Spring!
A nameless hill
in the haze.

[There is a pause.]

I thought I would try my paw at a bit of poetry, but I'm not sure I'm quite suited for it.

That said, 'tis the season when life begins anew, especially for our verdant friends. The Guardian Sapling a few of you helped me plant a few months ago has reached full maturity already, and so Sakuya may watch over us from afar. Perhaps the distortion of time and space aided with that...

That out of the way, I have a question for you... what are your more long-term plans for the season, friends?

A guardian sapling?

Yes. An offshoot of Konohana, a sacred tree of my land. I brought it with me when I arrived here.

What a wonderful thing to do! Where can I find this sapling? I'd very much like to see it. If it's sacred, then I should pay my respects!

It's located somewhere on campus. Where are you, dear? I can show you the way. I'm sure Sakuya, the tree's spirit, would appreciate it.

I'm in the place called the dorms. Would it be easier to meet you outside? I'm very easy to find, just look for pink flowers.

Pink flowers? Alright. And if you happen to see me first, I look like a white wolf. I'll head out in a few minutes, but you can take your time. I just like the fresh air.

[Blame it on the excitement of the first day of spring, but Kieran, unfortunately, had let his eagerness get the best of him again. As soon as he'd told this spirit what to look for, he'd left the computer. The word "wolf" had fallen on an empty room.

A shame; if he'd known what to expect then this meeting would probably go smoother. Alas, it was an earnestly oblivious flowerdeer that sprang out onto the campus green, happily looking for signs of what surely must be some sort of harmless tree spirit, right?]

Aaah~ Mother, is that you?

Well, I'm going to continue working with the track team. You're welcome to join in whenever you like~

[... OMG! She's not all that surprised, but she's very excited nonetheless.] Kazegami, my child? How wonderful it is to hear your voice after these long months. You sound well!

Track suits you well; you are one with the wind, after all. I'll be certain to drop by at the very least.

I have been, Mother. When you left the Celestial Plane, it grew ever so dull there. I traveled to many different worlds before landing here.

I would most definitely enjoy a race if you were so inclined.

It's lovely to hear that your sapling has matured! Where is this Guardian Sapling planted, anyway? I'd like to see it sometime soon.

Hmm...as for long term plans, I am planning on going back to my hometown for a few days. However, that's not for a couple of more months.
