[When that time came, Peach made sure she looked her best. Wearing a very casual soft pink date dress and wearing some jewelry. She really looked like she was going on a date.]
[Complete with his blue contact lenses and slicked back hair, Miller decided to class it up with a tux. He kept his sunglasses hanging out of his breast pocket. Wouldn't be Miller without his sunglasses.
And so he made his way to Peach's dorm. ... Part of him wished he could just drop the disguise. He wasn't sure why. Perhaps because he was far more charmer than Miller ever could be without even trying. Wasn't there some sort of thing about women liking British accents?
... Why was he even thinking of this?
How... out of character of me. I must be spending far too much time in this masquerade.
He shook it off though, recomposed his Miller-self, and knocked on the door.]
[The sounds of heels clicked on the floor as Peach ran across her floor to answer the door. If that was who she thought it was, she hoped she looked presentable enough. It had been so long since she actually went on a date. Platonic feelings or not, Peach was going to treat this as an actual date for the sake of the holiday. She opened her door to see...Miller without...his glasses?]
[Peach was feeling her heart skip just a little bit. Though whether this meant that she simply thought this was charming or that this meant...well, she didn't know.]
I'm happy where ever we go. I'm not a picky person.
[And thus he led the princess to a rather fancy restaurant. The lights were dim inside and the stereo system softly played classic Italian music and tunes. Perfect place to set a romantic mood. It was a bit packed but they thankfully didn't have to wait for a table. Being the.. gentleman(?) he was, Miller pulled out the chair for Peach to sit, then sat across from her]
[Peach cannot believe how charming and adorable this whole thing was. She would see all the lovey dovey couples all over the place and they happened to be at a place filled with some of the most lovey dovey types. Cute, quaint yet fancy restaurant, a gentleman(?!) pulling out a chair for her. It was like it came out of some movie, oh my goodness. She accepted every little sweet thing around her, and formally thanked Miller Snake as he pulled a chair for her. She let out a sigh however when he asked that question.]
I have been doing better.
I still feel awful for that whole mess in the amusement park, I must have caused so much trouble.
[Peach smiled in relief. He didn't seem troubled. So she made a laugh.]
Hmm well, seeing as how rough you've treated students at your boot camp, I'm quite sure you've had your share of difficulties. You are a soldier after all, right?
[Oh Peach. He somewhat wishes he could tell you his true feelings about Big Boss... but unfortunately he has to fanboy like Kaz would.]
I do. He gives soldiers another chance and the strength to continue on. We were enemies the first time on the battle field... but he ended up saving me. I owe my life to him.
[Peach obviously has little knowledge on war. But she knew what it was like to make a comrade within a stressful situation. In all the adventures she had, she'd even teamed up with Bowser at some points.]
I see, so he was your comrade on the battlefield and a friend off of it.
Yeah, he was. Kinda wish he were here. He'd be hilarious to watch around Christmas time. Poor bastard believes in Santa Claus.
[Liquid was inwardly seething. His father, the man that deemed him inferior, believed in fucking Santa Claus. It had to be a joke. He wished it was a joke... but sadly, it was the truth.]
Yeah, I guess you're right... He loves cardboard boxes too. Not sure why.
[Actually, Liquid understood why. There was just something about a box... beckoning him to go inside. He realized how much of an idiot he looked like though using one so he rarely did]
He'd be a good teacher here. But enough about him... Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?
[Such flattery though. She does softly shake her head.]
I would like to believe every royal person should understand that his or her people depend on their rulers to make them comfortable in their kingdoms. Isn't that what they should be doing? I don't see it as a special thing...at least it shouldn't.

[She laughs at this. MILLERU you are so cute. R-right?]
No, I don't believe I am on this Valentine's Day.
[She would usually spend this day with Mario but...]

That sounds lovely. I would be delighted~.

...Oh hello.
[She looked shocked.]

[His smile faded though at her surprised expression]
Is something wrong?
no subject
I've just never seen you without your sunglasses on.
[She really. Never did.]
no subject
[He holds out his hand]
Shall we?
no subject
[They were just a little silly. She accepted his hand.]
Yes, let's.

Any place in particular you'd like to go or do you want me to surprise you?

I'm happy where ever we go. I'm not a picky person.

So, how've you been lately?
no subject
I have been doing better.
I still feel awful for that whole mess in the amusement park, I must have caused so much trouble.
no subject
Nah, trust me. That was an easy mission compared to some of the ones I've gone through.
Besides, rescuing a lovely lady from a tyrant is right up my alley.
no subject
Hmm well, seeing as how rough you've treated students at your boot camp, I'm quite sure you've had your share of difficulties. You are a soldier after all, right?

They always say a student is as good as your teacher.
I've been taught by royal ministers on how to be a proper princess myself.
[Pause.]
But I suppose even if you're taught by someone you only get far unless if you have a passion for what you do.
no subject
[Eyebrow wiggle then he sits back and becomes somewhat more serious.]
Big Boss was an amazing teacher. I've never met anyone quite like him...
no subject
I can see you regard him highly.
[That's all she's says. Care to elaborate.]
no subject
I do. He gives soldiers another chance and the strength to continue on. We were enemies the first time on the battle field... but he ended up saving me. I owe my life to him.

[Peach laughed a little. What to say about such things.]
I find that adorable in some way.
[A big tough soldier believes in a children's myth.]
Everyone keeps a piece of themselves from childhood, I suppose.

no subject
[Oh, okay, Kaz said stuff about him so it was fair.]
Hmmm, nothing is particularly interesting about my own life.
[Except her kidnapping record, yeesh.]
Most of my time as a princess was doing the duties that came with it.
no subject
Snake... As in.. Naked Snake?
[He knew it was Solid but... got to play the Miller act.]
And what exactly are a princess's duties? I know about ruling over people but...
no subject
[She smiled softly.]
If I was just to rule over people, I'd be a terrible princess.
My people matter a lot to me, so I must do what I can to do good things for them. Having a kingdom means nothing if people aren't happy living in it.
no subject
[And now time to get the suave on]
Not many rulers seem to be as kind and caring as you. You certainly are a rare gem of a princess... and a woman.
no subject
