It seems as though I have returned at a fitting time.

Something so precarious.

No matter then. I will return to work posthaste.

It seems I must reintroduce myself. Very well, my name is Cyrus. I have been the Ethics teacher here, and I trust I remain in that position. I was called away urgently for many months and will not speak more on it.

I demand those in my class pay attention and do the work that is assigned to them. This ought not be an extraordinary thing; in fact it ought to be expected. Yet as with much, this has fallen by the wayside.

For you to reconsider the world and what you know of it--that is my aim. What surrounds us and fills our lives often passes us by for the commonality of it. For us to act ethically is for us to be thoughtful of those things around us and their impact on the greater whole of existance.

I urge critical thinking, and for those in my class to be able to support your beliefs. Do not be surprised if you are unable to do so immediately. You have not spared thought for such things before, and as such you may find it difficult.

Yet it is ultimately rewarding, for therein lies justice itself.

And justice is something that must be upheld. I am certain that you have seen why.

Mac. It seems that much has happened in my absense. Tell me of this violent outburst that has consumed the town.

Drugged lollipops that went way outta control.

It's now gone into non-humans vs. humans again too.

But we're lookin' into it before we knock some heads. Like where these pops came from and how to stop 'em. And stop from innocent people gettin' landed in the hospitals.

I see. This must be stopped. What has been done to stem the tide of violence? I assume the distributors of these drugs have been dealt with. Or must we set to that as well?

We're workin' on it. I'm currently tryin' to get a hold on as many of those lollipops as I can and givin' em to the cops.

Just keep your eye out for anythin' fishy, sir. And watch out for any off brand lollipops.

But it don't matter. I got a taste, literally, first hand before anyone knew. So I got experience on it.

Why do you care so much?

I don't. To care implies the presence of compassion, and I possess none.

However, my interest in stopping such destruction ought to be evident--it is my responsibility, and yours, and that of every sentient being, to end such suffering. Only then can we truly move forward as a world, as a universe. We bear a great burden simply by living, and far too many ignore it. I call us to action to reclaim the peace this world requires.

Last time you spoke like you knew the world or the universe so much, you caused a lot of ruckus.

Last thing a lot of people need here is that since we're really tryin' to find solutions. People got hurt y'know. Someone got killed here.

If you'll actually help the cause, I ain't got a problem with you. But there's people very sore right now and might not be very acceptin' so.

Trying to find solutions...I doubt that. Even thus far I can tell that this is not a pressing issue in so many minds.

Cuz I dunno what you see but I see a lotta people who are gettin' affected by this whole mess. And wanna get out of it.

And yet action to bring an end to it is scarce, if present at all.

But that's only because we don't know all the details yet. I'm all for gettin' stuff done fast if it's causin' problems, but throwing fists in the dark don't mean jack if you can't SEE nothin', even if there's somethin' there...if you get that lil' analogy.

Unless if you got all the answers, which I doubt, I don't think you have the right to judge any of us.

Barging ahead blindly is foolishness. Yet there has been hardly an effort to enlighten the area, to continue your comparasion. Surely you see the need for this.
