text, middle of the night
It seems as though I have returned at a fitting time.
Something so precarious.
No matter then. I will return to work posthaste.
It seems I must reintroduce myself. Very well, my name is Cyrus. I have been the Ethics teacher here, and I trust I remain in that position. I was called away urgently for many months and will not speak more on it.
I demand those in my class pay attention and do the work that is assigned to them. This ought not be an extraordinary thing; in fact it ought to be expected. Yet as with much, this has fallen by the wayside.
For you to reconsider the world and what you know of it--that is my aim. What surrounds us and fills our lives often passes us by for the commonality of it. For us to act ethically is for us to be thoughtful of those things around us and their impact on the greater whole of existance.
I urge critical thinking, and for those in my class to be able to support your beliefs. Do not be surprised if you are unable to do so immediately. You have not spared thought for such things before, and as such you may find it difficult.
Yet it is ultimately rewarding, for therein lies justice itself.
And justice is something that must be upheld. I am certain that you have seen why.

Yeah, see, the universe as it is now is pretty flawed, but at least it's real and tangible. You still got nothin' to convince me what you wanted to do was gonna work, let alone solve any problems. So, y'know. I'll take the universe where the folks I know are alive and well if it's all the same to you.
no subject
My work is flawless. I will show you my proofs if you like; I do not hide them. However, you will not be able to understand them.
no subject
Uh-huh. Chances are if I can't understand it it wouldn't work. Ever hear of the KISS method? Keep It Simple, Stupid? All the best plans follow the KISS method.
no subject
You would not understand because you have not studied astrophysics. By your logic, the present universe does not fit your definition of "working".
no subject
Look. I might not be a scientist, but I know a few things. One thing I know is that you're a mortal guy and therefore you can't be a god. Trust me, if I can tussle with you and break your ribs without being powered up on Chaos Energy, you can't be around at the start of a new Universe. If there was a Big Bang with you at the epicenter, chances are you'd wind up spread around the new universe like a drop of jelly on a really big piece of toast. Really, think about it hard enough and it's like I saved your life by knockin' you around.

It is said to be nearly impossible to kill a ghost-type. Whoever committed this savagery was unrelenting. All the more reason to put an end to this and bring to justice those behind it.
Do you believe gods to be immortal? They appear to be, owing to their lifespans and seeming invulnerability, but are they truly? It is quite the contrary. Gods die. The same legends that tell of their power and history also tell of their mortality. Though it be difficult, they are indeed mortal, and for you to tell otherwise is to show your ignorance of the subject. And with power over space and time, let me be spread! I will simply reform however I please. Though I may remain mortal as a god, I would not die in the creation. Perhaps you may question Arceus on its survival of such an event. A being who is as well mortal, and who will perish when this universe ends.
no subject
I'd ask Arceus if she were around. Point is, if my fist can bruise you, the birth of a new universe would destroy you. You don't have the ability to reform as you please unless I'm missing somethin' pretty signifigant in Human Biology.
no subject
...No, it could not be that blade. Though undoubtably there are others akin to it.
You caused such damage because I had not yet taken that power. Once it becomes mine, once I begin the new beginning, I will be free of such risks. And the new creation cannot happen without my divinity preceeding it.
no subject
And how exactly do you plan on taking divinity? That collection of red gems?
no subject
The purpose of the Red Chain is that, yes.
no subject
OK, see, I'm no stranger to taking power from certain gems and becoming Godlike. I've done it myself. A buncha times. My question is, if you could have done that, why didn't you do it when you realized I was going to fight you? If you really can go Super Cyrus, why didn't you? I mean, not gonna lie - I've beaten up gods before, but it woulda given you a fighting chance.
no subject
The process is not instantaneous. What you witnessed, that was only the first step.
Perhaps...yes. I will show you.
[[all right and here he puts up a ton of very scientific text with a lot of numbers acting as letters. It would probably require a postgraduate degree to just read the title, or at least it feels that way.]]
This is a summary of what ought to have transpired.

[And so Knuckles tried to make sense of the equation and... just... no. It was like an entirely foreign language and he really had no tools to even begin undferstanding it. ]
...uuuuuh-huh. Yeah. I think you and I have different ways of drawing godlike power from gemstones.
no subject
Perhaps they are closer methods than you believe. What I have shared is simply a description of the process. I consider it vital knowledge, though I suppose it is possible to undertake it without knowing the formulae behind it. I simply prefer to remain in control of such things.
no subject
Yeah... that's true. Break it down far enough and doing anything really can be boiled down to an equation or set of them. I learned that much from hanging around with Tails.
no subject
True. It is not necessary to understand, for instance, biology in order to possess a body. But when one seeks to undertake a process which has never been done before, it is imperative to understand as much as possible, every step, even if unseen.
no subject
Sure. I guess. I mean, I have a particular connection to the gems of power I've used, so, it's a little different. I can feel their energies from a distance so drawing on them is like second nature to me. Not everyone can do the same.
[Now he was kind of imagining Super Cyrus - his hair was already blue and spiky, so, it would probably turn Gold like Sonic's...]
and of course we know what he would sound like since same voice actor
Haha, awesome XD
