[Meet Snake.

Snake is leafing through some pages in an taupe coloured folder. Probably records on his students. And murmuring to himself. At least, at first. Feet upon his desk, he is completely the air of Professional Teacher.]

So. Halloween is on its way.
Never really celebrated it myself, but I guess kids will be kids.

I take it I don't have to decorate my classroom for it.
And if I do, one of you students can do it for me.

[In other words, Snake's not in the mood to celebrate.]

It's overdone, but after a visit to a friend, I thought I'd go to the tavern.

Last year they had a masquerade ball thing. Everybody had to wear a tux or a dress and a fancy mask.

Ain't mine neither but they made me wear the mask anyway, even though I already had another costume. It's hard to get somethin' in my size, I had to get that ready like a month before.

Attendance isn't required. Problem solved. You're not required to go; don't go.

Last year we had to. Who knows what they'll do this year.

And anyway I'm a teacher. They usually make teachers go to things.

We have plenty of teachers here. Why does every single one need to show up?

Because some of the students are ghosts or werewolves or can breath fire or can fly or can punch through walls?

And every teacher needs to be present. When we have over twenty members of faculty and probably more. Tell me why all twenty need to be present. Are we lacking competent instructors?
