Exploration!

[Link is exploring the campus. Empty classrooms, broom closets, forgotten and dusty nooks and crannies. You name it, he's exploring it. He needs to know where everything is, to fill out his map. A compass marking treasures would be nice at some point. In the meantime, he can be found anywhere your character might happen to be on campus. Probably breaking random crockery or cutting grass.

Because that's what heroes do.]

[Innocent or really dense, Samus couldn't quite decide. The woman seemed to ease from her intimidating stance, taking consideration of his words and approached what few pots remained. She shall humor him.]

[Pot number one, she hefts up and turns upside down, giving it a shake or two for good measure. Nothing falls out!]

[What is this sorcery?

Link shook his head.]

No. You have to break it to get what it's hiding. Otherwise you can't get it out.

[He picked up a pot and promptly smashed it against the ground to demonstrate.

...oddly enough, a cartoonish, pink heart popped out and floated slowly down to the ground. Link grinned and pointed at it.]

[...WHAT IS THIS SORCERY. Samus can safely say, in all her destructive space box shootings and space pirate disintegratings, she had never seen a delicate little pink heart float out of a broken pot.

Should she touch it...

Curiously, and with a hypocritical lack of remorse for the pots she was originally trying to save, she picks another one up and smashes it on the ground.

Behold in its shattered remains: a single green rupee.]

[Link's face lit up like it was Christmas and he hurried over to the rupee to grab it before it disappeared on them.

Link held it out to her. She had destroyed the pot it had been hiding in, so it was technically hers Even if he wanted to shove it in his wallet and never look back]

It's a rupee. You buy things with it.

[She inspects the gem over in her hands, imagining it to be worth more than it actually was. She almost... wants to go smash some more pots to see what else is inside.]

I imagine you don't know how much it's worth in space credits, do you?

[Link shook his head.]

It's a green rupee so it's only worth one rupee. Blue rupees are worth five and red are worth twenty.

[Link took forty rupees. He took 40 rupees. That's as many as four tens. And that's terrible.

So it's at the bottom of the rung then, huh? She pockets the jewel and decides to keep it anyway.]

And you get all these from smashing pots...?

And cutting grass, too!

[The School's lawn had been pretty immaculately trimmed the last couple days.]

[Just repeating that aloud because. That sounds as incredulous as breaking pots. And it actually working. ...Well. At the very least she can't argue with immaculate lawns.]

Well, sometimes when monsters die they drop hearts... but usually it's just the pots and grass... oh! But some rocks are like that, too. You can throw them against a wall or the ground and they'll break apart the way pots do. Sometimes they'll have treasures, too!
