[ Koujaku is sitting in the common room, by the look of things, lounging on one of the chairs as he addresses the network, ]

Since it looks like I'm going to be here a while, I figured I should try something. I need a little advice first, if anyone is willing to help me out, [ bonus points if it's a cute girl helping him out, but you know-- ]

Back in Midorijima I was a freelance women's hairdresser, and I was thinking maybe I could open up a shop here as well. I can't let the lovely ladies of the Academy go without proper care, right? [ right. but that's not all! ] I guess I could make an exception for guys as well, since I've seen a couple that could use a little help, [ he grins, ]

So, anyone know a good place to set one up? I'd be more than happy to offer my services now, too until I get the place running. I don't have a roommate just yet and there's plenty of space in the dorm to work for now. [ thankfully, he had had his trusty supplies strapped to his belt like a huge loser when he came here. ]

Ah... I guess I should give everyone my name, huh? I'm Koujaku, it's nice to properly meet you all, and I appreciate any advice you can offer.

Aaah, maybe one of the empty club rooms would do... You could ask the Headmaster! He must know everything.

You know how to decorate a shop like that?

Yes, I have experience in home decorating! Decorating a shop mustn't be too different. [ Considering he managed to make some pretty hanging ornaments out of discarded bottles, he's... pretty darn good. ]

So if Koujaku-san needs some help, I will be more than willing to offer it!

Even if I said no, you would do it anyway wouldn't you? [ he's learning pretty fast that Clear just kind of... does things, ] So I guess it's alright.

[ he's a living surprise. he's like... like surprise kitten. but constant. and even cuter. and a robot. ]

... Eh?! Do you doubt me? That's mean!

It's not that I doubt you, I just haven't exactly seen you decorate before, you know? Decorating a shop like that isn't exactly easy, either.

I didn't think it would be, Koujaku-san, but that is fine! I will work as hard as I can until it is perfect, I promise.

[ ... There's really no changing his mind. ]

So it's just like I thought... [ he really wouldn't take no for an answer. alas. at least he saw that coming, ]

You said you knew a bit about home decorating, when did you learn something like that?

I learned from Grandpa, Koujaku-san. He claimed he wasn't the best at it, but he helped me decorate some of my room and did a fine job. Then, I fixed the rest on my own just after his passing... and before I slept.

[ And slept. And slept. And slept. ]

[She raises an eyebrow.]

You were really considering it. I think this could be a good thing for you, Koujaku. If you haven't already, you should go look around in the town. I imagine there are some vacancies. You should pick a place well suited for you.

[And for gaining attention. But to be fair, the academy- and the town -could use this a great deal.]

Of course. [ he grins. Why wouldn't he really consider it? ] I was planning on heading to town in a little while, actually, but I figured I should at least ask around here first just in case. I'll definitely find something.

Ah... by the way, how have you been, Eirika? It's been a while since we saw each other.

I think you will, in general, get good feedback. I don't believe there was anyone here from before who had quite the talent that you did. If you need help, I will do what I can.

[She does pause when he addresses her and she smiles kindly.]

I seem to be handling things to the best of my ability. Thank you for your concern. Have you been well?

Saying such sweet things as always. I appreciate it, Eirika. [ nothing boosts his morale faster than having a pretty lady complimenting him. ]

That's good to hear, I had been worried. [ that wasn't just him being nice either, that whole thing had been kind of concerning, ] But I've been alright - the past couple of weeks have been pretty interesting, at least.

[She shakes her head modestly, but doesn't reject his words.]

I apologise for concerning you, and I also appreciate your fretting. [He hardly knows her and he's worried about her. It's hard not to feel touched by that.] Do you care to tell me of your time, Koujaku?

You would do the same for me, right? Besides, you helped me out when I came here, and I told you I would return the favour, [ and he had, but that didn't mean he would stop worrying about her if something happened. gosh. ]

Hopefully this isn't too impolite, talking about these things, but I got signed up for that Blind Date thing that happened not too long ago. Did you hear about it? [ he somehow doubted she had participated, but hey, he could be wrong. ]

I would, yes. [Unconditionally. For all that's in her, Eirika never expects anything in return. She only does what she feels is right or what she feels should be done. But to say something like that... Modesty can sometimes be offensive.]

Blind date? [She blinks.] I think I may have heard mention of it and yet I was not involved. I haven't heard anything specific of it, however. I've not even the faintest what a 'blind date' might be.

A resident hairdresser...?

[Gears are turning...]

That's splendid! Some of the students have had unruly hairstyles for far too long, but now there's no excuse for anyone not to sport something more sensible!!

That's right! The best in Midorijima.

Koujaku laughs, ]

Trust me, I've seen a few of them already. Once I get everything up and running, I'll make sure they're taken care of - even the guys.

I suspect some of them won't part with their hairstyles so easily when the time comes. If any of them give you any trouble, just let me know!!

Do you only cut hair?

Of course, it takes more than being able to cut hair to call yourself a hairdresser. [ like she has any idea what you're talking about, Koujaku. ]

I can style and dye hair, too, or just trim it if that's all someone needs. Is there anything specific you want to ask about?

[ Evve switches the filter to strictly Koujaku now. She doesn't know this man or anything but a brief experience before her return has her hesitant to mess with her own hair. ]

Can you dye particularly sensitive hair?

[ Who the fuck asks that?

Sensitive? [ that question would probably be weirder if he didn't know a guy with super sensitive hair already. ]

Hm... for hair like that, it might take a little longer than usual, [ and probably a certain kind of dye. He'll have to look into that, ] but I think I'll be able to.

How sensitive is it, if you don't mind me asking? It doesn't hurt when someone touches it, does it?

[ She instinctively starts to reach for one of her front locks as soon as he mentions it, but her hand falls away. ]

I haven't let anyone else touch it but I suppose it does respond. [ She carefully lifts one of the long strips of blonde that hang low at either side of her face. ] It's just these.

[ And she bleached it, too. Christ. ]

[ He has a lot of work ahead of him, doesn't he? ]

I see. Maybe you can come and see me in person, and I'll take a look at it up close. It's a little harder to judge like this, but I should be able to dye it without a problem. [ talented fingers and all that huehuehue. ]

May I ask your name, miss?

[ as long as he doesn't wriggle them at her like a creep, she might look a little less uncomfortable than she does right now at the idea of meeting him. ]

[ A sharp stare suddenly emerges. ]

But don't tell anyone what we discussed. [ A beat. ] Please. [ She was really trying not to look embarrassed but was failing miserably. ]

A lovely name for a lovely lady, just like I thought. [ there will be no creepy finger wiggling. yet.

whatever dumb grin he's wearing falters a little though at her sudden demand, and he tips his head a little, ]

It's a hairdresser's duty to make sure his clients are comfortable - so you don't have to worry, your secret is safe with me, [ he raises his finger to his lips in a shushing motion, winking. ] Let's just say it's Client Confidentiality.

[ She crosses her arms against her chest, wondering if she was going to regret this. Little too much charm for her taste, but at least he wasn't obnoxious. She hoped. ]

[ Ugh, this whole thing had made her uneasy. The vulnerability that lingered around her figure made her shoulders tense. She had to move on, so she'd give him some information at the very least. ]

As far as a studio goes, you'd probably have more clientele within Final Destination City, but the last time I went there I couldn't take two steps without hostility or violence being in my face.

It seems to have lifted since but it would appear the campus is one of the safer places in the area but not without all the crazy.

So I suppose you need to weigh your options.

[ Never too much charm babycakes. ]

Hostility and violence? [ well, technically, that wouldn't be anything new after living in Midorijima, ] I know how to handle myself, but having things like that around might keep potential customers away. I'll have to take that into consideration, [ or just punch everyone in the face if they dare to threaten his clientele. either or. ]

I appreciate the warning though.

Sure. [ It was the least she could do if he would help her. ] If you find a nice area, it may not be too bad if another war breaks out. [ LOVELY.

She pauses briefly to think about what he said. ]

[whoops this guy has greyish blue hair that sticks straight up. He also looks a little bit like a zombie, with a REALLY intense gaze]

That said, regarding business, though I prefer my hair the way it is, it has become longer than I would like. I trust you will not attempt to change the style should I attend your shop.

Yeah, I could trim it for you. You sure you don't want anything else done?

I am certain. It is my natural hairstyle and I prefer it to remain such.

[ he nods. there's no point in accidentally insulting a potential customer, even if his hair is kind of... interesting. ]

Naturally? So you don't use any product in it or anything?

That is correct. While I hold symbolism and thus aspects of appearance to be important to the human psyche, I prefer certain aspects to remain natural.

[says the guy who outfits his followers in teal bowlcuts resembling Technicolor Vulcans]

That's pretty impressive, having something natural like that. Most hair that's styled like that tends to take a lot of work. [ a shrug. if the guy wants to keep it like that, then he can't really say much, ]

When did you want me to try and cut it?

I am available any time other than one to two on Monday, when I am teaching.

So... You know a lot about hair care? Can you recommend a good conditioner? I can't find one in this town that does the trick quite like the stuff back home.

That's right, young lady, it's my job after all. [ he tries to get a good look at her hair over the video, humming thoughtfully, ] That depends on what exactly you're looking for, I suppose. Organic conditioners might be a little harder to come by here, but they'll definitely help add more sheen and bounce to your hair. Which, by the way, is a very lovely colour. Is that natural?

I really need to make sure to avoid split ends. Something that'll strengthen it up would be perfect! Gotta keep it in tip top shape!

'm pretty sure you can probably find a empty club room or somethin', the hands are usually pretty cool with stuff.

Say, can 'ya recommend a guy some good but afordable dye? My favorite's apparently out of business since about 5 years or more ago.

Yeah, someone mentioned that before. I'll have to take a look around later.

What kind did you use before? It'd probably be best to find something fairly similar to that. Is it a natural colour you're looking for?

Kinda yeah, it's brown on the shades but a bit crazy on the light, [he tugs his bangs] it's uh... crimson I guess? Somethin' of the darkish red persuasion, basically.
