[Hey look at Mac. Mac looks happy. If you look carefully, you can see why he's happy. Look on his lap. It's a...little cute Bonsly. He is cute.]

Heeeeeeey guys, meet Rocky!

Say hi, Rocky!

[And he's looking at everyone and waving his fake tree branches. Mac looks like some happy five year old. He's happy like a doofus and is making the biggest, sunniest of smiles. A Pokemon time to take care of a Pokemon. Mac had dreamed of this day...next to to the height of his boxing career, obviously.]

[Wait how to take care of one.]

Well, I've never raised a kid before so I can't really say. Pokemon do tend to grow up quicker than humans. But yes, in theory, I guess it's the same sort of thing.

[Oh. Is that what Mac is worried about? Hm, how to put it...]

Not exactly. A person who raises a Pokemon is a trainer, and the relationship between a trainer and a Pokemon is different than that between humans. It may be similar, but your connection with Bonsly isn't the same as the connection between a parent and their child.

Many partnerships between trainers and Pokemon have been described as 'friendship' or 'brotherhood.' Like I said, Pokemon age differently than humans. It may seem like 'parenthood' now, but there will come a time when your Bonsly grows up becomes your equal, your 'partner.'
