Exploration!
[Link is exploring the campus. Empty classrooms, broom closets, forgotten and dusty nooks and crannies. You name it, he's exploring it. He needs to know where everything is, to fill out his map. A compass marking treasures would be nice at some point. In the meantime, he can be found anywhere your character might happen to be on campus. Probably breaking random crockery or cutting grass.
Because that's what heroes do.]

...Other than to pick up her previous paycheck.
She really should look into direct deposit one of these days. With every intention of not staying any longer than need be, her boots take swift and determined strides down the hallways and towards the faculty mailboxes. Mission get in, get out; simple as that. No distractions. No... sudden curiosity at the smashing, crashing clattering sounds coming from one of the ceramic art rooms down the hall...Yes, that appeared to be... Link? One of the Links. A Link.
Smashing pots. Making a big mess all over the floor.]
...What are you doing?
[Asked the blonde woman in casual attire standing behind him, one hand on her hip. Her tone carried somewhere between unamused, confused and disapproving all the same]
no subject
So many pretty girls here!]Looking for treasure.
[That out of the way, he threw the pot against the floor and watched it break apart.]
no subject
Treasure?
[...really innocent. Still, careless destruction of personal property wasn't a good habit for one so young to get into.
Samus was speaking entirely from experience.]You won't find treasure in there.
no subject
I still haven't broken them all. I might find treasure in those ones!
[He was very optimistic about his chances.]
no subject
Hn.
[Pot number one, she hefts up and turns upside down, giving it a shake or two for good measure. Nothing falls out!]
no subject
Link shook his head.]
No. You have to break it to get what it's hiding. Otherwise you can't get it out.
[He picked up a pot and promptly smashed it against the ground to demonstrate.
...oddly enough, a cartoonish, pink heart popped out and floated slowly down to the ground. Link grinned and pointed at it.]
See?
no subject
Should she touch it...
Curiously, and with a hypocritical lack of remorse for the pots she was originally trying to save, she picks another one up and smashes it on the ground.
Behold in its shattered remains: a single green rupee.]
What is that?
no subject
((You got a Green Rupee! That's worth 1 Rupees! Don't spend it all in one place!))
Link held it out to her. She had destroyed the pot it had been hiding in, so it was technically hers
Even if he wanted to shove it in his wallet and never look back]It's a rupee. You buy things with it.
no subject
[She inspects the gem over in her hands, imagining it to be worth more than it actually was. She almost... wants to go smash some more pots to see what else is inside.]
I imagine you don't know how much it's worth in space credits, do you?
no subject
It's a green rupee so it's only worth one rupee. Blue rupees are worth five and red are worth twenty.
no subject
Link took forty rupees. He took 40 rupees. That's as many as four tens. And that's terrible. So it's at the bottom of the rung then, huh? She pockets the jewel and decides to keep it anyway.]
And you get all these from smashing pots...?
no subject
[The School's lawn had been pretty immaculately trimmed the last couple days.]
no subject
[Just repeating that aloud because. That sounds as incredulous as breaking pots. And it actually working. ...Well. At the very least she can't argue with immaculate lawns.]
Is that all?
no subject
no subject
And to see the sight of the young boy, the shattered pottery before him-- ]
Are you alright?!
no subject
...
[He looked down at the pottery, then himself, patting his body to check for any scrapes or bruises he may have somehow missed before looking to her once more.]
yes?
no subject
Did you become lost? Here- [ Furiae moved some from the door, allowing him some room to leave if he would. ] You shouldn't be inside this room. If you are in need of anything, an adult will help you.
no subject
[He shook his head and then frowned as she said he shouldn't be in there. He made no move to try and leave.]
But the door opened.
no subject
[ His words had her curious. What did he mean...? ]
no subject
[Because doors he wasn't supposed to go into wouldn't open, duh.]
no subject
Was there something that you needed?
no subject
I had to break that.
no subject
[ Still totally unsure of everything... ]
no subject
no subject
no subject
No one told me that. I've found treasure before so I know I can. I just have to break it to find out.
no subject
...what are you doing, kid.

He knew that face! He'd seen it in his dreams. The man had been atop a dark four-legged creature, laughing at him before throwing some sort of magic to knock him back. The dream always ended there, with Link waking up shaken. Sometimes yelling. He didn't know who the man was, but he knew the man had to be a bad person.
All this was racing through his mind as he stared at Ganondorf, not saying a word, frozen in shock as he was.]
no subject
Pick up...the papers. I like my classroom clean.
no subject
Link shook his head and rubbed his eyes for a moment as Navi flew from the other thing he'd ben looking at to destroy to the man at the desk. She floated around his head, glowing green and drawing Link's focus back to the man as he tried to figure out what was going on. She had nothing to say about him right then, but the fairy boy was still very wary.
The dreams had been haunting him for months, after all. Navi didn't know about them, or the details of them, anyway. But to Link, they were currently at the forefront of his mind.
And the man still wasn't standing up to attack him.
...
With a blossoming sense of embarrassment and more than a little uncertainty, Link knelt down to gather the scattered papers and then nervously offer them back to the man.]
no subject
He does, however, know what you are.]
I suppose Kokiri could survive outside of the Forest considering everything else I've seen in this school before. You look like a young version of Link, kid.
[Oh did I mention that the previous Link was someone Ganondorf enjoyed to tease, prank and relentlessly annoy? Consider your stars lucky that this is not happening and also that he's not quite as evil just yet.]
no subject
But now that he's going off more than surface looks, that nose is a heck of a lot different, wasn't it? Dreams are weird.Of course, the words cause the fairy boy quite a bit of shock and worry. Since, well, his name was Link. And he didn't think anyone knew about the Kokiri. Because no one had seemed to know who they were up until now.]
You... you've met Kokiri before?
[
Try any of that and he'll kick your shins mister!]no subject
No.
But it would be ill advised of the King of the Gerudos not to be learned about all of the neighboring kingdoms around his domain, would it not?
[Truthfully, he's thought about going there, but he has no reason too. At least not yet. Perhaps if the negotiations with the King of Hyrule continue to be going down the slipper slope they have already started out on...]

Tall.]
2/2
How did you find out about the Kokiri?
[Link had never heard about the outside 'wide world' before leaving the forest and there had never been visitors to it as far as he knew. It stood to reason in his mind that if he didn't know about the outside, the outside shouldn't know about the Kokiri.
Shinguards! His only weakness! *shakes fist at sky*]no subject
Knowledge is Power, boy. I learned about all of the different races that popular Hyrule, the information is readily available for those who would seek it out.
[Nya nya nya too bad you were stuck in a forest against your will.]
no subject
How did you learn about it?
[He wasn't stuck! He just didn't know he could leave!]
no subject
Hey hey! You're doing it all wrong!
no subject
What are you talking about? He's totally doing it right!Link paused and looked over at the woman with hair. A sudden urge to climb up an see if it was a giant bird's nest furiously repressed as blinked back in surprise.]
Doing what wrong?
no subject
No.
Way.
He looked the part. He had the hat. He was even chopping through grass willy-nilly. But there was no way he would be here, right? Maybe he should get a closer look...
Skull Kid slowly climbed out of the tree and slunk closer to Link. First, he just stared. Should he say hi? Maybe he should say hi.]
...Hi.
no subject
Link blinked at the kid in more than a little shock before lifting his left hand and giving a small wave.]
Hi.
no subject
Um... how have... you been?
[One step at a time.]
no subject
[Was this one of the skull kids from the lost woods? Had this kid seen him when he was out foraging for the village perhaps?]
How have you been?
no subject
I'm being good! I haven't done anything bad... well, um, nothing really bad, at least.
I left after you left, and I came here. Oh! did you ever go back? Sorry if I wasn't there.
no subject
...were you following me?
no subject
[giggle giggle, good job missing the point, Skull Kid.]
no subject
Oh. Um... okay.
[All the unsure on this.]
Why were you hiding in the tree?
no subject
[...then it occurs to him to add a disclaimer to that.]
B-but I wasn't gonna, you know, steal anything from them or anything.
no subject
[Stealing is bad, mmmkay.
Unless it's Link doing the stealing]Have you surprised anyone yet?
