Hey! … Listen, I don't want to tip toe around this or anything. There's a guy I like a lot, and fairly recently we decided we wanted to try giving going out a shot. If you'd be up for it, I'd really ilke you to meet him? (You already know him though.) Maybe we could meet up some time…?

[And then eventually, after dargon business went down, a series of other private network text posts were made from both of Bulba's and Vinnie's accounts. Wow. Gosh.]

[Dear Nyx and Jolt, from Bulba:]

So…! I recently kind of started seeing someone, though uh… maybe you'd already heard. Anyway I'd really like to introduce him to you, even though you actually already know him. Do you think we could hang out some time?

So uh. It felt like I should give you guys the heads up, cuz I just started seeing someone. If you wanted your karmic payback for whatever, then y'know... I deserve it.

Hi...! Uh! I just wanted to let you guys know that there might be another guy hanging out here sometimes now. Do either of you know Vinnie? He's got green hair and piercings, and he's a Venusaur like me.

Hello...! I can grab your coat, it's a lot warmer in here than out there. I'm glad you said yes.

[Here was Bulba gentlemanly offering to help with her coat. There was no lack of anxiety on his part, but it was far less oozy than Vinnie's. It was a much more fluttery, excited kind of anxiousness.]

[Admittedly, she felt far more awkward when they addressed her. And maybe that was because she could practically sense that odd fluttering feeling that she knew wasn't wholly hers. (But a good portion of it was.) Consequently, she looked between the two of them, allowed Bulba to take her coat, and laced her hands together.

Undeniably, she was curious.]

It really wasn't any trouble. Is everything all right? It's sort of strange that you both would want to see me. Do I need to intercept something and play Mother?

[Vinnie couldn't help but chuckle at the irony.] For once, no.

[Urgh, how did people do this, normally? Vinnie busied himself with pouring a fresh cup of tea as he fumbled with the words.]

There's nothin' wrong, it's just that we thought, uh... well, we wanted t'tell you something.

[Pause.]

...Tea? [He offered her the cup.]

[Bulba was taking care to put Voile's coat somewhere that wasn't lightly dusted with dirt.]

It's a good thing. Well, we think it's a good thing.

[Certainly not anything murderous or awful.]

[She looked between them both and it was more a subconscious action that had her accepting the tea. She was still trying to figure out what they were getting at. Why else would two people come together to make an announcement? And why to her? She'd never done anything. She was sure of that.

...Right? Did it have to do with her? No way. That just wasn't possible.]

Well, as long as it's what you two think is good, isn't that all that matters? Is this some kind of odd tradition thing?

I don't think so...? [Vinnie glanced over at Bulba, not sure how to answer exactly. Tradition would mean announcing a new boyfriend every year or something? No, hopefully that wouldn't be an annual thing.

He scratched his jaw idly as he tried to figure out how to make eye contact with Voile again without turning pink. He might have been failing a bit.]

I mean, no. It's just, uh. [Just spit it out, he told himself.] We're goin' out, that's all.

What he said.

[Bulba smiled only slightly bashfully Voile as he stepped closer to Vinnie.]

I don't know if we're actually supposed to go announcing it or anything but... We wanted you to know because you mean a lot to us.

[Why... why was this something she needed to know? WAS THIS SOMETHING COMMON? WERE THEY SUPPOSED TO BE THAT OPEN ABOUT IT?

It made her reconsider a lot where her relationship was concerned with Marie and Sonny, admittedly. Because Voile never really told anyone what she was doing. So maybe there was something wrong with her.

Her posture straightened and she blinked a couple of times.]

...Oh...! I think that's... very good. [Her head tipped. What was she supposed to say? Were they looking for her blessing? She was often the one acting as a mother.] As long as you are both happy, then I am happy, too.
