[While Red went searching for the gift, Marie took in the fact that he was 17. He wondered if that's what Sasha's texts that he had ignored were about the other day... Man, he felt like a jerk now.

Gingerly, Marie took the pouch from Red and slid the trinket into his hand. He gently turned it over in his hand and smiled very shyly at it. Undoubtedly as a result of his heightened emotions, Marie started to cry again.]

It's nice... I'm sorry I keep crying...

[He pats Marie gingerly on the shoulder again. Red, after all this time still doesn't know how to deal with tears. The best he feels he can do is just be there for whenever it happens and wait it out. Tears usually dry up by themselves, and Red would wait until they did.]
