. That should have been the fuel for his question.

[Connor didn't know what Ulki was thinking about, but if more people were about to go, he was going to make his damnedest that everyone got out alive.

As of now, he wasn't even sure of how to respond to this, as that comment was so nonchalant.]

[He couldn't just explain that he didn't care. Why was he even trying to care? Because it was inconsiderate, and he knew it. To make up for being rude- even though it was only in his head- he almost thought to offer his assistance in case he needed it, but a part of him figured that some men might consider an offer like that to be patronizing. So he didn't.]

Yes, another student mentioned something that was activated when he and a companion went there, they spoke of it changing them in some way.

None of those things together make sense as they are, I hope to find some sort of connection.

[ Once Connor had finished, Desmond stepped back into the room, just finishing the last strap on his hidden blade and tugging his sleeve down. It wasn't his only weapon, of course, but it always did the trick.

[On the other end, Connor was looking at his own blades as well as the sharpness of his tomahawk. He had all his arrows in his quip, bow arched over his back.

He was quiet for a few moments before deciding he should actually answer Desmond. That was because he tried to find the best way to answer.]

I was ready to go alone.

[After all, he was used to doing everything alone too. His duty wasn't for anyone else to carry, his burden and his alone: a motto he lived by, with his own stubborn attitude.

He remember when he received a message from Shiek and his own troupe, information here traveled and with that, people were more and more curious. It was hard for him to admit, and it took some heavy pushing, but it really brought something into clarity.]

The information and rumors are spreading like a wild fire through the campus, and into the minds of many.

If I go alone, and come back with more information, how many more will become curious, Desmond? If I refuse the company of students and staff, I...do not believe them to be stifled as to want to go inside regardless.

If the danger rings true, how many would harm themselves?

I was actually thinking about coming down there myself. Would it be alright if I join you? I have means to defend myself.

How are you with weapons?

I have something called a COMP which resides not only my own AI but also a program written by the recently left computer programming teacher. It lets me summon demons as a means to protect myself.

[And for he to temporarily increase his strength and gain a skill that would be impossible otherwise, but that sounded even more farfetched to explain than the demon summoning strangely enough.]

[He knew computers were some strange form of modern entities but seriously?]

I don't quite fully understand it yet myself, but the program was scripted by Naoya-san. It's a mixture of science and magic, basically.

[That name was familiar; was he that somewhat smarmy man in charge of the computer lab? Yeah, must have been. Connor had enlisted on his help to understand computers once, and it didn't go so well. Then here was this kid using his program, was it something he could trust?]

Yes, I recall that man. You do have full control of this "program", do you?

[He was actually a little curious what this program would do. Witchcraft with demons was a risky topic to discuss to the non-magic eye that Connor had, but he would always remember where he was right now.]

I haven't fully figure out the exact coding he did to make such program work, but he also had integrated my AI into the COMP's operating system, so I have the demon in control.

[Hm.]

In the end, I suppose all that matters is that you can control that magic and use it to your advantage instead of against you, nor another ally.

[Chihiro would notice his head falling back, in thought; in consideration.]

Very well, I accept. If may be, we may need someone else with an affinity for magic in case we find unnatural enemies in the bunkers.

Thank you, I'll do my best, sir! They react badly towards ice, so we will have advantage incase we encounter enemies.
