I don't think I could refer to last week's thing as a date, but it was interesting.

Once I got to look back on it after chugging a bottle of Purell once I got home.

He was nice, at least.

Wait, Purell...? That's a brand of hand sanitizer! You shouldn't be drinking that stuff! I hate to think of what sorts of horrid things that could do to your digestion! Please say it was an exaggeration!

In this case, I don't think 'alcohol is alcohol' really applies... You just drank a shot of hand sanitizer, for crying out loud! Are you feeling okay? My worry is kind of getting out of control!

I'm glad that's all you suffered. I consulted the internet for some extra information and I couldn't help but be mortified by this post someone made:

"Can you drink hand sanitizer?

The answer is an unequivocal NO. The alcohol used in these products is either ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. While ethyl alcohol is what is in your booze, the purity, concentrations, and other ingredients in hand sanitizer makes wholly unsuitable for consumption. isopropyl alcohol is unsafe for ingestion at any concentration, and will cause a wretched death faster than ethyl alcohol could ever hope to...if ethyl alcohol was sentient.

If you were foolish or desperate enough to drink it, you would, at best, get nauseous and vomit or at worst sink into a coma and suffer irreversible brain damage. In a recent case study, test subjects Robert J Ford and Donovan L Anderson from Delaware got addicted to consuming some free samples of Hand Sanitizer (Compliments of Biaxin XL). Unfortunately, the Sanitizer was expired and mutated into Tequila. Both subjects are now in 12-step programs of AA."

And that sounds completely unsettling...

That still doesn't make it a good idea!

Just... don't drink it in the future, okay? Promise me that?
