[001E - Audio/Video] - Arrival
[It is admittedly, the strangest situation Eirika has found herself in. And she has been in a few strange situations. She was intent on going along her way, but greater powers had other plans for her. It was how she found herself at the door to what was being referred to as a 'dormitory' and shortly after, shown inside and offered a key.
It's audio feed first by the one who's helped her in and shown her about. Video feed afterward, leaving Eirika on her own. Her expression paints her transparent. She's... confused, disoriented, and unsure exactly how this even managed to happen. She's just gone from a world of an unnecessary war to a...
They called it a school.
Rapier still in hand, she moves to sheathe it and shows her back to the camera momentarily as she turns to investigate her shared room.]
I should have liked for them to be more hospitable, rather than rushed. Whoever this Miss Lyra may be, I hope she won't find this too much of an unpleasant surprise...

...Prince Innes?

Who else would it be?

I hear you, but I don't see you.

[ because somehow he'd gotten this video thinger to work. ]

In a box. Leaning over, she reaches forward and with her right hand, taps at the screen.]
How did you even manage to fit in there? What is that? [Seriously, this is about to become twenty questions very quickly.]

So you aren't in danger?

Nonsense, of course not.

Don't expect it.
[ Not from them, at least. ]
[ video ]
Is that... an animal? Just where has she gone to?
She stares blankly for a few moments, trying to piece things together, and feels minutely frustrated because she simply... can't.]
I do appreciate your information. [His opinion? His warning?] Pardon me as I don't intend to be rude, but what are you? You don't appear to be a Manakete...
[ video ]
It is clear that you are not from here, so you have all of the reason to ask. Tch... I'm used to it.
[ He wrinkles his snout briefly before addressing her again. ]
As for your question, I am a hedgehog. I... have absolutely no idea what a Manakete is.
[ video ]
A hedgehog...? [She has no idea what that is.] My knowledge on them is... sparse, at best.
[ video ]
[ Shadow gives a curious tilt of his head. Is she a warrior, or is this just customary for peasants in her village? Hmm. ]
I am Shadow. You are...?

[She pauses. In Magvel she's called herself Erina. But Innes is here. And from what she gathers, he seems intent on protecting her. Likely hasn't even made the effort to hide his own identity. But she doesn't know if she can trust anyone here.
It's a 'school,' though. She's safer if she's wary, but she's also a representative of her lineage and her kingdom. Lying at the forefront of things - even for her own protection - may not be understood. Eirika's uncertainties tug her back and forth a few times as she tries to make a final decision.
And she decides to hope for the best.]
--Eirika, the Princess of Renais.
[ video ]
I see. I... don't believe you are the only royalty here, but... hm.
[ He curiously twitches an ear, his hand cupping over his little hedgehog chin. ]
Why would an esteemed ruler be at an academy like this?
[ video ]
[Not the way Innes' was, evidently. She's still not sure why King Hayden would send his son to such a place.]
I appear to have come simply by coincidence and before I had the opportunity to depart, a rather large... hand... was enthusiastically welcoming and hurrying me along.
[She has absolutely no idea what she's been roped into.]

[Why are there all of these talking animals?]

I'm Banjo!

Are you a student here, Banjo?
[As she slyly avoids introducing herself. For now. While she tries to figure out if this bear means more harm than good.]

I'm not certain of how that's possible.
